One afternoon, the Loreng followed the husband and wife to the rice field. He roared and rubbed his body The couple was astonished at the behavior of the Loreng. He doesn't usually act like that. Suddenly they saw Loreng's mouth filled with blood. Their bad thoughts arise. "Fry up, have you killed our son?!" shouted the husband.

Purbasari called him Lutung Kasarung. The monkey is very attentive. He always tried to please Purbasari by giving fruits and flowers.


When the full moon came, Lutung Kasarung meditated in a hidden place. There are springs around there. The water formed a clear lake. "Submerge in this lake, Purbasari," said Lutung Kasarung. Dayang Sumbi was a princess of the king. She is beautiful and has a noble heart. Many princes wanted to bring it. This led to a war between the kingdoms. Dayang Sumbi tired. He decided to isolate himself in the forest. No one accompanied him, other than a male dog named Tumang. To fill his days, Dayang Sumbi weave cloth.


One day, his loom fell. Dayang Sumbi lazy to take it. Without a second thought, he swore, "Whoever can take my loom, if it be a woman, I will make a brother, and if it be a man, I will make a husband."


The butcher, who was actually the incarnation of a god, heard the oath. He picked up the loom from the valley of the hill. Dayang Sumbi kept his promise. He married Tumang. They had a son named Sangkuriang. Sangkuriang never knew who his father was. When he was five years old, Sangkuriang was already adept at hunting. He used spears and arrows to kill his prey.


That morning, Dayang Sumbi asked Sangkuriang to hunt deer. He wants a deer heart. Depart Sangkuriang accompanied by Tumang. However, after a day of hunting, Sangkuriang did not get a single antelope. He was also upset because the Tumang did not help much. Sangkuriang was angry, then shot the dog to death. Sangkuriang took Tumang's heart and brought him home.

Sangkuriang grew into a handsome and dashing young man. He got the name Sangkalana from his teacher. One time, he arrived somewhere and met Dayang Sumbi. Of course they don't know each other. They fell in love and agreed to get married.


Sangkalalana is hunting. When tying the cloth on the head of Sangkalana, Dayang Sumbi saw the same scar as his son's scar. Dayang Sumbi was very surprised. "You're my real son!" summar Dayang Sumbi's. Sangkalalana does not believe. He assumed Dayang Sumbi deliberately avoided it.
