Deja Vu [ Lilian Ashley ]

Deja Vu [ Lilian Ashley ]
15. Recent Deaths

IN the end, after breaking through the darkness of the night on the sidelines of the crowd, I also arrived at the apartment.

A bed I made a place to immerse my face and wet my tears. I unceasingly cursed the nightmare that always haunted me from before waking up or after waking up in this mortal world.

I don't care about the two eyes that have been bruised like they've been stung by a bee and look so ugly. I close my eyes and hope tomorrow is a day that all misfortune avoids. I hope so, hopefully.

On July 24, I woke up.

Quickly, I got up and immediately got ready for the sick rune to accompany River. I bought some fruit and some porridge, although I knew that the hospital would provide both. But this purchase is a form of caring and adab in distinguishing the sick.

My hope when I get to the hospital is to be greeted with open eyes by River. But it didn't happen. River still closed his eyes when I got to him. Maybe the dope still works, or it could be this guy's still asleep. Never mind, I better go to campus even though the first hour has been counted as a total late and hope to make other activities a diversion of my worries.

Throughout my time on campus, my brain was filled with questions about River's condition. Unfortunately, I have to work. It's okay, after I get home from the cafe, I have to go back to the hospital by public transport.

There are no more important activities I have to do other than accompany my savior.

"Ley," called Kai as I stepped out when it was time to go home and head for the cafe. "Back work, you want to take a look at River?"

"Yes," I replied briefly while nodding slowly.

"Gue's coming, yeah." Kai looked up in a breath. "All of you I've brought nyokap."

It seems, nyokap kai and River will become more worried when they see the condition of River.

I also work to focus on not making things worse myself. But I can't. Curing worry is hard.

Time felt so long that I could finally breathe a sigh of relief when the clock showed the time to go home.

"Ashley, we also want to look at River" Megan said with a nod of other friends.

"Caves follow! But take a taxi!" suhut Vin then accompanied by Jakata Kurt. "Ouch, tired of walking! We're out of work."

Kurt stared intently at Vin. "Who will pay?"

"Cave, deh." Vin nodded his head with a stench.

It turns out, they all care so much about each other. Pleasantly.

We headed to the hospital by taxi. Arriving at the hospital with a variety of hands, a warm welcome from Nyokap River also attended us. There was one thing that made me smile wide a sign of relief enveloping me. River is dead! Thank goodness. I'm grateful my guess was wrong.

"Definitely run with reckless on the road until this, huh?" vin said in a joking tone to River.

"Yes, really. For the sake of my own girl," replied River ketus who managed to make my face red.

"Ciee, Ashley salting," Megan said with a nudge and a small laugh.

We laughed and almost took the worry out of River. So crowded and peaceful. I like this susana.

Suddenly Sherly appeared with a box of chicken porridge and we could all just be quiet as a result of so much chicken porridge piling up on the table next to River because there was no way she could eat that much in an instant.

"Udah an hour more, I went back first, bro," Pamit Kai with his nyokap, then followed by everyone.

"Bye, River. GWS, yes!" megan said and walked out to go home.

Now all that remains is me.

"At last they go, really disturbing," River sneered in a faint tone.

I also sat down on the chair next to River's bed and was stunned. "Sorry, yes. Because of me, you're such a wretch."

Instantly River put on a sour face. "What the hell, Ley. Don't make my sacrifice a waste."

There is nothing I can show you but a smile.

For a long time we chatted with a happy mood and I kept asking him how he was until the guy got fed up. That's what we do to forget about time. The night was getting too late and I was not allowed to stay in the hospital before being humiliated.

"Gue's afraid it's too late. I'm leaving, yes," I said to step aside and twist my body to step away.

Suddenly my hands clasped together to make me stop, "Ley, be careful on the road. Don't daydream. Don't make me worry, goddamn it."

I smiled even though River said a swear word to me. "Okay, thanks."

River smiled in relief then said, "Night."

In the end, we got separated.

My phone was left in the apartment because my brain was too busy thinking about River.

Now I have to walk. Of course, I don't want to go through the zebra cross road that has brought me to a bad luck twice. This is the result if you continue to contemplate useless things to harm yourself or others. I also turned the direction to the apartment by passing through the park area and behind the campus. Truly a fairly quiet street decorated with dim street lights and full moon light. Soon I will arrive, stay through the train line at once two turns then after my trip.

When I stepped to pass the second railway, again misfortune approached me. The tip of my shoe got stuck on the rell. Not only shoes, but my toes were also stuck and it felt a little painful. If I try to forcefully pull it, my foot might get hurt and my shoe might get badly damaged. I leaned over slowly to slowly pull my legs apart as quickly as possible.

Ohshaw. The twang of the rail barrier crossing fence has sounded which indicates a train is coming soon. The roar of the wheel caused me to panic half to death until I did not care about the bag that fell while my hands only busied themselves to release this leg from the rail.

Good, I managed to let go!

I thought that the light of the train was coming from behind me which was about to shoot on the first rail, so I therefore stepped towards the second rail as quickly as possible to dodge. But I made a big mistake. When both my legs are fully complete step on the tracks of both trains, instantly the mouth of the train derailed towards me with the maximum speed as well as the sound of the creaking of the brakes that indicated that the driver was trying to stop the train before crashing from me. My eyes were wide open and the shrill ringing sound was accompanied by a scream that I did not realize that my mouth was screaming hysterically in the eyes of my deadly intermediary.

I knew that this time it would never survive again.

For the umpteenth time, my world went dark.
