Chapter 57: Restu

The clink of a wall clock echoed in the living room. A man with a mantab grasped the hand of the woman beside him. The man took the woman he loved for the second time in front of his parents. The fear of the woman's face was clearly described from earlier even she was now unable to lift her face to see her future father-in-law. 

"Why are you looking for a woman who always had a dark past in her household first?" ask Antony.

"There's no other reason but one that I love her."

Antony was grieving, Devan used to say the same thing when he brought Winda to them. Sofia tries to calm the husband, she is afraid that her husband will be high blood if she thinks too much about her son's love problems. 

"I don't agree. You just divorced Winda a few months ago and now say you're going to marry your own secretary. How did someone else say? They will definitely accuse you of cheating while still married to your ex-wife." 

Devan was only thin, he had guessed that the Papa would not agree. He then stood up while holding Sena, he felt he did not need the blessing of the Papa because without him he could still marry Sena. Sofia tries to restrain Devan but Devan stays in his position to step away from them while taking Sena. 

"If you still want to marry her then get ready you'll lose your position as company leader and all the facilities will be revoked."

Devan stopped in his steps.  "Do it! I'm sick of living under a lot of pressure."

Sena looked at Devan who was not kidding. Why become like this? 

"Sister Dev, don't be so just to marry me!" whispered Sena. 

"I'm not kidding. Can you live a simple life, Sena? You still want to accept me even though I'm no longer the company's leader?" devan asked in a loud voice. 

Sena nodded but what about Kia? Kia had lived with a lot of money and always got what she wanted.

"Go! Papa will see how strong you can live without treasure and for Kia to let him be with us" Antony said.

"He'll come with me because he's my son."

Devan heads to his room to take care of all his belongings, Kia is only confused by the Papa telling him to pack his belongings. Kia was afraid that the father decided to leave this house because Kia was comfortable here. 

"Well, we're gonna learn to live a simple life."

"I don't want to. I don't want to leave this house."

Devan looked at Kia then crouched down in front of her. "Kia, this isn't Papa's house."

Kia pushed Devan. "I'll stay here with Opa and Oma." 

Devan was very disappointed with the statement from his daughter, he became a dilemma. If Devan can't bring his daughter along with him then he will be labeled as a selfish father who prefers his future wife. Sofia comes to her son's room, explaining she will take good care of Kia while Devan has to prove to Antony that he can still live without a job and a lot of money. 

"How can I live without my daughter?"

"Devan, maybe this is just for a little while. You know for yourself, don't you if your father wasn't that cruel. He's just testing you and Sena." 

Devan shook his head, there must be another way that Antony could be knocked out. Devan has to find that way.

"If Kia doesn't want to go with me then I won't go. I'll find another way."

In the living room, Sena squeezed her hands while dealing with the would-be-in-law. It feels very tense to face Antony rather than Bram first.

"I heard Sofia's story about your household first? Why are you so stupid that you can cheat? Don't you feel suspicious?" ask Antony.

"My ex-husband is a manipulative person. He is good at reasoning and I believe him, too" Sena replied with a small smile.

Sena recalled her past as if feeling amused herself. I didn't know he was that stupid. Antony looked closely at the innocence of Sena, the woman did look easily fooled because she had good thoughts.

"Do you know that Devan has a hard time having offspring?"

DEG....

Apparently Antony already knows about his son, does Devan know about himself?

"I already know from Miss Winda."

"That brashness told you about it?"

Sena nodded. Sena did not think about the problem, she did not care if Devan was barren or not. Man is not spared from the word imperfection. The problem about momongan? They already have Kia and if indeed they want to make a sister for Kia then it can be done other methods especially Devan has a lot of money.

"For you, what kind of Devan?" ask Antony.

"Sister Devan is a kind, friendly leader, he is rarely angry and always dignified and another one that makes me fall in love with him because he loves his son very much with his heart. I was amazed by Brother Devan and he also wanted to forgive Miss Winda even though she had hurt him."

"So you're saying Devan is strong enough for you to hurt again?"

Sena shook her head. "We used to be very hurt by our partner but after this we can strengthen each other."

Antony was moved when he heard Sena's very sincere words. Sena is a good woman but used to be unfortunately wrong to have a partner.

Devan, Kia and Sofia came down from the room and approached them.

"Devan? You picked a good partner."

Antony's words confused Devan.

"Papa bless you" said Antony.
