The troops were led by Rangkud, upon arrival at the residence of Sunan Prawata, Rangkud managed to sneak into the bedroom of Sunan Prawata while his men stood guard outside.

At that time, Sunan Prawata was suffering from pain so that he could not do much other than surrender. He admitted his mistake and was willing to end his life by an unknown person.

"Hi, Kisanak, finish my life! I will be responsible for Raden Kikin's death. But, please don't hurt my wife!" iba Sunan Prawata's.

Rangkud granted the request. However, when she threw her gris into the body of Sunan Prawata, it turned out that the keris was translucent to hit the body of Sunan Prawata's wife who took shelter behind her husband's back. No doubt, Sunan Prawata's wife was also killed.

Meanwhile, Arya Penangsang who had mastered Demak increasingly violent. He also intends to destroy Sultan Trenggana's son-in-law named Sultan Hadiwijaya or Jaka Tingkir in Pajang. For that, he sent four of his men to Pajang. Upon arrival there, the four envoys were actually caught by Sultan Hadiwijaya. However, they were not punished but were given gifts and told to return to Jipang.

The return of the four messengers who brought the gift certainly made Arya Penangsang offended and very angry. He decided to kill Sunan Hadiwijaya with his own hands.

Sunan Hadiwijaya who knew the news considered Arya Penangsang had rebelled against Pajang. However, he did not want to fight Arya Penangsang directly because they were both members of the Demak family and fellow students of Sunan Kudus. To face the rebels, Sultan Hadiwijaya held a contest. Whoever is able to destroy Arya Penangsang, then he will be rewarded with land in the Pati area and the Mataram Forest.

Ki Ageng Uncleahan and Ki Juru Martani immediately devised a plan and tactics of war against Arya Penangsang. Ki Juru Martani suggested to Ki Ageng Pamanahan to try so that they can bring the heirloom spear Kyai Plered owned by Sultan Hadiwijaya to the battlefield because only the spear was able to injure Arya Penangsang.

At the suggestion of Ki Juru Martani, Ki Ageng Pamanahan pleaded with Sultan Hadiwijaya to bring the Sultan's adopted son named Danang Sutawijaya to the battlefield. That way, Sultan Hadiwijaya will lend his inheritance to his adopted son. Sultan Hadiwijaya agreed.

On the appointed day, Ki Ageng Pamanahan with his entourage left for Jipang area. The attack was led by Ki Juru Martani. Upon arrival on the banks of the Bengawan Solo river which is the boundary of the Sela and Jipang regions, Ki Juru Martani immediately arranged a strategy. Danang Sutawijaya is seen standing next to a white horse that will be on his mount to face Arya Penangsang. In his hand was clutched Kyai Plered's heirloom spear, which was covered with white cloth and given a series of jasmine flowers.

Not far from where Pajang troops hide, there appears a pekatik (horse keepers) who are looking for grass for horses belonging to Arya Penangsang. Ki Martani immediately caught the stick and injured his ear and surrounded him with a letter of challenge. After that, the pekatik was told to immediately return to Jipang to face Arya Penangsang.
