The Origin of Lampung

There were four brothers named Ompung Silamponga, Ompung Silitonga, Ompung Silatoa, and Ompung Sintalaga. They are fleeing from Tapanuli. For days they were drifting without direction in the middle of the sea with dwindling food supplies. Every time they find land, they look for food.

Once, Ompung Silamponga fell ill. However, he still intends to continue the journey. Meanwhile, his three brothers had grown weary and decided to stop sailing. Suddenly, a raft seemed to drift. His three brothers moved Opung Silamponga to the raft. Silamponga's opaque carried the current away from them. After a long time, the raft hit a hard object. Silamponga woke up. He was stranded on an island. I don't know why he felt his body become healthy. He decided to stay there.

Some time later, Ompung Silamponga was bored. He went and explored the forest. Set him on a hill. From there he saw a beautiful view. He could also see many people living at the foot of the hill. Overjoyed, he shouted, "Lappung! Wrap up!" In Tapanuli, lappung means broad.

Ompung Silamponga opened a village around the hill. He named the place Lappung. Around that place, there was also a group of people. Ompung Silamponga established a relationship with the natives. The longer the area is growing. Silamponga spent his life there.

The name Lampung is recognized to come from two things. First, from the words shouted Ompung Silamponga. Second, derived from part of the name Ompung Silamponga.

The Story of Crocodile Pirate

The next day, the mother went to the palace. The six princesses refused. However, the youngest daughter is willing to be visited Bujang Frog. The King gave one condition to Bujang Frog.
