The Two Empresses

The Two Empresses
The Festival of Death

"Basic, who let you pass out, barbarian queen?" jegudiel complained while taking him to Avant Heim. "Still helping me, even more burden."

"Ah, Brother!" jibril waved from below. Jegudiel immediately came down and approached him. Jibril was surprised to see an unconscious Saciel in his arms.

"Why is Queen Saciel with Brother?" ask Jibril.

"I accidentally met him because Deus threw me near him. How's things going in here?"

"Everything is fine, only a few flugel were injured as a result of the surprise attack. The attacker killed himself after we caught him" Jibril said.

"Killed yourself?"

"He blew himself up with magic" said Jibril.

"Sissing like the fucker did" Jegudiel murmured. He flew into his house and laid Saciel on the sofa.

"Please call Careol if their queen is here, I want to go to God Deus" Jegudiel said as he darted away from Jibril and Saciel. He flew high through the thick and dense clouds until he reached a place made of thick clouds just above Avant Heim. Seen Deus was sitting on his throne with a relaxed look, as if he already knew Jegudiel would meet him.

"Honor to the God Deus Ex Machina" said Jegudiel, saluting and folding his wings.

"You saved the girl?" ask Deus.

"Yes. At the moment he is unconscious in my residence" said Jegudiel. "...If you may know, why did you throw me?"

"Because I can't let him die before fulfilling the prophecy."

"Pregnancy?"

"You don't need to know about that. I have to go see Oorun now" Deus said as he stood up lazily. "This all happened because of his mistake."

"Ah, briefly. What mistakes are you talking about?" hold Jegudiel. Deus did not reply and instantly disappeared behind a puff of smoke, leaving behind a coughed-up Jegudiel.

"Ah, have you just left? I just asked again" he complained. He returned to Avant Heim and was greeted by several elders who had been waiting for him with cold gazes.

"Jegudiel, did I hear you brought the queen from Careol?"

"He's okay?"

"How is he doing?"

"Brothers, please calm down and ask one-on-one. I can't answer all the questions you're asking. Yes, the queen of Careol is here, unconscious but fine. What's up?" jegudiel said firmly.

"Take him out of this place" said one of the elders. "The girl's just bringing havoc here."

"Catastrophe?"

"He was the curse of the world from the moment he was born" said another. Jegudiel was astonished to hear it.

"What the hell is this?"

"Don't you see the chaos that followed his presence?"

"It's not his fault, please understand that. He was one of the fighters in the war and you guys just forgot about him?" jegudiel said firmly and coldly. "What's wrong?"

"...That's enough," said Saciel. Jegudiel turned around and was surprised to see the young queen walking away limped with a faint smile. "They're not wrong, there's no need to scold her."

"...cheek," said Jegudiel. Saciel looked at the elders with a shady gaze, making them uncomfortable and wary.

"Thank you for keeping me so long as I'm unconscious. After this I will..."

"Your Majesty!" sahiut someone. All pairs of eyes turned and Julian was seen running towards him with a distinctive blindfold on his right eye.

"Julian?"

"Huf...Your Majesty is okay?" tanyanya while adjusting her short breath.

"Sorry for my delay in picking up Your Majesty. I had trouble tracking His Majesty because something was interfering with my communication with the plant."

"I understand. Let's go back, I think Careol is in a big mess."

"...well, Your Majesty," Julian said, nodding at the flugels and the two disappeared right in plain sight.

Upon their return at Careol, Parvati and Stevan are busy taking care of the victims in the palace grounds, assisted by Tania and her butler.

"Your Majesty, are you okay?" parvati asked as she realized their presence and rushed over.

"Our condition?" asked Saciel firmly.

"Two black magicians barged in and ravaged the city. Many were killed on the spot, while the wounded were instantly evacuated here by the Schariac family."

"Who are they?"

"...former elders Erika and Yorktown" Parvati said. Saciel's blood was boiling, making him subconsciously bite his lower lip until it bled.

"Your Majesty, your lips are hurting" Julian said, wiping them gently with his handkerchief. Saciel quickly brushed her aside and turned towards the door, but was held back by Tania.

"Y-Your Majesty, where are you going?" ask Tania lirih.

"Meeting those two demons," Saciel said coldly.

"Sorry, Your Honor. Sis Phillip and Lao said His Majesty should not go down to the battlefield again" Tania said.

"On what basis do they dare to say that?"

"...Your Majesty focus enough on the people, let the knights and soldiers who will face the enemy" Tania said gently. "Your Majesty, your moral support is more important to the people. They need His Majesty to calm their hearts."

Saciel fell silent, then bowed and hugged Tania quite tightly.

"Thank you, Tania," he said softly.

"...pardon me" said Tania. Saciel stroked the little girl's hair and straightened her body, arranging for the medical team to move quickly, while comforting those who were frightened and had no one to lean on. The priests and temple girls came to help along with Cerlina.

"Sister, I'm sorry we're late" he said as he walked quickly closer to Saciel, not forgetting to salute her.

"It's okay, thanks for coming. Please take care of the injured immediately" Saciel replied. Cerlina nodded and directly exerted them to work. Saciel turned to Julian with doubt emanating in his eyes.

"Can you fight?"

"Ahahaha, Your Majesty why ask me that? Just give the order and I will head straight for the battlefield for you," Julian said with a laugh, trying to melt the tense atmosphere that enveloped.

"You don't realize you're far from being primed to fight?" ask Saciel.

"I am still able, Your Majesty. This little wound won't be able to break my spirit to protect Careol, even I'm ready to risk my life for this."

"...then do not die," said Saciel firmly. Julian gave a wide smile and turned around elegantly, leaving Saciel who could not hide her worries. "May Oorun protect you."

"Your Majesty, I will also fight," Tania said firmly. Saciel turned and shook his head.

"can't. You're too young to fight" Saciel refused.

"Your Majesty, I'm not a child anymore! I am part of the 7 Eternal Wizards and also the future head of the Schariac family" Tania argued.

"Your father will not let you fight, Tania. Forget it and stay here."

"I don't want to! I can protect the empire like His Majesty and the others! I will not be a coward hiding behind the backs of others and ignoring those in need of help" Tania said. Before Saciel answered him, the girl had already dashed quickly leaving the palace. The butler just kept quiet.

"You're not after him?" ask Saciel.

"Your Majesty, I hope Your Majesty can see firsthand the development of Miss Tania after Miss Rosemary's abandonment. Miss is not the little girl who whines like before" said the proud butler.
