Deja Vu [ Lilian Ashley ]

Deja Vu [ Lilian Ashley ]
35. The Last Death's

The fire has danced in every eye, illuminating the place that was once so dark.

Now it has crossed my memory of the fire that devoured me alive. As I saw in the nightmare of how I died in quick succession. On this burning campus and right on July 26th, my death was doomed until it was shown early. However, that does not mean I will just give up and surrender.

The path to the outside of the campus area has been blocked with burning chairs scattered haphazardly. Without being able to choose, I finally took another path in which I would enter the campus environment deeper. Running and running, despite the sound of laughter chasing me, I kept trying as much as possible.

Then, I arrived at the campus clock tower filled with circular stairs up to the top. No other choice, I can't go back to find a better place to hide. Although I was tired, I forced this leg up the stairs quickly before it was consumed by the fire. A little more ... A little more I'll get to the top.

At the same time, the sound of iron clanking appeared on the stairs I had passed. My head tried to look down and immediately saw the existence of Zack who was lashing out slowly with a pair of scissors in his hand.

"Where are you going, Ashley? Give up," Zack snapped with the sound of the fire.

I don't care about those screams. When I got upstairs, I quickly broke down many times the door that would be the last escape. Not flinching at all, even though I tried to pull the handle and forcefully kick. In this unlucky moment, Zack has come to get to me.

"There's no way around it anymore, Ashley." Zack was getting ready to point the scissors at me. "Come here."

Spontaneously I clung to the wall trembling as I walked as my last resort. Zack also walked over until I stuck to this floor guardrail that could see downstairs.

"Zack, relax! I know it's not you!" I cried out in frustration and instead of getting the answer I wanted, but a discordant laugh.

He kept coming towards me and said, "Pick to die in my hand, or die alive?"

The fire had covered the surrounding area until the time was destroyed and turned to ashes. Including the fence that I've made a backrest.

THE TRACK!

The fence behind me shattered and I immediately screamed out loud in shock as I was about to fall. Now I am waiting for my death for the umpteenth time. This incident is no different than what I saw before. It fits me so well to call 'Deja Vu' for my very strange life.

My body is stuck. I didn't fall because one of my hands was held by Zack. At first I thought that his original consciousness had recovered. But it seems wrong. It was his hand that caught me, and his other hand pointed scissors at me.

"Death, Ashley!"

Suddenly, I closed my eyes and hoped that the pain I was getting would be felt for a while. A moment ... and for a moment nothing happened. In a few seconds, I felt nothing stuck in my body. Slowly I opened my eyes and my breath was blocked when I saw a sight that was hard to believe.

Zack stabbed his chest with the scissors he was carrying. His eyes squinted in a glance towards the prick and his teeth bulged furiously.

"This idiot is really doing stupid things" his grunts who still had the consciousness of the Keji.

Instantly his body fell and lay on the floor to pull me strong until he fell on his body. The blood started to pool, my white shirt escaped wet with blood and made me nauseous.

"I-I made it," muttered Zack with a stammer that made me instantly wake up and know that his original consciousness had been present. "My, I managed to save you."

His face was pale, now turning pale. Spontaneously, both of my hands held onto Zack's face. My tears that began to mean the fear of being killed, now become sadness in rejecting the reality in front of my eyes. Damn, I didn't bring a cell phone to call the rescuers. I unceasingly chided myself inwardly just because of a small carelessness, it became fatal. Zack could have been saved, for sure!

"Zack, breathe! Let's get down and get out of here!" my screams are becoming more and more.

At a time like this, he smiled faintly like he had experienced nothing. "Can't .. I'll be your burden to get outside. Go, quick."

"No way!" my sergeant is impatient.

"Live freely, Ashley. Thank you for keeping your life before death."

Zack uttered his last sentence before closing his eyes until he could not open again. My cry broke, I roared. My problem is so hard that it hiccups. My tears were flowing unceasingly, to the point that I thought that my eyes would soon be flowing blood, not water.

DING! DONG!

The sound of the bell from the clock tower has sounded which indicates that it is now midnight exactly.00:00, July 26 has passed. There is no meaning, there are still three more days to face the dangers of the world. It's all over.

Do I have to kill myself to get my soul thrown into another parallel world with Zack?

I stared fixedly at Zack's lifeless body. Then, as hard as I could stand and turn around until I could see the area below that was like a sea of fire. All right, the pain will be for a while. I also raised one leg to prepare to plunge down.

But when my feet stepped, instead of falling, I stepped on the floor. Not only that, everything changed. Not a burning clock tower or a sea of fire. But the empty space is dark overall. Just like the dream I first saw.

Without pause, my surroundings changed again and a wind blew until it made me realize that I had been standing in the crowd. The sun was shining so bright that it made me glare, people passed by and I finally knew that I was standing in front of the campus gate.

What's the matter? Am I dead without feeling anything and able to go to another parallel world?

A book I cuddled in front of my chest, and a sling bag I had brought. Then I quickly took the phone and turned it on.

'12:00 Monday, 01 June.'

My face was dumbfounded and spontaneously one of my hands smothered my mouth in disbelief about what had been seen. Not July 27th or July 20th. Moreover, it is not like my resurrection from the dead with time running backwards to 18:00 on July 20. It's so different than before!

In an instant, I jumped in shock. All the original memories I wanted to recover had returned into my memories. All my memories, everything about my previous life, have returned without forgetting what I have experienced about all the deaths, as well as the transfer of my soul to another parallel world. Especially Zack's death frustrates me.

I remember everything. I studied in accounting but attended a painting club. Right, I have a hobby of painting! Later, I worked as a waiter at the same cafe, the cafe clair de lune. Not as a manager. Then, stay in the same apartment. As for me, I was Kai and River's childhood friend. It's really not much different than before! Among all that, what made me the most happy was that I wasn't a member of Cate. Moreover, I do not know any of them.

One thing that makes me weird. There's nothing going through my brain about Zack. Even knowing him or seeing him before has never been at all. I don't have a boyfriend either, quite different than before.

"Excuse me."

My body rippled and my eyes bought when I heard the voice next to me. Slowly, this head turned its head and saw what I had expected from the beginning, to the point that my tears were dripping unconsciously.

Zack! He is Zack!

"Is something wrong? Why crying?" ask with a little confusion.

I wiped my tears and smiled happily. "No, there's no. Really."

Zack tilted his head and began to feel awkward. "I'm sorry, I seem to be lost around here because I just visited for the first time. So, can you explain the plan of this area?"

Just like the story Zack told you. Our first meeting was in front of the campus, and he asked me about the floor plan. Everything is clear to conclude.

Time has turned back and this is our real world.
