The Demon God King's son-in-law
CHAPTER 2 | Liver Grass

Trang! Trang!

A fierce fight ensued between them, uncle Ji was a little overwhelmed in the crack by three people including the leader of the robber troupe.

Two of his Orange-level men had been killed by them, the remaining three of his surviving subordinates were fighting against two of the robbers.

“Quick run the train, leave this place” uncle Ji ordered to the coachman while blocking the attacker who was about to head towards the train.

The train was moving at high speed into the city.

“Stop that train” the robber chief's orders.

Uncle Ji swiftly confronted the person who was about to block the carriage. Fierce resistance ensued and Uncle Ji managed to kill the two attackers.

“Take the horse, chase the carriage” command the chief of robbers.

Soon one of his remaining men took the horse and gave it to the chief, but just walking a few meters, the horses fell down and fainted on the ground.

“What happened?” shouted the robber leader

“Fucking boy, what did you give our horses?” his screams returned to look at their horses on falling unconscious on the ground.

The horse-drawn carriage that had run away had left their place. The robber chief gnashed his teeth then was about to charge towards Shen Long out of anger.

Uncle Ji who saw the attack immediately helped block it until Shen Long was out of danger.

“I fight. Don't kill anyone else” said uncle Ji

The chief robbers are overwhelmed against Ji alone, while their men are already scattered into corpses and wounded on the ground. Only the chief robber was left and at the moment he could not serve from Ji.

The leader of the robbers then turned his attack towards Ji's subordinate who only had two people left.

Crass!

“Awas!” uncle Ji shouted to warn his men, but too late, in one felled his two men who were only Orange level killed.

The chief robber immediately fled while shouting “I will avenge today's events”

Uncle Ji was relieved, then tried to regulate his breathing to recover his condition. Then he walked towards Shen Long.

“Young people, thank you for your help. How can you make their horses fall on the ground?” tannya

“I just gave them a heart” grass meal Shen Long said lightly

“Heart grass?” thought uncle Ji. Liver grass is one of the medicinal ingredients to weaken the human body and can temporarily paralyze suddenly, but the effect is not too dangerous.

“Where does this young man know of medicinal ingredients like this” he thinks back

“Young people, where are you going?” ask uncle Ji

“I have no destination tuan” said Shen Long in a flat tone.

“Then come with me to the city, we need someone to be the steward of the horse” said uncle Ji invited Shen Long.

“Alright sir, thank you” said Shen Long obediently while bowing his body

Then Uncle Ji took him to the Yun family residence inside the city. Seeing uncle Ji's arrival, Yun Mei who had been waiting for a long time immediately approached him.

“Uncle, you're okay right?” ask Yun Mei.

“Thank you miss. I'm fine” he said

“Yun Ji, thank you for taking care of my son” said a middle-aged man who came to them.

“Hail family head Yun Chao” said Uncle Ji while bowing his body.

“Thank God you are okay, treat your injured body immediately and meet me in the living room” continued Yun Chao.

Yun Chao looked towards Shen Long “What's your name young man?”

“My name is Shen Long tuan” said Shen Long while bowing his body.

“Alright, I leave it to Yun Ji to arrange you here” Yun Chao said as he left them.

“Thank you tuan” said Shen Long who was still bowing his body.

Princess Yun Mei glanced at Shen Long looking at his handsome face but looking dirty from dust and dirt, then followed her father's departure.

“Shen Long” murmured in the heart

“Let's clean your body Shen” said Uncle Ji took her to his place of residence.

After he finished cleaning himself, Shen Long was given the task by uncle Ji to arrange and take care of the horses belonging to the Yun family. Then after that Uncle Ji immediately headed to the living room to meet Yun Chao who was already waiting for him.

“Who do you think did the attack Ji?” ask Yun Chao.

“Seeing from their sword techniques, I guess they are from the spirit releasing sect master” Yun Ji said.

“Sekte Soul Release?” Yun Chao was stunned to hear that.

Yun Chao was the descendant of a famous physician in medicine. His father Yun Guo was an emperor physician who was given the title of royal physician by King Liu. Yun Chao's medicinal science was also not inferior to his father, at a young age he had broken through the cultivation of the dark blue master realm in martial arts and medicine. Now he had been at the master-level Spirit realm as a talented healer and had simultaneously become an alchemist with a tier 3.

Many enemies were envious and vengeful to the Yun family for its fame and eager to defeat them including one of them was the Spirit Releasing Sect.

“You must increase your cultivation Ji. The enemy that is targeting our family is not small.” Yun Chao said as he sipped his tea.

“I'm less talented sir. I promise I will increase my cultivation back to penetrate into the spirit” realm Yun Ji said as he clenched his hands forward.

Yun Ji was a distant relative of the Yun family who since childhood had been invited and trained by Yun Guo in martial arts, but unfortunately his talent was less than Yun Chao, thus far behind him.

“Good. What about the kid? Have you set it up?” ask Yun Chao.

“Already sir. I told him to take care of the horses of our family” Yun Ji said.

“Good. You said he had helped on the run today. Tell me what happened?” ask Yun Chao.

Yun Ji then told Yun Chao about the attack earlier this afternoon briefly.

“Heart grass? How could the child know of such medicinal ingredients?” yun Chao said.

“That's why I brought him here sir. As well as my gratitude for his help” said Yun Ji.

“Sister, is there really a robber who attacked my bangs on the road?” suddenly a voice came approaching them

Yun Ji felt a little displeased by this person's arrival yet he did not dare to show it.

“Yun Li, who told you?” yun Chao asked seeing the arrival of his younger brother.

“I heard it myself from the mouth of my bangs Yun Mei as they talked to my children” Yun Li said approaching them.

“Ah, sit down first Yun Li” continued Yun Chao while holding his long beard.

“Ji, bring the young man here. I want to ask her” Yun Chao said.

“Alright tuan” Yun Ji said as he passed from them.

“Youth? Who is that young man kak?” asked Yun Li.

Yun Chao then retold what Yun Ji had told him about the incident that afternoon to his sister.

“Damn it, how dare the Spirit Release Sect attack us” Yun Li said furiously.

“Pacify yourself Li, father is still in the capital. We wait for father to discuss this matter” Yun Chao said.
