In Nigeria, there is a strong man. He can lift twice as much weight as anyone else. His name was Shadusa. He felt that he was the strongest. "I am the strongest man in the land" Shadusa told his wife Shettu. "Look at my muscles. There will be no one who can match my strength. I'm the Master Man" Shadusa added.
"You don't be arrogant. There must be someone who can match you" Shettu replied. "Maybe here you are the strongest. But out there, there must be something stronger. You must have lost to them" explained his wife.
One day, Shettu visits his brother's house in the next village. On the way home, Shettu felt very thirsty. Lucky for him, because he found a well on the side of the road. "That's a well, what a lucky me," he murmured.
He put the bucket into the well "Byurrrrrrr," the sound of the bucket touching the water. Shettu tried to pull the bucket up, but he was unable to pull it.
"It's heavy in this bucket, '" he murmured. At that time, a woman came holding a baby and on top of her head was a pumpkin. He also wanted to get water
"You won't get water today" Shettu said. "The ember will not be able to be pulled up" he added.
The two women ended up pulling the bucket together, but to no avail.
The woman then lowered the baby and said, "Son, please pull the bucket for me." Quickly, the baby pulled the bucket.
He brought water for his mother. Then, take one more bucket for Shettu. "I really don't believe it" Shettu said in astonishment.
"That's perfectly natural" said the woman. "If your husband is Master Man, it could happen to your son, too" he added.
Arriving home, Shettu tells Shadusa. "What's? You said he was a hotshot! I'm the hero" Shadusa shouted.
"I want to meet him. I'll teach him a lesson" said Shadusa growled.
"Don't Shadusa, you won't be able to fight the boy" Shettu said. "If his son is that strong what about his father!" he added.
"No, I'll keep looking for him" Shadusa said.
A few days later, Shadusa passed through a well. He stopped to get water. He put the bucket in it and pulled it up. But the bucket was not lifted. With all his might he tried, but still did not succeed.
At that moment, there was a woman coming in holding a baby. It was that woman who had met Shettu before.
"What do you want to do" asked Shadusa.
"I want to get some water" he answered.
"You won't get water today" Shadusa explained. "The ember cannot be lifted up" he added.
"Wait a minute" the woman asked.
The woman lowered the baby to the ground and ordered to fetch water. The baby then pulls the bucket and fills his mother's pumpkin.
"Well! I can't believe it! How could he do that?" ask Shadusa astonishment. "It's very easy, if you have a Master Man's father" replied the mother.
"Master Man's? His father was a Master Man," Shadusa repeated.
"I want to meet him" Shadusa said.
"Better not master," prevent the woman.
"No, I still want to see him" urged Shadusa.
"Alright then," the woman gave up.
Shadusa followed the woman home. They were in a house with a very large yard. There was a very large fireplace, a giant fireplace.
"This is where we live" the woman pointed to her house. "That fireplace where my husband cooked his meal. Because we're too small, he's preying on an elephant" he explained.
Hearing the woman's story, Shadusa became goosebumps.
Suddenly there was a rumbling sound, the ground became swaying.
"What's this?" ask Shadusa. "That's my husband, Master Man, coming over" he replied.
"Hurry and hide in that empty barrel" the woman commanded.
He also helps Shadusa into an empty barrel.
The woman then approached her husband. "How was your day, dear" asked the woman. "I forgot to bring my bow and arrow. I had to catch the elephant with my bare hands" her husband replied.
Shadusa peeked out from her hiding place. He heard their conversation from that place.
"I smell human. Is there anyone else here?" giant insist. "No-no, husband. Here it's just us" he replied with a slight nervousness.
"You've missed it while hunting, maybe the smell is still smelling today" she assured her husband. "Alright, I'll cook my game," the giant sighed.
The giant put an elephant on his fireplace. After it ripens he eats it voraciously. Shortly afterwards, he fell asleep The sound of his snoring vibrating the leaves on the tree.
When she felt safe, she approached Shadusa. "Hurry to leave this place before my husband awakens" the woman ordered.
"All right" replied Shadusa.
Not far away he left the courtyard of the house. There was a rumbling sound, the ground was shaking. "Master Man is coming!" his yell.
On the run, Shadusa meets five farmers. "Hi! What's the rush" asked one of the farmers. "I'm being chased by Master Man" he replied. "Relax, Master Man won't dare disturb us because we are five" said another.
Suddenly they heard a rumble and the ground trembled. "What's this?" ask a farmer.
"That's Master Man" Shadusa replied. "Then you have to keep running" the farmer suggested.
Shadusa ran as fast as she could, the five farmers ran across the rice fields.
Shadusa runs, until she meets the ten coolies of the building. "What's the rush" asked one of the porters. "I'm being chased by Master Man" Shadusa replied.
"Calm down, Master Man will not dare to fight us because we have ten people" they said.
Suddenly the ground shook and there was a rumbling sound.
"What's this?" ask one porter. "That's Master Man" Shadusa replied.
"Then, you better keep running so as not to get caught" the building porters suggested.
Shadusa continued running. He was just around the corner. He met a stranger and was sitting quietly among a pile of elephant bones. "What's the hurry" asked the stranger.
"There's a Master Man! He's after me" Shadusa replied.
"Don't say that, I'm the Master Man" he said.
Shadusa jumped in shock. Suddenly Master Man had caught him with one hand. "Give him to me, ask the stranger who confessed to Master Man. "Take it out of my hand if you can" said Master Man.
They're fighting over Shadusa. Master Man lunges, the stranger fights back, while Shadusa is thrown into a tree.
The two fought, flew into space, the clouds, and there was a rumbling sound behind the clouds, they continued to fight. Long Shadusa waited, but the two strangers did not come down. They keep fighting.
They rested for a moment, then fought again. That's next. They were two fools who wanted to prove themselves as Master Man. If there was a rumble above the sky, it was a sign that they were fighting. Some call the sound of thunder the sound of their fight.
