Chapter 85: Devan is undefeated

This impromptu meeting was held with great emotion. Everyone was arguing to get their own justification. Including Alden, he was the most determined to control the company. While Devan still looks relaxed but Antony is panicking.

The atmosphere was getting boisterous, the board of directors tried to calm them down. They discussed and announced who the winner was in this impromptu meeting.

Alden stood up and Antony was shocked. From where Devan was able to buy as many shares as Antony was already ketar-ketir because his partner only loaned a few shares.

They nodded then showed on the screen that was on the wall. Alden doesn't love any of this. Of the 10 shareholders, Devan's is the highest while Alden is number 2. It shows that this company belongs partly to Devan and he still deserves to be a leader.

Alden slamming the glass made them very surprised while Devan was not surprised by Alden's reaction like that.

The meeting was closed, they went straight out of the room and approached their respective wives who were waiting with ketar-ketir. Sena immediately hugged Devan, no matter what happened she would accept her husband as he was.

"Mas, how?"

"Everything's fine."

Sena still did not understand, she hugged Devan tightly.

"Devan, Papa wants to talk."

Sena takes off her embrace, Devan takes her along to follow Antony. They sat in front of the dining table. Antony's face looked very confused.

"How in a few hours did you return the stock that plummeted? Even the help of Papa's friends shouldn't cover everything" Antony said.

Sena was still confused by this conversation and she was only a loyal listener.

"Maybe someone else thinks I'm just quiet but I acted when Alden kicked me out of my own office" Devan replied with an amused smile recalling all that. "Of course I asked for help from some of my clients and used Kia's secret stock."

Antony scrunched his forehead. Devan explained that if he already had money for his daughter in the bank even Winda knew that so now Winda is trying to approach Kia again to ask for property rights Kia. However, Devan is not that stupid. Devan quickly used the money to buy shares of the company that had initially plummeted because the market price of one of the products was falling drastically.

"You're that dear to Kia? Devan, someone as good as you must be a lot of trials. You are patient! Surely God will hear your complaints and grievances" said Antony.

Devan nodded, they continued the delayed dinner while having a warm chat. Actually he was quite hesitant to use his daughter's ration money but his doubts became lost when Kia began to be approached by Winda and Alden.

After eating, Devan and Sena say goodbye to them all. All respect Devan because he is a polite and calm person, unlike Alden who slightly let out his emotions.

In the car, Sena is confused with Devan because from this afternoon Devan was with her and did nothing but can handle all the problems.

"Mas, how can you gercep that?"

Devan chuckled, this is not the first time his shares have plummeted but fortunately it can always be helped. Devan also explained that many good people helped him. After this he had to thank them including Regan who was willing to lend money after they sent the message earlier this afternoon, he had to buy new shares to cover his.

"Ciee calls him still Brother Re."

Sena pinched her husband's shoulder causing him pain. He is very upset because Devan always teases Regan's problems.

"Why would he lend me?" asked Sena in surprise.

"Because I borrowed it. I told him about the company's problems. He said if there's any savings then offered me. I need that money once and I borrow it and I'll give it back next month" Devan replied.

Sena bit her lip, for whatever it was tied to Regan. Regan and Alden are supposed to be the men they should be afraid of because their attitudes were once evil in the past.

"The money was returned. I don't want any debt" Sena said.

"Yes, I must have returned it."

They returned home quietly and when they got home asked Sena for a ration. Sena gave it to him let alone buy him a new evening dress. They make out to enjoy tonight especially in the house that there is no Kia who bothers them.

Raisa, the beautiful woman is checking out the duties of her student. From the window of his room he could notice the silhouette of Bram pacing back and forth. Raisa puts down her pen and goes to Bram's place.

Bram opened the door, he immediately held onto Raisa's two shoulders.

"You can drive away the cockroaches?"

Raisa nodded her head. "There's cockroaches?"

Bram nodded, he immediately told Raisa to come in and drive the cockroach away. Raisa looked at the cockroach that was behind the closet and there were a lot of cockroaches. Bram who was a widower did not have time to clean the house and there was no maid there.

"Sir Bram, there's a lot of cockroaches."
