The Pledge of the Ingkar
IYI 64'S

“Aibi, I will take Mas Liam to the beach,” Zoya told Desi who was relaxing while feeding the fish in the aquarium.

Desi turned towards Zoya and William who already looked ready to leave. “Have you guys brought stock?” ask Desi.

“No need, Aunty. Later you can just buy it there,” replied Zoya. “Will Aunty come?”

“Ah, no. Y'all have fun. Couples who have just married should spend more time together so that they can be more harmonious,” said Desi with a big smile. The middle-aged woman was already impatient to tell Wulan and Ryan about this. They will surely be happy to hear the news about how Zoya and William messaged today.

“Aibi!” reprimand Zoya while smiling shyly.

William chuckles. “Then we go first, Aunty,” says.

“Be careful on the road,” order Desi.

Zoya and William nodded then stepped their feet out of the house. Outside, the driver was waiting for them. From Zoya's house to the beach actually does not need to travel a distance too far. Usually Zoya is also always on foot if you want to go to the beach. But given the condition of William who still needs the help of a cane to walk, Zoya finally chose to take William to ride the car only.

During the trip, as usual Zoya looks restless. Though William had told his driver to drive their car slowly, but Zoya still felt scared.

“Zoya, relax. I'm here, I'll protect you,” William said as he squeezed Zoya's hand, trying to strengthen the girl.

Zoya turned towards William. “I'm afraid, Mas,” he said.

“There's nothing you need to fear. As long as we don't speed then everything will be fine,” William said with a big smile, trying to calm Zoya's heart. “Now you take a deep breath and think positive things,” William said.

Zoya did according to William's orders. The girl took a deep breath, then took it out of her mouth while closing her eyes to calm her mind. His hand held William's hand tightly, as if afraid that something bad would come if he let go of William's hand.

Less than ten minutes away, they finally arrived at the beach. Given William's condition that must be helped by a stick to walk, it is impossible if they walk along the beach. Zoya decides to open the hood of William's rear car, then arrange and roll out a clean mat for them to sit on.

“Are you thirsty, Mas?” ask Zoya.

William poked his shoulder. “Lumayan,” he replied after successfully ascending to the rear pedestal of the car.

“I'll buy a drink first for us. You wait here first, yeah?” Zoya.

After getting a nod of the head from William, Zoya steps her feet towards the seller's place not too far from the beach location. There are a variety of foods sold ranging from various processed marine animals, to cakes and juices. Zoya goes to one of the young coconut sellers and buys it. Not only young coconut, he also bought some snacks to eat with William.

“You bought a lot, Zoya,” said William, hastily helping Zoya to put young coconut and snacks in the car.

“I bought a snack so we don't starve,” slurried Zoya then sat down next to William.

“The beach here is beautiful once, ‘kan, Mas? I used to go here almost every day to clear my mind,” said Zoya, trying to introduce her neighborhood to William.

William chuckles at Zoya's words. “I know, Zoya. I often go to this city to review projects,” reply William.

“Really?” ask Zoya with sparkling eyes.

“Iya. Look at that resort.” William pointed towards the inn not too far from the beach. “Resort it is one of the results of my project with clients,” he explained.

Zoya gasps. He wanted to be astonished but given how successful William was, he immediately trusted the man. After all, the distance from the city center to Zoya's residence was only three hours. The distance is not so far and can be reached by driving a private vehicle.

“Why haven't we met before?” ask Zoya.

“Indeed if we had met before you would fall in love faster with me?” William asked back.

Zoya chokes on her drink when she hears William's question. “You can't be so confident, Mas!” he said that he was reciprocated with a crisp laugh William.

“Excuse me, Brother. This is maize grilled order sister,” said a small child who helped his parents sell on the beach.

“Ah, thank you,” said Zoya while receiving the grilled corn. Zoya shares the grilled corn for her, William, and Mr. Driver, who choose to wait for them at a dock not far from the car while chatting with people who are fishing.

While busy chatting and enjoying the atmosphere of the beach, from a distance a man saw Zoya and William. The man then decided to approach the two of them to greet the girl he had not seen for a long time.

“Hai, Zoya,” map.

Zoya and William turned their heads when they heard the greeting. William's smile disappeared instantly as he looked at who had greeted Zoya. That man is Damar. Damar the owner of the gym was jogging along the beach when he accidentally saw Zoya. Whether intentional or not, the man greeted Zoya.

“Hai, introduce me is William, Zoya's husband,” William's seobot when Zoya wants to say hello back to Damar. William stretched out his hand to shake Damar's hand. Her heart heats up every time she thinks about how Zoya used to love the man.

“Oh, it turns out you're the one.” Damar smiled faintly, replying to William's hand. They shook hands for a moment.

Damar who still has feelings for Zoya is honestly not ready to meet the man who has taken Zoya from her. His heart ached every time he remembered that he had no chance to be with the girl. If I'm honest, Damar would love to kidnap Zoya and take her away to a place no one knows about. As long as Zoya is with him, it's his. But Damar knew he couldn't be selfish.

With a heavy heart the man tried to act ordinary in front of Zoya and William. He has to show them that he can be happy despite not having Zoya.

While William who did not like the arrival of Damar pointed to his possessive attitude. The man even pulled Zoya to get closer to him and embrace Zoya tightly, making Damar and Zoya look at him with a puzzled look.
