William kept himself busy in his work. No one can disturb him in a condition that is so concentrated in solving problems, except the thought of Zoya who just wants to go home because she wants to meet Damar.
"Dam."
William cussed between his breaths and called his assistant. As soon as his assistant arrived, the man immediately gave him an order.
"Please bring me all the documents on this matter, as soon as possible. I'll check it again to make sure there's no mistake" William said coldly.
His assistant seemed hesitant. "But, Mr ...."
"What's wrong?"
"I don't think you need to double-check it because it's going to take more time, what if I ask the audit division to summarize it?" assistant proposed.
William tapped his finger on the table. "How long will they finish it all?"
"Possibly this afternoon, sir. There's some other work they have to finish today."
William shakes. "Too long, just bring all the documents here. If it's too hard for you, ask someone else for help."
His assistant obeyed William's orders as soon as his proposal was rejected. He does not know that the reason behind the re-examination of the related documents is only so that William can turn his mind about Zoya.
With a lot of work, there will be less opportunity for William to drown in his jealousy. Seeing Zoya who can chat and laugh freely with other men makes her heart feel hot, especially because the man is Damar.
William can guess that Damar will not give up on his feelings for Zoya after all this time, because he also experienced the same thing when it comes to Renata. He could understand, but still, William did not like the persistence of others who were closely related to someone who was directly related to him.
After all, Zoya is already part of his family even though William does not want to admit it.
"Is he not content to have only one man in his life? Huh!"
William thought about how compatible Zoya and Damar both have gentle and kind natures. Hearing Leila's story, the shadows regarding the two figures together grew clearer in his mind, like a drop of black ink spreading across the white paint.
William's mind inevitably remained centered there, then began to branch out toward other things that were not far from Zoya's relationship with Damar.
William clenched his hand tightly. Had Renata been here ....
William did not finish his heart about Renata. It had been close to two knowing the woman had disappeared, so the possibility of meeting with Renata at this moment was impossible.
The sound of knocking on the door rang out, breaking William's daydream quickly, as well as another voice that followed.
"Excuse me, Sir. Me and my friend from the audit division came to deliver the documents you requested."
William let them in. "Just open the door."
"Good."
William stood up from his seat as soon as he saw two employees enter his office carrying each one of the boxes left open. Once he saw, the man realized that the contents in it were more than previously thought, even exceeding William's work capacity because it piled up to get out of the box.
His own assistant looked tired because he was carrying the same large-sized box, but only contained half of it.
William did not show any expression and approached towards the row of dus that had just been placed on the table. Thinking of how he could start a job that came from his own initiative went effectively for today, but without neglecting his daily duties.
"This is all?" ask William while checking the sheet of paper inside.
"Already, sir."
William nodded, but did not look at the three people still waiting in his office. He had already focused on the pile of documents that would be immediately re-examined and saw the completeness even if only at a glance, decided to start checking in accordance with the order of dates listed in the document despite having to sort them again.
"good job. You can go back to work now."

"You're beautiful, honey," said one man to his only daughter.
The woman smiled, delighted at the praise her father gave her all of a sudden. "thank you. Did I deserve to come to William's office? It's been a long time since I've been there."
"of course. There's no way you look inappropriate in your own clothes. You're my father's daughter, Renata."
Stepmother Renata nodded, supporting Pendy. "What your father said is true. You don't have to ask me about anything like that anymore."
Renata's smile still lingered for a while, then began to fade. The look on his face reflected in the mirror clearly expressed a feeling of doubt within him since yesterday.
"Is it okay if I come straight to William's office?"
Renata's stepmother immediately snatched the question. "Of course it's okay. You're going to come there because you want to take back your rights as William's fiancee."
"That's right. William would love to see you back."
The two endlessly gave various excuses that could make Renata not hesitate in his decision to approach William again. After all, it was very important to both of them, especially since Renata himself said that he needed William for his survival.
"The decision remains in your hands, dear. No need to rush."
Renata was silent for quite a while as soon as she heard the words of her stepmother–Dila. Dila and Pendi nodded so that the woman could think about it calmly. After a while, he finally made his choice.
"I'm still going to see William, it's his birthday. I'll give her a surprise."
His family seemed happy, and so did Renata. The woman had already decided to immediately meet William and use various means to get the man's heart back, only for him without the presence of another woman in their lives.
At the instigation of his family and other interests, Renata also took the decision that was too bold because he wanted to free the man he still needed so much from the bond of forced marriage. He believed that in the corner of the man's heart, William must still love him, just as the woman felt until now.
"Wait for me, William. I'll come see you soon" Renata said.
After turning on the car and setting up coordinates for William's office, Renata recalls his time with the man before they were separated by an accident. Beautiful times like yesterday, but also difficult to achieve without William at his side.
Renata and William always provide time together on the sidelines of busyness. Be it by coming to each other's homes, cooking and enjoying television shows and sharing warmth with each other, as well as dating outside and to various places they want to visit, try out the various facilities and food available.
Renata wondered if William still remembered their happy times because the woman still remembered him well. He would be sad if William forgot about it, but the woman also would not give up easily to remake existing memories so that they become new memories.
Renata smiled as soon as she arrived in front of William's office building and stepped inside. Some of the employees who recognized Renata were seen staring at the woman for quite a while, as if they did not believe in the miracle before their eyes.
"I ... didn't see it wrong, did I?" ask someone to rub their eyes a few times.
The friend next to the employee shook his head, looking stunned by the presence of Renata walking past them. "I also saw him, Mr. William's former fiancee ... Renata."
The reaction of the other employees who saw Renata's arrival was not much different from the two men. Most of the employees were in an uproar by the presence of a figure that had long been invisible to them, but was known by everyone once present among them.
No one dared to forbid Renata to be there even though he knew that William was married, because everyone remembered how William loved Renata so much.
"I went in, yes" Renata told William's assistant who could only nod.
Renata smiled sweetly before entering William's room without knocking first. That made William upset.
"What—"
William froze in the middle of his torrent of annoyance. The cause was none other than Renata, who looked like a sweet and irreplaceable memory, who suddenly appeared in her study.
