Reply to the Stork Bird

once upon a time, somewhere in Japan, there lived a young man named Yosaku, who took firewood on a mountain and sold it to the city.

it continued like that every day, until one day when he was walking home from the city he saw something floundering in the snow. after his approach it turns out a heron that was entangled in the device was thrashing. Yosaku immediately released the device.The crane was overjoyed, He circled over Yosaku's head several times before flying into space.

because of the cold weather, when he got home, Yosaku immediately lit a firebox and prepared dinner, when he heard a knock on the door outside the house.

when the door opened, a beautiful girl was standing at the door, her head filled with snow.

"go in and be cold, please warm your body near the furnace" Yosaku said. "want to go where exactly?", asked Yosaku. "I meant to visit my friend, but because the snow fell heavily, "would it go where it is?", asked Yosaku, I became lost. Can I stay here tonight?"

"maybe Miss, but I'm a poor man, I don't have a bed and no food" Yosaku said, "it's okay, I just want to be allowed to stay over". then the girl tidied up her room and cooked a good meal.

when she woke up the next day, she had prepared rice. Yosaku thought that the girl would leave soon, he felt lonely. The snow still fell with a heavy. "stay here until the snow breaks." after five days passed the snow subsided. The girl said to my father, "make me your wife, and let me stay in this house." Yosaku was happy to accept the request. "from today call me Otsuru", said the girl.

after becoming a wife one day, Otsuru asked her husband, Yosaku, to buy her a thread because he wanted to weave.

Otsuru began to weave. she advised her husband never to peek into the baffle where he told to weave. After 3 consecutive days of weaving without eating and drinking, Otsuru came out.

before going home, he bought various items to take home. "Thanks to you, I got this much money, thank you my wife, but actually the merchants in the city wanted more of it. "Well, I'll make it" said Otsuru.the cloth was finished on the fourth day after Otsuru weaved.but without otsuru was not healthy, and his body became thin. Otsuru asked her husband not to ask her to weave again.

in the city, the merchant asked to make another cloth for the kimono of the princess.if there was none then Yos I would be beheaded his neck. "Well shall I make it again, but Only One strand" said Otsuru.

anxious about the condition of his wife who grew weaker and thinner each time weaving, Josaku wanted to look into the weaving room, but he was very surprised when he saw it in the weaving room, it turned out that a stork was plucking its fur to be woven into cloth. so that the body of the stork was almost bald to run out of fur. The stork finally realized he was being noticed by my josaku, the stork also changed into Otsuru. "finally you see it also" said Otsuru.

"Actually I am a stork that you once helped", to repay my kindness I changed into a human being and do this "said Otsuru." means it's time for me to part with you" otsuru.

"I'm sorry, please don't go" said Yosaku. Otsuru finally turned back into a stork. then he immediately flapped his wings flew out of the house into space.
