CHAPTER 426 | Longhan city magic formation
NiKhian is a Hsien woman who is quite beautiful, but looks more friendly than her sister AnKhian who is beautiful but cold. That was why KoKhian asked him to drive Shen Long around Longhan city.
Shen Long also stuffed Qiongqi into his storage ring in order not to look conspicuous as they strolled around Longhan city.
“Mr Shen, our city rarely comes into contact with the outside world. We have a world of its own in this city.” NiKhian explained to Shen Long.
Shen Long listened to NiKhian's explanation of the city and the Hsien people who inhabited Longhan. Then NiKhian took Shen Long past a place that looked like a temple at the end of the city and saw many residents of the city who crowded into the place.
“Nona NiKhian, is this a temple?” shen Long asked him.
“Ah true sir. In Longhan city we only have one temple.” NiKhian sahut short while continuing the journey through the temple.
Shen Long felt the people entering the temple looking at him with slightly strange gazes. Yet Shen Long chose to ignore it and followed NiKhian back.
After touring, NiKhian then took Shen Long back and visited him with typical Longhan food at their residence.
“Please enjoy it Mr. Shen.” said KoKhian who also dined with his two children and Shen Long.
They also began to enjoy the typical food Longhan city that looks like ordinary food of the human world, but the taste is slightly different.
“Master KoKhian, I might just stay a day in this city. After dining, we will find a place to stay for a while in this city.” Shen Long said.
“Mr Shen, our house has many empty rooms. You can stay at our place if you like.” KoKhian said later.
“Thank you sir. But we don't want to trouble you guys.” Shen Long said politely.
Hearing that, KoKhian no longer forced Shen Long to stay in his place. So after finishing their meal, Shen Long was then escorted to an inn in Longhan city by NiKhian.
Inside the inn, Shen Long was trying to meditate to circulate the energy in his body. But he was surprised to feel that there was something strange about his strength. He felt he could not exert his strength.
“What has happened? Why is my power gone and I cannot exert it?” inner Shen Long
After repeatedly trying, yet Shen Long still could not exert his strength. He felt that something was wrong with Longhan's city.
That night Shen Long could not sleep well at the thought of his strength. He lay in bed closed his eyes but could not fall asleep.
Suddenly he felt a wind coming through the window which then closed back up.
Shen Long pretended to be asleep after learning that there were footsteps approaching him. The figure then stood beside the bed and watched him.
Then the figure approached him and his breathing felt so close to him that it made Shen Long suddenly open his eyes. “AnKhian?”
AnKhian covered Shen Long's mouth with his hand. “Sst, don't shout! I came to ask you to leave this city immediately!”
AnKhian's cold face was clearly visible in front of Shen Long whose eyes were still glaring as his mouth was covered by AnKhian's hands. Then slowly AnKhian opened his hand after he sensed Shen Long had calmed down enough.
“Nona AnKhian, please explain to me. What happened?” shen Long said.
“Sorry, I can't explain it. You better get out of this city before anything happens to you.” said AnKhian who then stood about to leave Shen Long's room.
That night Shen Long became increasingly confused by AnKhian's words to her. The woman looked cold from the very beginning seeing Shen Long's arrival. But he still tried to show his smile even though it was forced.
“Do I have to follow his advice?” shen Long muttered in his heart.
Shen Long then sat down cross-legged about to ask the God of Light about Longhan city.
“Light God, what do you know about Longhan city?” shen Long asked the God of Light in his mind.
After a while finally the God of Light came and answered Shen Long's question.
“Kota Longhan is a city of the occult people of this Loka called the nation of Hsien.” said the God of Light.
“I already know that. Why can't I muster my strength here?” shen Long asked.
“Because Longhan city is a magic city, which is inside a magic formation capable of dampening the power of the universe. Humans even gods will not be able to exert their strength inside the magic formation.” continued the God of Light.
Shen Long sighed after listening to the Light God's words to her. “Ah, so like that.” Shen Long said later.
“You'd better get out of this city Shen. The longer you are there, the greater your power will be absorbed by the power of the magic formation.” continued the God of Light.
“What? So this magic formation muffled and absorbed my power?” Shen Long looked surprised when he realized that.
Shen Long immediately got up from his seat and was about to leave this city. He felt regret coming to Longhan city which turned out to absorb the power of his own. He who had gone to great lengths to gather and absorb the power of the universe, would certainly not be able to see if this Longhan city magic formation absorbed its power.
When Shen Long went out from inside his room, he saw the townspeople and Khian's grandmother standing at the door of his room.
“Ah, Khian granny. What's wrong with meeting me?” shen Long asked innocently.
“Master Shen is going where?” ask Khian's grandmother suspiciously.
Shen Long looked at the faces of Grandmother Khian and the townspeople standing in front of her a little different from during the day. Their faces now looked dark and sinister.
“I was about to find food because I felt a little hungry.” Shen Long told a lie.
“You do not need to leave the room if you want to get food, you can wait for us to deliver food for you.” said grandma Khian.
It was then that Shen Long realized that he had been taken prisoner in that room. He now understood what the God of Light and Ankhian had been warning about before.
“No need to bother grandma, I will only go to the place to eat at this inn.” Shen Long said later.
But some of the townspeople were seen to have approached him with strange eyes like the gazes of the people in the temple.
“Master, you don't need to get out of the room. Let us deliver food to you.” Grandma Khian looks pushy to him.
Shen Long did not like such coercion. He had tried to be polite, but the three townspeople had now taken hold of his body.
