The Two Empresses

The Two Empresses
Father and Son's

"I've been to that place before" Saciel said. Oorun gave a smile hearing that.

"I know, my son. I always watch over you, even when you're dying" Oorun said. Little Saciel-o heard it. "Have you ever tried to get into that little forest over there?"

"No. Nero forbade me from entering because it was too dangerous, even if I just put my hand in."

"It is dangerous, even life threatening. But the plants you need are in the middle of that forest. You still intend to do it?"

"Still," said Saciel firmly. Oorun smiled and made a projection of a small black orchid like jasmine. "What is a plant?"

"Yes, his name is Orchid Onyx. It's black and sparkles like an onyx, but you have to be careful with the sap. His gum can make you paralyzed for a few days" Oorun said.

"Then how do we go in and pick that plant if what we're dealing with is death?" ask Saciel.

"If that you have to find the answer for yourself. Let me warn you, there is no antidote that can neutralize the orchid sap," said Oorun. Saciel groaned softly, but suddenly something strange happened.

"Wait a minute, if the plant is in the world, why can't my friend track it?"

"Oh? The plant witch? That was because there was a sacred boundary that prevented any plant mages from being able to detect it. The plant still includes kahyangan plant, haha," replied Oorun. Saciel just cursed in front of Oorun, then turned around and immediately left him. "I'm not done, my son."

"What do you want?" saciel asked as he stopped and looked over. Oorun stood up and aligned his face with Saciel.

"Can you promise me to kill Vatra?"

"Why didn't you kill him yourself?"

"Because I love him. I can't kill him with my own hands. He is still my son, my flesh and blood with a human being" replied Oorun bitterly. Saciel frowned and looked at him with ice-cold eyes.

"Then why did he attack us and deny your existence?" asked Saciel sharply. Oorun was silent for a moment and sighed.

"The story is complicated and very boring."

"It'd be better if you told that boring story" Saciel said. Before Oorun opened his mouth, a long and painful scream broke the silence. "Cerlina!"

Heavy and steady steps sounded. A large figure approached the garden, but his face was covered by a hood. Saciel drew his sword, waiting for the right time to strike. The man lowered his hood and his ruthless face was clearly imprinted.

"Hi, Dad," said Vatra coldly. Oorun was silent, but his eyes caught an ominous sight.

"What did you do to Cerlina and Nero?" saciel asked, pointing his sword at Vatra.

"Curious?" vatra asked while showing off his bloodied hands. Saciel's blood was bubbling, yet he tried to refrain from attacking blindly. "I'm just getting rid of the insects that happen to play on the stairs."

"Damn it," maki Saciel. Vatra laughed mockingly and advanced as fast as lightning, holding Saciel's head and slamming it as hard as possible. "Khh!"

"Stop, Vatra!" oorun Gelegar. Vatra released the girl and looked at Oorun with a flash of hatred.

"Because of you, mom died. Then what are you doing? You just dumped me. No guilt, no responsibility. Stupid gods!" maki Vatra's.

"What I'm doing is for your own good, Vatra."

"Oh, that? By sacrificing everything? You deserve to be hated and killed, Father," Vatra replied.

"You can kill me, but that doesn't mean you can hurt anyone else" Oorun said. Vatra laughed loudly and threw out some pieces of human body and demi-human. "You're over, Vatra!"

"It's not much, Dad. There's still a lot going on" Vatra said with a sadistic smile. Saciel slowly got up and threw his sword, but was captured by Vatra. "Weak."

"You forgot I'm still protected by Oorun?" ask Vatra condescendingly. Saciel gave a smile and added to the intensity of the heat of the fire, making Vatra a bit of a scowl. "What fire is this?"

"Black fire with holy power," Saciel replied. Vatra immediately turned off the fire, showing off his injured body. "I think it's pretty good."

"Chew, shit," maki Vatra. "You're lucky, boy." He immediately left with a single round, leaving behind the witch and the god.

"You okay?"

"No. My nose is bleeding, I think it's almost broken. Ah, Cerlina!"

Saciel rushes down, finding Nero and Cerlina lying on the steps with blood flowing from their stomachs. Quickly he did first aid and tried to find a healing potion. Oorun who saw it instantly lowered his holy power to save the two of them.

"Why don't you come down?" ask Saciel.

"I can't go down now. Not yet," said Oorun. Saciel frowned, but chose silence and helped them fix the position.

"Cerlina, come to your senses" called Saciel as she patted her cheek gently. "Hey, Nero. Wake."

"Ngh, Ciel?" call Cerlina lirih. Saciel heaved a sigh of relief, then turned to Nero who was still unconscious. "Ah, there.."

"It's okay. Wake Nero up, okay? I still have business with Oorun" Saciel said. After making sure Cerlina was strong, Saciel returned to the top, where Oorun was looking at an oval-shaped pendant with a sad face. "Tell me now."

"Are you impatient, my son? But fine. It was a very long time ago.50 years ago, I came down to earth to take care of something with Hades. And I met a very beautiful girl, as beautiful as you. He was just an ordinary human, weak and helpless without the protection of others."

"Wow, how does it feel to be a little insulting huh?" cut Saciel. Oorun just laughed a little.

"It's true, right?" flip Oorun. Saciel simply shrugged, making a gesture for Oorun to continue his story. "Until where was it? Oh, yes the girl. Her name is Oluphemi."

"A pretty name" said Saciel sincerely.

"It's a beautiful name, but because of that name he also died tragically" Oorun said. "I was captivated by her beauty and kindness, and we had an affair. Vatra is the fruit of our romance and I have no regrets about it. But, I who have been on Earth for too long began to be used as gossip in kahyangan."

"Why be a gossip?"

"It is not uncommon for a god to linger on Earth. Therefore I left Oluphemi who was pregnant with Vatra. I gave him that name so that he would always be warm like a fireplace. I was wrong."

"Did Oluphemi die..because of an incident?" ask Saciel.

"Deus killed him just as Vatra was 10 years old, in front of his eyes. The reason is simple, jealousy. Deus loved her too, but couldn't reach her because she was too busy taking care of Flugel. Funny thing is, he didn't kill Vatra and I was powerless to help him. All eyes are on me."

"... I think you deserve to die for that sin. But why would he take it out on us, all the inhabitants of Earth?" asked Saciel in surprise. Oorun was silent for a long time, as if unwilling to answer that question. "You don't want to talk?"

"For this one I can't answer. You'd better go and find the orchid before your friend dies" Oorun said as he flicked his fingers and moved Saciel back to the temple.

"Ah, dammit. He's dodging my question" Saciel complained. He rushed to meet Cerlina and Nero who were sitting in the living room of the temple without fear. "Nero, we're going to the blood island."

"Blood island? Wait, you're not referring to that uninhabited island, are you?" ask Nero.

"I'm talking about that one" Saciel said.

"No, what are we going there for? You already know how dangerous that place is, don't you?" reject Nero's fear.

"We have to go there. Because the medicinal plants are there."
