The Two Empresses

The Two Empresses
Revolution

After moving Lao and Cerlina to their respective homes, Saciel moved towards the palace, but her steps were stopped by Julian standing in front of her.

"Do you want what?" ask Saciel.

"We need to talk" Julian said. Saciel frowned hearing it. "The Vristhi."

"Vristhi Rosemary is none of my business at the moment, so get out of the way" Saciel said. Julian stayed on, making Saciel a little upset. "Julian Zografos?"

"You're trying to hurt Lao?"

"Huh? Whatchu mean?"

"You know how much Lao loves him, but you forced him to bring back the treacherous Vristhi. What if it wasn't hurt?" challenge Lao.

"Huh, listen to Julian. This thing will be finished sooner if Lao is after him. Are you capable of fighting Vristhi?" reply Saciel. Julian was silent to hear it. "I'm busy, so go."

"Do you know why Vristhi defected?" julian asked after being silent for quite a while.

"...no, no" Saciel replied as she walked quickly away from Julian. He did not realize someone was following from afar with a grin on his face.

"Meu~"

"Wow, the potion really works. All traces of magic.hilangnya no second," said Nero while cleaning Max's room is quite messy. The owner was even engrossed in sitting on the bed without a superior.

"You're right. And my body feels so light" said Max. "Thank you."

"You'd better thank the witches" Nero replied with a slab look. "When can we end this war?"

"...I don't know. The Respher area is still a lot of racism, even here as well. It's not easy to agree to a ceasefire just like that" Max said.

"You have to get approval with everyone first, right?" asked Nero while giving him a cup of tea. Max just nodded and sipped his tea. "You know where Kezia is?"

"Last I heard he's in the library."

"Is that so?" chirps Nero. A paper airplane flies in from the outside and lands on Max's lap.

"Hm? What'sthis?" he took it and opened it. His face suddenly turned pale. Nero who saw it was astonished.

"Why?"

"...we have to find our parents" Max said. "One of our spies found his trail."

"Where?" ask Nero enthusiastically.

"You're not gonna believe this. They're on the northernmost continent and the coldest place in the world, Lazt."

"I just found out there's another continent" murmured Nero.

"Because we are too fixated on the continent of Eurashia alone. I can't just leave the throne, it's just you and Kezia who are allowed to leave" Max said.

"What is true? You serious?"

"We're not close to a ceasefire yet, so my position is still necessary" Max lamented. Nero only sighed and nodded, but a disappointed expression was on his face.

"Oh yeah, you don't intend to find the person who attacked you?" ask Nero.

"For what? I'm sure he's dead" replied Max kalem.

"Can be. Yes, I go first," said Nero. Just turning around he found Vatra standing in the doorway with a bored face. "Damn it!"

"Who is he?" ask Max.

"He is a demigod and an enemy" Nero said, calling the Undine. Vatra just boasted a cynical smile looking at her.

"Is this our first meeting, Prince? I am Vatra, son of Oorun," said Vatra. "I'm just here to offer you something."

"Somehow your offer doesn't seem good" Max chirped as he pointed at the sword. Vatra laughed a little at it.

"Can be. You remember the guy you almost slaughtered here? He's currently trying to snatch away someone valuable to you."

"I don't understand what you mean."

"Maybe this can help you remember" said Vatra, throwing a handful of red hair. Max was surprised and started to be alert.

"Do you want what he is?" max asked half growling.

"Just ask him, not me. Do you want me to tell you?" asked Vatra with a horrible grin.

"Well, you think I'm gonna fall into your trap?"

"Smart is also this wolf," Hina Vatra.

"Max, he's dangerous" whispered Nero.

"I know."

"Since the time is up, I'd better go. Ah, prepare. I'm going to put on the grandest show on the continent of Eurashia. I hope you enjoy" said Vatra. He turned around and just disappeared. Max grabbed the hair and sniffed it.

"... how?" ask Nero.

"It's not hers" Max said in relief. He threw away the hair and burned it. The newly entered Kezia immediately hugged Max and rubbed his head.

"Nii~"

"What's? You're a big boy, okay?" max asked while stroking Kezia's head.

"I miss Saciel nee and Cerlina nee."

"Not now, huh? You remember they're still busy dealing with internal issues" Max said. Kezia pouted hearing that.

"Marrel."

"Rather than that, what if you and Nero were looking for our parents?" said Max diverts. Kezia's tail immediately swayed quickly hearing him.

"Where? How are they doing?"

"I don't know yet, but I think they're okay. They're at Lazt."

"Please bring me a map" Max told a waiter standing in the doorway. The servant nodded and left, then returned with a map in his hand. After getting the map, Max opened the map and pointed to the northernmost region that was given white.

"It's called Lazt, the coldest continent in the world. You need to learn again, boy."

"Oh, that means a lot of snow?" ask Kezia. Max nodded. "Why isn't Max coming?"

"Who will take care of this kingdom if there is no leader?" ask Max with a face.

"Ehe."

"Kezia, you don't meet strangers, do you?" ask Nero. Kezia tilted his head to remember, but he only shook his head. "Good."

"Why indeed?" ask Kezia.

"Because there's an enemy that just came in. Thank goodness you didn't meet him" Nero said. He stroked Kezia's head and looked at Max. "When can we go?"

"Tomorrow," said Max. A soldier came and saluted them. "What's wrong?"

"Your Majesty, there was an attack on the border" said the soldier. "And hundreds of people were wounded."

"Immediately send medical personnel and drugs there. The witches don't know the place" Max growled.

"But this time it's not them who attack. Except the elves."

"Just like, they're still from Respher. Make them do nothing, no need to be killed."

"I'm tired of war" said Kezia.

"So your mouth, boy. Everyone also does not want war, but there are still those who fight for this silliness" Max replied.

"We're all selfish" Nero said. "I'm leaving now, how are you, Kezia?"

"If Nero nii wants to go now, I'll go too" Kezia replied steadily. Max smiled at hearing that.

"Well, I won't ban you. Be careful on the way."

"Wait a minute! Don't leave without blessing from me! sahiut someone. They turned around and found Bishop Made pouting and walking up to them. "Just be cool with you."

"Good day, Bishop Made" said Kezia.

"Good day, Princess. Your journey is now more dangerous, you can even find something surprising. May the Aegis God protect you both, he said, laying hands before them and blessing.

"Thank you for the blessing, Bishop Made. We go first" said Nero. He and Kezia walked away from the palace with a backpack on the back of Bishop Made turning to Max with a smile.

"Why are you smiling?" ask Max.

"Did the Prince already think about the crown princess?" ask the Bishop Made.

"Ah, I didn't even think about it. Anyways...I don't bother with that much."

"Oh, Prince. It is very important to ensure that our country has someone to be your companion while helping in developing this country. Don't take it lightly" lamented Bishop Made. "Do I need to invite noble girls?"

"No, thank you. I already have a candidate" Max said. Bishop Made opened his eyes to hear it.

"Who?"

"You've met him."

"Ah, what does the Prince mean by that red-haired witch lady?" guess Bishop Made. Max put on a faint smile, making Bishop Made shut his mouth.

"Prince, as long as this war is not finished, it will be impossible to make that witch lady your companion. And I guess...You've had trouble with him."

"My sins? You know it wasn't me who killed them" Max said.

"I know, Prince. You pretended to kill him so as not to hurt Princess Kezia's feelings. I didn't expect Princess Kezia to be out of control back then" Bishop Made said.

"There was someone who took him there and triggered him to release the seal. And stupidly I didn't realize he was already on the battlefield. I feel guilty for them."

"Ah, a pair of witches who are similar to the witch lady huh? As they approached Princess Kezia, I did not feel any evil intentions from them. They even intend to help him. I really don't dare to tell this truth."

"Don't say it once. It'll just break his heart" Max said. "I'm so tired."

"I'm sorry, but the Prince just recovered from black magic. I will leave the Prince to rest. Good day," said Bishop Made. He walked away leaving Max clutching a necklace around his neck. Red light shimmered on the ring, but it was weak.

"If only I hadn't done it then, it might have been possible that our destiny lines were different" Max murmured. He hid the necklace under his shirt and looked up at the sky. "What is he doing right now?"

...****************...

"Lao, are you seriously going? You don't have to obey Saciel's words!" julian snapped while holding Lao who was walking towards the door. Lao turned and looked at Julian sharply.

"He's been fighting for our kingdom, where maybe I just left him. He saved my life, even though his life was a bet" Lao replied. Julian smiled bitterly at it.

"You're our leader."

"But I'm not your king. Saciel will be the queen who leads this kingdom, so follow her."

"It's very much confidence that you say it. She's probably going to be queen" Julian said.

"Unfortunately Archduchess Saciel Arakawa will be queen in Careol, Duke of Zografos. I just got the results of the vote" Parvati said, saluting and smiling. "Lady Cerlina Arakawa will take over the title of Archduchess in the near future."

"Why?" julian lirih.

"The Archduchess had already settled matters in the rural areas that had suffered crop failures, taken care of the wounded border soldiers, withdrew taxes from the nobles to fill the royal treasury, as well as providing job vacancies to people who cannot work as they should" Parvati said. Julian was stunned and sighed, then turned to Lao.

"I didn't think he could work that fast, but he was the hardest to manage" he said.

"He's intelligent, just that his character is a bit difficult to change. I'm relieved if he takes care of this kingdom" Lao replied.

"And you're going after Vristhi. Aren't you afraid of what punishment will befall her later?"

"The matter will be taken care of later. I have to leave now, before Vristhi loses his conscience more deeply" Lao said. "Julian, take care of the others for me. And I heard Tania found herself."

"Ah, our little witch? She still needs a lot more to learn in order to become a great magician like the late Duchess" Julian replied. Lao gave a smile and continued in his footsteps.

"Y, Julian. I suggest you find a soul mate soon. Saciel and Cerlina already have a candidate."

"Damn it, you're mocking me, huh?" reply Julian half tease. Lao laughed loudly and waved, then disappeared in one flick of a finger.
