Chapters 106. Assault (2)
The boy who did not look like a man, walked with a bent body. He quickly approached Max. The soldiers who were ordered to retreat, instead approached forward to protect Max.
"I said back off!" Shouted Max who had prepared with his sword.
"Armghhhhhhhhh!!!" the boy's voice shrieked creepily.
The boy was about to pounce on Max, quickly Max slashing his neck. His head rolled down with blood.
SRAT!!
The soldiers were confused to see the boy's head still twitching even his eyes were still spinning. Even his mouth was still making a sound, despite being separated from his body.
The feathers of the soldiers stood looking at him. They had never seen such a creature. But Max was not at all afraid of the creature, his face remained calm when faced with danger before his eyes.
Kyle notices Max, who argues in his heart that Max deserves to be king more than anyone else in Istvan's kingdom.
"Eugene, kerosene!" Max tells Eugene.
"Good noble," said Eugene obediently.
That top-level knight took kerosene and matches. He handed both of those things to Max. Max quickly burned the boy's body and head.
He could have used fire magic, but he didn't use it for energy-saving reasons. His strength was only for extremely emergency situations, even for teleportation powers as well.

The boy was burned at the same time. Max cleaned the blood splashed onto his face with a handkerchief.
"Damn! How could he be here?" Max muttered while looking at the new and burnt corpse charred by it.
"Your majesty, what is this creature?" Asked Kyle who could not control his curiosity.
"We're looking for a safe place first, just talking." Max said with his flat face.
The aura and charisma of that man indeed could not be doubted. On the battlefield he became a monster that did not fear death, he was always serious if he was in battle. In front of Liliana, she was like a big, docile cat.
Max and the soldiers rest in a luxurious, uninhabited mansion. There they rest first.
"What noble thing do they have?" Eugene asked Max.
"Right, judging by its features it seems so." Max took a bottle and gulped down the drink.
"I think it's just a myth" Eugene murmured with a sigh of disbelief.
"They seem to be a mythical nation, a demon that sucks human blood to multiply its offspring. Once they bite a human, it will either die or become a demon." Obviously Max.
The soldiers were astonished to hear it, they did not believe that the demon nation that only exists in myths and is always told their ancestors actually existed.
Those who usually fight with humans, currently they have to face creatures that are not humans.
When Max was explaining about the demon race, suddenly something pulled the foot of a soldier.
"Gurghhhhhhhhh!"
"My feet!" The soldier panicked as he sensed a sharp tooth biting his leg.
Some of the soldiers there tried to help their friend, but the grip of someone underground was too strong. Max intervened and helped the soldier.
His hand let out a fire and burned the demon's hand. How surprised Max and all the soldiers there, when the light from the fire showed a large hole in the underground filled with demonic creatures trying to crawl up.
"God! Your Majesty, look at them!" A soldier panicked.
"Damn! They must be all villagers who have become demons! Everybody back!" Shouted Istvan's royal crown prince to all the soldiers.
The soldiers trained to kill humans on the battlefield, they have not been trained to kill demons. There are, they're all gonna die.
The soldiers obey Max's orders, they walk backwards, because they don't know how to deal with this demon nation.
Only Eugene and Max, who had been trained for a long time on the battlefield, knew how to kill the demon race. Max uses his fire power to make the demon demon burn.
"MUHHH!"
While Max and Eugene are busy facing the danger ahead, Kyle keeps quiet and focuses on Eugene. He was looking for the right time to kill her.
Though all the soldiers were busy helping Max and Eugene as they could, Kyle relaxed behind him avoiding danger. He doesn't care about other knights.
It's dull. I need to find a way to kill siren Eugene, then get home from here.
"Head digger! Then burn! Hurry along!" Eugene shouted at the other soldiers.
"We must not allow his head to connect to the body, and do not get bitten!" Said Max while slashing the necks of the humans who had become demons. They went up from the hole to the surface.
