The Two Empresses
Final Steps

"Resonance...through tendrils?" ask Julian curiously. Jegudiel.

"Make sure there is a tip of tendrils attached to the ground Avant Heim," replied Jegudiel. "Some let Avant Heim take care of it."

"Wow, what an interesting system. You choose a ruler based on a match with Avant Heim" Phillip murmured.

"Because not all gods can control Avant Heim, not even Oorun" said Jegudiel.

"Damn, did he hear?"

"Your voice is quite loud, Marquess Arlestine," said Jegudiel casually. Julian placed the tip of the tendril he held on the ground he was peeling and stared at the men who were putting up invisible walls, making Ilmol a little uncomfortable.

"Marquess, you go home. I think your job here is done" Julian said.

"I know so too, but after making such a big lightning bolt I ran out of mana" Phillip replied as he scratched the back of his head.

"Let me help you" said Ilmol as he advanced and gave a smile. He directed his energy at Phillip and teleported it away.

"Well, witches are good? Can move places that fast," praised Jegudiel, half insinuating.

"...you have a problem with witches?" ask Ilmol coldly.

"No, no. I'm just kidding, don't take it for heart" said Jegudiel quickly, his face beginning to look terrified. Julian did not bother and circulated the view on some of the flugel that still persisted in the crystal.

"They won't come out even if you stare at them intensely, Julian," said Jegudiel.

"Yes, I know. Oh yeah, we better get the job done here and go back home, "Julian replied.

"Going home? The war's not over, man. Are you sure you can be that relaxed?"

"Okay, I don't know either. I miss my queen anyway, she must be lonely" he replied.

"Deed the queen cares about you?" seloroh Ilmol's. Julian grinned and turned to Ilmol.

"Don't do it, dong. You should have supported me, not knocked me down" Julian said. Ilmol sighed and patted his shoulder.

"Free, Julian. Forget about the queen, she was already there who was more suitable for her. Let's get it done and we go home."

...****************...

Saciel was in the midst of the hassles of taking care of the documents and soldiers when they returned. Phillip intervened to greet them with a tired face that he could not cover.

"Hello, sorry to keep you waiting. At the moment His Majesty is being undisturbed, so you can relay the report to me," he said. Julian and Ilmol just looked at each other.

"I think it would be better if Your Majesty heard it right away, but since it is still in such a chaotic situation this is fine. So..."

"Ah, are you back?" greet Saciel as she walked over and gave a smile. They immediately saluted him."How's Avant Heim?"

"Their condition is quite stable, Your Majesty. They are currently busy looking for a replacement for Ex Machina to defend the country" Ilmol reported. Saciel nodded.

"Thank you for your hard work. Rest," he said.

"What about His Majesty? You look pale and exhausted" asked Julian. Saciel touched his face and laughed a little.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. Go home and rest, you're Phillip, too" he said.

"I can't possibly leave you, Your Majesty. At least until your work is done" Phillip refused.

"I appreciate your intentions, Julian. But you've spent a lot of energy in Avant Heim. How could I have told you to work so hard until you died of exhaustion?"

"Usually the girl I know likes to bully people like me" he said. Saciel laughed.

"...well, you can help. Come here" he said as he walked into the room and showed off a pile of food that was still a mess.

"You sort this out and help the soldiers to move it to different areas affected by the Vatra terror and its cronies. Can you?"

"Anything I can do for His Majesty," he said arrogantly. Saciel nodded and left the man just like that. His smile disappeared immediately.

"Ah, again. Well, nevermind. I have to finish this place and rest, '" he whispered.

Saciel walked quickly away from the palace and stood in the middle of the garden with Lao who had waited for quite a long time under the scorching sun.

"I'm sorry I'm late" he said softly.

"It's okay, Your Honor. Are you sure you don't want to take a break? Your face is pale once," Lao replied anxiously. Saciel shook his head.

"No, I'm fine. We don't have much time, Lao. Did you find the fucker's position?"

"Yes, Your Majesty. Hold my hand, we'll meet him" Lao said. Saciel clasped his hands as tightly as possible and the two disappeared in an instant, then landed in a gloomy territory with dead plants and tendrils that looked like snakes. The young queen nodded.

"What the hell is this place?"

"The place where death will always be remembered, Miss Arakawa. Ah, I should have called you Your Majesty, right?" reply Vatra. They turned around and put up the horses as the mastermind walked over with a sword in his hand. A cynical smile was plastered on his face.

"Not to be so tense, boy. I have no intention of killing you now" he said. "But it looks like you guys came at an inopportune time."

"I challenge you to a duel, Vatra" Saciel said. Lao and Vatra were shocked to hear that.

"Huh? What's?! You crazy?" maki Lao, while Vatra giggled at it.

"You're asking me to duel? Has your brain been damaged by this festival?"

"I think that broken you, killing innocent people without the slightest guilt," Saciel replied coldly. Vatra played his sword calmly.

"A very interesting offer, miss. Just fighting you won't satisfy me. I think a small team will enliven this duel."

"Your opponent is enough me" he replied.

"Ah, no no. There are less players" Vatra refused. "There's still something you have to bring to challenge me."

"Don't drag anyone else into our business!"

"Don't yell at me, boy. Did you forget I could have just slashed at you mercilessly?" threatening him while standing in front of him with a sword ready to cut his neck at any moment with a cold gaze. Lao intends to advance, but Saciel makes a move to stay in place. Vatra smelled a smile.

"You're smart enough to survive, huh?" his praise.

"...i don't intend to die in vain before killing you."

"A good spirit. I'll wait for that moment, where we all end this game with our lives. I hope the game will be exciting," said Vatra kalem. Saciel only snorted, then pushed the sword away from his neck.

"Remember, Vatra. Your death will be the darkest history in Eurashia."
