The Two Empresses

The Two Empresses
Cerlina and the Alpha Dragon

"His Majesty called me?" cerlina asked as she saluted in front of Saciel.

"Yes, Cerlina. Called you. Accompany me to meet Oorun," Saciel replied with a lazy face.

"For what?"

"I want to take the Eye of Oorun in the Sacred Forest," Saciel replied. Cerlina was surprised to hear that.

"Sister, but the gem is very rare and difficult to mine, what do you mean Your Majesty needs it for?"

"Avant Heim is in ruin, Cerlina. I was reluctant, too, but the whole Respher was attacked and all tried their best to survive. According to Jegudiel, Mata Oorun can help them for a while until there is a replacement for Deus," said Saciel shady. Cerlina bit her lower lip and looked at Saciel.

"I won't let you go to that place" Cerlina insisted, leaving Saciel astonished to hear that.

"Why?"

"You could have died."

"I won't die until everything is settled" Saciel said.

"You don't care about me?" cerlina asked with tears on her cheeks. "You want to leave me like Papa and Mama?"

"...I'm not leaving you, Cerlina. Don't cry" persuaded Saciel.

"Then don't go! Stay here!" cerlina. His voice echoed up the corridor and a few of the servants who passed by were able to hear him. Saciel sighed and approached Cerlina, embracing her in an embrace. Cerlina's tears were flowing more and more, occasionally stuffing out of her lips.

"You know we can't back down right now, Cerlina. I have to help them, even if you try to block me in some way" Saciel whispered softly.

"If you are.dead.I cannot," said Cerlina. Saciel stroked the purple-haired girl's head affectionately, occasionally whispering words of consolation for her.

"You gotta toughen up, Cerlina. You can't lose your emotions."

"Usually.kan you.hiks, the loser.from.hiks emotions," Cerlina replied. Saciel laughed stiffly hearing that.

"You're right. Well, now remove your tears and we'll go. Philip, Lao!"

"Yes, Your Majesty?" answer both of them while paying respect.

"As long as Cerlina and I are gone, you're gonna have to keep Careol safe. Understood?"

"Okay, Your Majesty!"

"Let's go" Saciel said as she extended her hand to her twin sister. "Oh yeah, please take care of Aunt Claudia when she gets there."

"We understand" Lao replied. When Cerlina's hand was in her grasp, Saciel flicked her fingers and they moved right in front of the empty temple. Without wasting much time, they rushed towards the stairs and were shocked when the access stairs towards where Oorun had already been smashed to pieces.

"Who did it?" ask Cerlina wonder.

"...i think Oorun did it himself" Saciel said, looking up. "All the steps are broken beyond silence."

"Does God Oorun not want to see us?"

"I don't know, but for sure we won't be able to ride to see him. Hold on, "Saciel said as she hugged her twin sister tightly.

"Saciel, what do you want?" cerlina asked half in panic. Saciel just stood still and flicked his finger, followed by the presence of a broomstick flying beside him. "You don't intend to fly into the sky, do you?"

"Unfortunately I intend to fly," Saciel said as she mounted the broom with Cerlina behind her, then aimed at the sky at high speed. The one behind could only scream in fear as he prayed for protection. Having just reached the first layer, the broom they were riding on smashed into the thick, impenetrable clouds.

"ah! Shit, it turns out we can't get in" Saciel complained.

"How now?" ask Cerlina worriedly.

"You don't want us to go back. Oorun blocked all of our access" Saciel replied. They returned to land and sighed.

"If this is not the case, you will have to go to the Holy Forest without the help of Oorun" said Saciel.

"We can do it, take it easy" comforted Cerlina. Saciel nodded and flicked his fingers, moving them in front of the entrance pathway towards the Sacred Forest.

"This place is close to a human village, isn't it?" ask Cerlina.

"Ah, yes. We can stop by for a moment if you want to see it" Saciel said. Cerlina was silent for a moment and turned to Saciel.

"Yes?"

"Please promise me you'll change everything" said Cerlina, with tears in her eyes.

"I'm..."

"Your Majesty! Thank goodness you're here" said someone. The two turn and find Parvati running towards them. "Go back to the palace immediately. The messenger from Ceshier came to see you."

"Huh?! But..."

"Your Majesty, you must return" cut Parvati. Saciel was silent for a moment, worried between holding on or leaving.

"Go, I can do it myself," said Cerlina softly. Saciel was shocked and turned to his twin brother.

"Cerlina, but the place is dangerous" Saciel said. Cerlina laughed at hearing that.

"This time let me face danger, you meet Ceshier's emissary. We must not smear our faces in front of other nations" he advised. Saciel sighed and patted both of Cerlina's shoulders.

"I understand, but you went with Parvati. He'll lead you in."

"Parvati is busy" said Cerlina.

"It's okay, Miss. I can accompany you" Parvati said. Saciel gave a triumphant smile and hugged Cerlina tightly.

"Be careful, huh?" she whispered as she peeked at Cerlina and left in less than a second, leaving the two young women with quite an awkward atmosphere.

"Come, Miss Arakawa" Parvati said. The two walked into the Sacred Forest. Just a few steps in, Cerlina heard voices echoing in her head.

"Great Priest, you're finally back."

"Eh? Parvati, did you hear that?" cerlina asked as she held her ear.

"Hear what, Miss?"

"...umm, it's nothing" Cerlina replied hesitantly. They continued walking and the sound grew louder, leaving Cerlina terrified.

"Parvati, there are no ghosts here, right?"

"Eh? Of course there isn't, Miss. Why?" ask Parvati. Just about to open his mouth, a dragon swooped down and caught Cerlina, then took her away

"Favour!" cerlina Sahut. The startled Parvati immediately took out her wings and prepared to fly, but another dragon held her back by keeping her busy fighting. The dragon carrying Cerlina shot across the sky until it reached the deepest region of the Sacred Forest. Carefully put Cerlina down and leave.

"...me where am I?" ask Cerlina in frustration.

"Welcome, Great Priest," said the voice again. Cerlina tried to find the source of the sound, but all she found was a rock mountain behind her.

"Take a look," he said again. Cerlina looked up and was surprised to see that the thing she thought was a rock mountain was a body part of an alpha dragon. He fell down, his feet unable to hold back his fear.

"Ah...uh?"

"There's nothing to fear, Great Priest. I won't hurt my own mother" he said.

"... how...can...you...talk to me?" tanyanya.

"I speak by telepathy, Great Priest. We dragons can communicate, just that not all races are able to hear our voices."

"Wait, did you say mom? I'm not your mother" Cerlina said. There was the sound of a crisp laugh in his head.

"Great Priest, you were chosen by nature because of your ability to hear our voices. Since the first generation, everyone can hear us."

"I don't know that ability. Why didn't anyone tell you anything about it?" ask Cerlina.

"Ah, because actually those stupid elders don't want you to know everything. They changed everything, even some priests who've been working at the temple for a long time to keep you naive."

"You know..everything?" ask Cerlina.

"We are connected by Oorun which is everything. She's our universe and you're our mother, our protector. You look so anxious, what makes you restless, Grand Priest?"
