The Death of King Bunu
King Bunu had long been ill. All kinds of efforts have been tried to heal the King. But it never produced results. The two brothers of King Bunu, namely King Sangen and King Sangiang, decided to ask for help Nyai Jaya and Mangku Amat. Both are very famous as great healers. So, sent the son of King Bunu, the Prince of Paninting Tarung to pick up the two healers on the edge of Telaga Mantuk.
Prince Paninting Tarung came to the residence of the two healers. Unfortunately, the two great healers were leaving their residence. Both of his uncles asked Prince Paninting Tarung to return to the healer's house. Both doctors could not be found.
On the third visit, Prince Paninting Tarung still did not meet the great physician. Then their house was torn down. The Prince wanted to prove to his two uncles that Nyai Jaya and Mangku Amat were completely out of place.
"I've got there. It's a doorstop, a drumstick, medical devices, and a junction from the rubble of the two healers' houses that I've dismantled" said Prince Paninting Tarung, a little upset. He felt his two uncles had accused him of lying.
Nyai Jaya and Mangku Amat were disappointed with what Prince Paninting Tarung did. If only the Prince could patiently wait until they returned, they would most likely still be able to treat King Bunu. However, at this time the instruments of the crucifixion have been all destroyed. There's nothing they can do anymore. There won't be enough time for them to fix those medical devices. Because the Prince of Paninting Tarung who did not want to be patient, King Bunu finally died.

In the course of hereditary history, this is the forerunner to the birth of the Sultanate of Bulungan. Bulungan, derived from the word feather tengon, which means real bamboo. Some say Bulungan comes from the word bulongan, which means bamboo and eggs. Due to the change of dialect, it turns into a circle.
