Chapter 74: The Parting

Regan intends to meet Maya who is in prison. He was accompanied by Bram heading there. In the car, Regan was silent and pensive. His ex-wife has been getting happiness with a man whose incident is a close friend first.

"Re, will you be there for a second? Papa has business" said Bram.

"Yes, Pah."

Regan's phone sounded from the group notification of her fellow lecturers who gave her support. They already know if Regan is depressed because of Sena's loss but they don't know if the cause of Regan's divorce with Sena is Maya, their co-worker as well.

His students also continued to support and even asked Regan to return to teach at the campus but he did not want to go back there because he had done something that could make the campus's good name tarnished.

"Today we honeymooned with Devan when we never had a honeymoon" muttered Regan but was heard by the Papa.

"Tomorrow if you have another wife take her on her honeymoon and for the past don't think about it. The person you hurt is already very happy."

Regan nodded, she tried to accept all of this. It is undeniable that his fate is indeed very bad and he also made it that way. Arriving there, she meets Maya alone while Bram waits for her outside.

Maya gets thinner with a bulging belly, she also cuts her hair until it is really short.

"Regan, you don't want to get me out of here?" ask Maya to weld.

"I'm sorry, you deserve to go to jail for making a big mistake" Regan replied.

Maya cries bitterly, she clasps Regan's hand but the man brushes her off. Actually Regan does not have the heart but what can be done, his ex-wife did commit a criminal offense.

"If you don't want to, please call Abi! I want her to set me free and tell me I'm pregnant with her son." Maya has no power to stem her grief.

"Maya, enough! Don't expect to get sympathy from men again! I have prepared a house and everything for you and your son because that is your right to be my wife. After getting out of prison, live quietly without harassing other men anymore! You women should take good care of yourself" Regan explained.

Maya shook her head. She cries sobbing in front of Regan, she still expects her ex-husband to help her. Regan stood up, saying goodbye to go home. His dealings with Maya are over and he must now meet Zara. Regan is indeed very guilty of giving Zara false hope.

"Maya, take good care of yourself! Really am! I apologize profusely and I say goodbye to staying in Europe."

Regan leaves, still hearing Maya's cries at every step of her foot. Not the heart, that's what really happened but who would have thought if now it has changed not like before. He doesn't want to be fooled by women, he doesn't want to be stuck in the same hole.

After Maya, Regan plans to meet Zara and her son. Of course he wanted to apologize and provide a little compensation for Zara who he had already harmed.

Bram takes Regan but he can't wait for his son because there is an important need.

In the car, he has to accept if Zara berates him. Zara's nature is hard and always acts rashly on a problem.

Regan kept sighing, it might be best if he had to leave this country. He must also be able to move on from Sena who has now found a new partner as fast as lightning.

Arriving at the cafe,

Regan meets Zara alone. The woman was already staring intently at Regan as if she wanted to pounce on him.

"How are you?" ask Regan.

"I think you're dead" Zara replied very cynically.

"It's not that easy to die."

Regan orders her favorite food, again finding Sena's favorite food first, a steak of fries with a muted cheese sauce. Regan tries to close the menu book again and looks at Zara who is still looking at her cynically.

"Why did you bring me here?" ask Zara.

Regan gave a check that was written nominally. Zara looked at him in wonder.

Zara ripped it off. "Do you think money can solve everything? You've hurt me a lot and you deserve to be crazy."

Zara took her bag and left Regan. Regan understood, his mistake was fatal to the three women but he had tried to apologize sincerely.

"Zara, I'm going to Europe."

Zara's steps stopped. "Go there! I don't care." Zara leaves Regan.

Now staying farewell to Sena, Regan rushes to the hotel where Sena is staying. Fortunately, the woman had not yet gone on a honeymoon abroad. Regan to the hotel using a taxi that is around. It is his duty to say goodbye to them.

Arriving there.

Sena was already waiting at the door of the hotel, she was wearing a scarf that covered her neck. Regan came, she immediately greeted Sena.

"Sorry to interrupt" said Regan.

"It's okay. Let's just sit there!" sena Pinta.

They sat on the couch near the lobby. Sena ordered drinks for them. Regan notices Sena who seems to have no hatred for Regan.

"Again congratulations on your marriage" Regan said.

"Yes, brother. Thank ye. Then why did Regan ask to meet?"

Regan took a long breath. "Heah.I want to apologize to you. I was wrong with you and I regret it."

Sena smiled a little. "Sister Regan's not apologizing to me?"

"But I still feel so guilty about you. I am also going to Europe this week. At least I want to say goodbye to you so that there is no obstructed heart" explained Regan.

Devan came, he just took a shower with his hair still wet. Sena stood up to welcome the husband as well as Regan.

Regan greets Devan, Devan retaliates well.

"What's up, Regan?" ask Devan.

Regan hugs Devan, apologizing profusely for the misunderstanding. Because of that, their friendship also became tenuous.

"It's okay, Re. I'm also sorry if something's wrong with you" Devan replied.

"Devan, I'm going to Europe this week."

"Lecture?"

Regan shook her head. "No, my scholarship has been revoked because I gave my answer too long. You know what I've been doing lately?"

"Regan, I will always support your every decision because you are my friend."

Sena smiled to see her ex-husband and her husband now getting along. It was a great relief because there was no burden of self-torture.

"Devan, I'm taking Sena! You have to take good care of him. Please love him too!" regan's Pinta.

"Surely, Re. Don't you worry! I'll take good care of him. Oh yeah, don't forget if you come back here and bring souvenirs alias a potential wife for you," replied Devan.
