The Two Empresses

The Two Empresses
The Half God, Vatra

"You're desperate," said the hooded man. Vristhi did not repress him, but continued to attack relentlessly with her undead army. Draco several times grabbed his tail to throw the hooded man away from the portal, while Dark scratched the wounds all over his body. "You sure you can beat me, Vristhi?"

"At least try first" replied Vristhi. The hooded man grinned and swung his sword fiercely until he managed to slash Draco in half. He intends to cut Dark, but is undone and kick him far away.

"You're done, necromancer boy. I'm sure you're running out of undead troops" said the hooded man in a satisfied tone. Vristhi gave a smile and took out an elegant fan. "Is your brain overheating?"

"No. This is just the key to your ultimate goal" Vristhi said kalem. Before the hooded man spoke, Vristhi opened her fan and swung it down. Slowly the pink sand darkened, then the next second turned into suction mud with a pungent aroma, a mixture between carcass and burnt meat. The hooded man retreated for a moment and realized that what he saw was not of the same dimension.

"I forgot Rosemary and Requiem are not of this world" the hooded man said.

"Who said? We are from this world, it's just that we are more familiar with death" Vristhi replied. A giant human figure in a night-dark suit and skull as a decoration on his left shoulder emerged from the suction mud. In his hand was a spear with a snake wrapped around it. "Hades."

"A cocky girl, do you have the guts to summon a god like me?" asked Hades in a loud voice.

"Well I can still call you, why not?" reply Vristhi. Hades fixed his gaze on the hooded man and his face was sour.

"Why do demigods interfere in the affairs of witches like you?" ask Hades. Vristhi widened her eyes and turned to Hades with a face of disbelief.

"A demigod man you say? Impossible," he said softly. The hooded man screeched and attached his hood so that Vristhi could see his face. A pair of eyeballs with different colors that are black and green like emeralds. Brown tan skin looks shiny, red wine-colored shoulder-length curls are tied up a little. The delicate sideburns framed his firm and sturdy jaws.

"Oh, you're Oorun's son?" chirps Hades. Vristhi paled even more, his fighting spirit began to fall. He smiled, but there was no warmth in it.

"You know what?" tanyakanya. He turned to Vristhi with a grin. "You're starting to look weak."

"I didn't know Oorun had a child" said Vristhi, trying to buy time to recover his shock.

"All gods can have children, fool. It's just that it's rare to have a demigod child" he said. "Oh yes, my name is Vatra."

"Necromancer girl, your opponent is too heavy. Although demigod, I don't think you can necessarily defeat him" whispered Hades.

"What about you?"

"Hmm, I guess the odds are only 50 percent."

"Then just attack immediately" said Vristhi as he raised his hand. The undead troops coming out of the suction mud advanced on Vatra. Do not forget Vrishi moves Dark to participate in the attack. Vatra grabbed his greatsword and started slaughtering all the undead, but only kicked Dark as far as possible. Hades raised his hand and dense smoke slowly filled the Vatra area.

"Heh, is this the smoke of death?" ask Vatra cynically. He flicked his robe and the smoke disappeared. Hades breathed a look at it.

"just free. He still had protection from Oorun. There is no loophole for us to win, let alone make him die" Hades lamented. Vristhi was silent, trying to figure out his weakness even if it was just a fingertip. Suddenly a soft clap on his shoulders shocked him.

"Need help?" cerlina asked with a friendly smile. Vristhi was aghast and shook him.

"What are you doing here stupid? You wanna die?" ask Vristhi.

"I don't want to die, but I'm here because there's something I have to tell people there" Cerlina replied as she pointed her index finger at Vatra. "We can get out of here as fast as we can."

"Oh, you're my father's subordinate huh?" asked Vatra while folding his arms. "Do you want what?"

"God Oorun told me to meet you, Mr. Vatra. He said, you will only meet your death if you are still at war with Careol."

Vatra temples are crimped. He refrained from killing Cerlina, but his body was unable to withstand the intense trembling from his overflowing emotions.

"Fuck, after dumping me just like that, he said that? I should have just killed that shameless god" Vatra murmured.

"This is a bit of anger from God Oorun. The gods will punish the heavens for those who kill innocents in the Eurashia Continent."

"That's right!" maki Vatra jumps forward to attack Cerlina. Before his sword reached Cerlina's neck, lightning struck Vatra and bound him firmly where he stood. "Khh!"

"Last warning, sir," said Cerlina carefully. "God Oorun is ready to throw the spear of death over your head."

"Heh, it turns out you're the child blessed by Oorun. Damn, why would he prefer you over me?" ask Vatra.

"...you better ask the god. I'm just his follower" Cerlina replied. "Vrishi, let's go. We have no interest in him anymore."

"What's? You let him live?" ask Vristhi garang. Cerlina looked at him sharply.

"The man's life is not in our hands, so I hope you behave better than this" Cerlina said. Vristhi groaned and relented, taking Lao's sprawled puppet with a blank look. Cerlina directed her gaze at Hades and bowed in respect. "Greetings, God of Hades."

"Oh, so you're the one who's often flattered by Oorun? I didn't think it was just a simple girl" Hades said. Cerlina just smiled and held Vristhi. He knocked on the sand with the tip of the stick and both disappeared. Hades sighed and disappeared, while Vatra remained silent on the spot as he roared and cursed God Oorun.

...****************...

"The injury was too severe, let alone this as a result of black magic," Bibi said. "Ordinary medicine can't be done."

"Don't you have any other way?" ask Vristhi gomas. Aunty was silent for a moment, then picked up a book and opened it right on the anatomy page of the body.

"Decipulating which path is exposed to black magic takes time and effort. You should fill that path with more powerful magic, in theory. But sometimes that doesn't work."

"Is there any other way?" ask Cerlina.

"To this day I still don't know. All I can do now is slow down the flow," said Bibi lirih. They dissolve in silence, between trying to find another way or getting frustrated with circumstances that go beyond their means. Phillip suddenly appeared from behind the door with a serious face.

"Lao calls you, Vristhi," he said. Vristhi rushed inside and found Lao sitting with a pale face.

"Lao?" call him while holding his hand. Lao turned his head and stroked his head gently. "How are you doing?"

"Well, better than ever. Why are you putting on that face? Not usually," Lao tease. Vristhi clasped her hands tighter and slowly tears streamed down her cheeks. "Eh? Vristhi?"

"I'm afraid of losing you, asshole. Why should I be afraid if you are.hiks," he could not continue his words and instead sobbed. Lao who was surprised by his behavior was now confused. He only stroked her head, occasionally comforting her with sweet words. After he calmed down, Lao gave a faint smile.

"It's not usually you cry for me. Usually you're just squeaky and put on a flat face with no feelings."

"I'm also curious about myself. But today's events are truly terrifying. I can't imagine what would happen if you disappeared from my life" Vristhi said. Lao patted his head and kissed the back of his hand with a mischievous look.

"Well, this turned out to be far from my expectations. Take it easy, I'm not dead today" comforted Lao. Vristhi pursed her lips and softly clenched her head. "Oh."

"Not funny" said Vristhi. "You know, our opponent is a demigod."

"Whose god?"

"Oorun," Vristhi replied coldly. Lao sighed and lay down with a pale face.

"Why is he attacking us?"
