The Pledge of the Ingkar
IYI 58'S

The girl swiftly poured mineral water into the glass and gave the glass to the husband who was choking on his food. To be honest, not only was William surprised by Wulan's words, but Zoya was also shocked. Fortunately Zoya is not chewing her food so Zoya does not experience what happened to William.

After gulping down his drink and neutralizing his throat, William turned to his mother with an annoyed look. Wulan's words that like to slide from his lips as good as the heart sometimes indeed quite irritated William. How could Wulan think that Zoya and William were a harmonious couple if the woman had just this time seen William being nice to Zoya. Really not rational.

“You eat it slowly, Mas,” said Zoya, advising William.

William looked towards her then nodded. “Iya, Zoya,” she replied with a smile.

Wulan and Ryan looked at each other. Just this time they saw William being so gentle to Zoya. During this time William was always cranky if he had to interact with Zoya. Never mind interacting, if Wulan and Ryan talk about Zoya, William used to always be angry and emotional. Now things seemed to turn one hundred and eighty degrees. Wulan and Ryan are convinced that William has begun to like their chosen girl, Zoya.

“Today you will do therapy at what time, Liam?” ask Ryan.

“Today I have no therapy schedule, Pa. Because now I can move my feet even though I still wear a cane, my therapeutic schedule is now not every day, but every other day. The doctor said that if I move often and walk around it is the same as doing therapy,” explained William.

“Good it. That means you have more and more time to be alone with your wife, ” Ryan said, making William and Zoya's cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Wulan chuckles. “Already, Pa, don't tease the newlyweds. After lunch we should go home and give time to them alone today,” he said.

“Why rush once, Ma?” zoya asked, shaking her head.

“Ah, we are not in a hurry. We just don't want to disturb the time of the two of you,” explained Wulan.

Zoya smiled faintly. He does not know where the thought came from when it is clear that Zoya rarely has busy activities other than taking care of homework and accompanying William.

“I and Mas Liam ti—”

“Already, Zoya. Let it go if Mama and Papa really want to go home. Don't force them to linger here if they don't want to,” William chimed in while holding Zoya's hand on the table.

Zoya scrunched her forehead. Why did he now think that William subtly expelled his parents?

Sure enough, after lunch, Ryan and Wulan said goodbye. They both come home with happy hearts because they believe that William is starting to have feelings for Zoya. Wulan also told Leila about it. Leila who from the beginning felt guilty for giving a crazy idea to William can now breathe a sigh of relief because William can already treat Zoya well as a husband. Indeed, Leila would feel very guilty if William never be kind to Zoya and continue to torture Zoya subtly.

On the other hand, after William's parents leave, Zoya gets a phone call from Desi. Having not met Desi for a long time, Zoya enthusiastically answered the call.

“Halo, Aunt Desi,” greet Zoya. “How's Auntie?” ask the girl.

“Bibi good news, Zoya. What about you and William? Has your relationship improved now?” ask Desi. As anyone who understands that William and Zoya did not originally want the marriage, Desi wants to know if Zoya and William are now happy or not.

“My news is very good, Aunty. Mas Liam and I have now started to accept the reality of having this marriage even though we are still in the adaptation stage,” Zoya replied as it is.

“Liam be nice to you, ‘kan, Zoya? Mean Aunt ... Liam didn't hurt you, did he?” ask Desi to worry.

“No, Aunty. We are fine,” Zoya replied.

Zoya and Desi chat for quite a while joking, making William who turns out to be observing Zoya from a distance curious about who Zoya is talking to on the phone.

“Auntie, I closed the call first. Later we chat again,” Zoya said when she realized that William was watching her.

After turning off the phone, Zoya approaches William because she thinks that William may need her help to do something about it.

“Since when are you here, Mas? Do you need help doing something?” ask Zoya.

“Nothing.” William shakes. “Who did you call earlier?”

“Ah, I just called with Aunt Desi,” Zoya replied. “Oh yes, Mas. I want permission to see Aunt Desi. I haven't seen Aunt Desi in a long time. I miss my aunt and my gallery. Uci said my gallery is crowded and I want to check it.”

William frowned but said nothing. He just found out that Zoya has a gallery. William would love to visit Zoya's gallery. But he is proud to say it.

“The plan is that I will stay at Aunt Desi's house three days,” Zoya said innocently.

Hearing this, William suddenly looked at Zoya with a sewot look. “Cannot,” answer ketus.

“Why can't you, Mas? I just want to meet Auntie because I miss her,” Zoya protests. He was saddened to not be allowed to stay at his old house.

“You can go there for a while. No need to stay let alone during that,” replied William in a ketus tone. The man narrowed his eyes, again suspicious that Zoya would secretly meet Damar. Somehow William felt very rivaled by Damar even though they had never met.

“But, Mas ...”

“No but-but. You definitely want to have an affair and meet that guy, ‘kan?” tuding William's.

Hearing William's accusation, Zoya is upset. They also argue. William is busy accusing Zoya of having an affair while Zoya is busy defending herself as she does not have the slightest intention of playing with fire behind William.

“Your attitude is really like a real husband,” sneer Zoya while ruffled waist.

“Isn't our wedding real?” reply William, angry.

“Have you started loving me, Mas?” zoya urged, making William close his lips tightly. “You better occupy yourself by looking for Renata than take care of me,”.

“I haven't thought about Renata for a long time or found out about Renata,” William replied, creating silence in the next second.
