The Pledge of the Ingkar

The Pledge of the Ingkar
IYI 57'S

Time moves so fast. William and Zoya have been living the household ark for several months. Zoya and William's relationship is improving. Ever since the day William dropped out of his wheelchair, Zoya has been more friendly to him. The girl seemed to have forgotten about their previous problem where William did not allow her to communicate with Damar.

Zoya further points out that she is a good wife to William. Likewise with William who has treated Zoya like his wife, not his maid. The man has begun to accept their marriage and live it with sincerity. There is no more hatred for Zoya that she initially thought would be a burden in her life and a destroyer of her happiness.

Not only are you being nice to each other, William and Zoya now even spend time together chatting and joking. Both of them seemed to really live a normal household life without coercion.

Now, William can stand and move his legs even though still supported by a stick. At least now he does not need to rely on a wheelchair anymore even though he has not fully healed. Zoya actually helps William well and this unknowingly makes William dependent on the girl. Just like this morning ....

With the help of a cane William walked towards to the walk-in-closet and took out a set of clothes that he would wear today. Because almost every day spent at home, William chose to take casual clothes such as cloth pants and polo shirts. After picking up her clothes, she returned to the room and placed her clothes on the bed.

“Zoya, please help me wear clothes,” William said.

Zoya, who just came out of the bathroom, nods and helps William to put on his clothes. Unlike William who is always aroused every time touched by Zoya, the girl actually looks relaxed wearing William clothes.

“Mas, after this I permission to market. What do you want to eat this lunch?” ask Zoya.

William poked his shoulder. “Anything I don't matter,” the answer is relaxed. “Oh, yes. Today, Mom and Dad came. Said Mama wants to cook with you.”

“Really?” ask Zoya with sparkling eyes.

William nodded. “Iya. Said Mama wanted to be like another Mama-in-law who got along with her daughter-in-law,” replied William.

Zoya laughed at hearing that. The girl shook her head, not thinking about her mother-in-law.

“So, should I buy meat, chicken, or fish?” ask Zoya.

“Pay or meat only. I don't want to eat seafood,” replied William.

Zoya nodded. “Alright then,” he said.

After changing clothes, Zoya and William go to the dining room to have breakfast together. As usual William will go to his study after breakfast while Zoya goes to the market to buy groceries.

Exactly ten o'clock, five of William's parents came to visit. Wulan and Ryan visit Zoya and William at least once a month on Sundays. Usually they will accompany William therapy to see their child's therapeutic development.

“Welcome, Papa, Mama,” greet Zoya as soon as open the door of William's house.

Ryan and Wulan are about to greet Zoya back but undo their intentions when they see a man standing next to Zoya with the help of a stick. They were surprised to see William finally able to stand up because the last time they visited William was still in a wheelchair.

“Liam, you can already stand?” ask Wulan. The woman smiled and hugged William. Fortunately, Zoya held William's hand so that William did not fall because he got a sudden hug from his mother.

Wulan chuckled then let go of her embrace. “Mama is too happy, Liam. Mama did not expect that you could finally stand up again,” reply Wulan full haru.

Wulan turned her head towards Zoya, then hugged the girl tightly. Zoya looked at William in confusion while William only smiled faintly while twitching his shoulders.

“Zoya, thank you for accompanying Liam,” said Wulan.

“Mama, none of this has anything to do with me. Liam can stand like now because Liam has a great spirit to be healed,” Zoya replied while scratching her nape that does not itch.

Ryan patted William on the shoulder with pride. “Papa is proud that you can finally stand up again, Liam,”, he said, to which William replied with a smile.

“How about we go in and chat inside? Not good to see neighbors,” as good as William.

Wulan let go of her embrace at Zoya, then turned her head quickly towards William. “What neighbors do you mean? Your house alone is closed by a high fence and the distance between one house with another house here is quite far,” grumbled Wulan.

Hearing that, Zoya, William, and Ryan laughed.  They then went to the family room. Wulan and Ryan looked very happy to see their son finally able to stand back up after months of just sitting in a wheelchair. They are even more grateful that they married Zoya to William because they believe Zoya is the girl who has made William have the spirit to return to continue his life.

While William and Ryan chat in the living room, Wulan and Zoya are busy struggling with kitchen utensils. The two of them compactly cooked lunch for the four of them. Happiness clearly emanated from Wulan's face saw William and Zoya's relationship improving.

“Zoya, does Liam still often treat you harshly?” ask Wulan.

Zoya shakes. “No, Ma. Mas Liam has now changed and he is being very kind to me,” replied the girl.

“Mama was happy to hear it,” said Wulan.

“By the way, do we want to cook what this village chicken is?” ask Zoya. The girl was not used to cooking the chicken because of its rather difficult cooking.

“We will make chicken gulai Liam's favorite village. Your husband will definitely eat voraciously if made that food,” said Wulan.

“Ah, so this is Mas Liam's favorite food?” ask Zoya.

“Unfortunately Liam never told you?” ask Wulan.

Zoya shakes. “Mas Liam rarely requests food, Ma. She always eats whatever I cook for us,” Zoya replied.

After lunch was ready, they all gathered in the dining room to eat lunch together. Wulan and Ryan praise Zoya for helping William heal. William also chimed in with praise of Zoya to make his parents think that William already had feelings for Zoya.

“Mama was happy to see a harmonious couple like the two of you,” Wulan chirped suddenly, making William choke on hearing that.
