IT FEELS so strange this morning because now I will leave for the cafe early with the aim of handling my employees. Yes, this time they are my subordinates, not my own. It feels unbelievable.
Not only does the morning feel weird, but my phone does too. Not because of the shape, color or brand. Except for a message. There was no message from the mysterious in asking for my current condition.
Where the hell is he? Have you forgotten me?
I knew that he was the one who held all the answers to the questions that were jubilant in my mind. Whether it's about the paradox that hit me or maybe who I really am. Where is my real world.
"Excuse me."
All my musings were broken when I someone stopped me from walking with his words. I just realized that it was not half way to get to the cafe.
I lifted my head and got a surprise for a few times. Zack Again. Why is he often near me, but does not introduce himself at all?
"Don't go down the path there. Just take a detour. Even though it's too late, at least just be careful" Zack told me. Then, he immediately stepped back and twisted his body.
The path I was about to walk was a fast path to caffe and I used to walk.
And I answered, "Wait a minute, what's going on?"
Didn't get any response and Zack left. In fact, the guy I saw from far away was passing the path. What's wrong with her?
I also said because I remembered the accident at the red light that had been reprimanded by the man so as not to pass it. Finally I decided to book a taxi online, then headed for the cafe quietly.
When it arrived, it felt a little tense to open the back door for the first time and change the signboard starting from 'close' to 'open'.
"For the Manager," said the bespectacled guy who was originally the manager of this cafe. He came early or maybe a morning shift was his schedule. Wait a minute, there can't be any division because yesterday I saw him still in the cafe until night.
How cruel I was in arranging employees without a swift distribution schedule.
I also glanced at the name of the man and said the name 'DJ' which made me confused to call him.
"Yes, morning ..," I also chimed in calling his name. "DJ." JN."
The DJ who was standing in front of the cashier turned his head in all directions. His neck stuck out toward the kitchen like it was checking something. He finally breathed a sigh of relief while looking at me fixedly.
"Ashley, how do you do this employee tour?" asked the DJ who made me a little surprised by the change in his attitude towards me. Starting with his formal style of speech, it has now become informal.
I also took the initiative to follow his style of speech. "Emm, there's something important that I have to do at the same time on the employee tour. If I decide, there will be no one to handle."
Instead of being detached from the DJ, instead he looked at me in confusion. "Huh? Mean lo?"
I became angry when asked that question.
"Lo knows why we don't do employee tours?" DJ looked at me.
Isn't it to improve employee performance? I said, "no."
"Don't tell me you forgot," continued DJ as he stared at the ceiling. "Mending lo tell the employees that this tour is so."
Instantly remembered by me about the tour I had done in the small forest. Not a tour, but camping. Megan told me that it was our manager's birthday, or rather DJ's.
"Why? Do you want to celebrate your birthday?" I said with a plain look.
DJ looked at me. "Year date? My birthday was past. We don't tour for..."
"Hallo!" Sherly emerges from the kitchen and greets us cheerfully which makes the DJ stop her speech. "My train's coming early, it's Miss Manager first."
"Just get in." DJ nodded slowly. "Let's Sher, hunt down the coordinating Miss Manager. Mending we immediately prepare some menus before customers come."
By the way, I don't know how Mr. Manager slashes DJ in taking care of this caffe. In the past, he had often scolded everyone for a small matter. Or maybe the cuek version is never handle anything. Maybe I should take the middle ground, which is friendly and well-handled.
I just found out that there's a special manager's room near the kitchen. When I entered it, there was only a minimalist room with a table and chairs. The decoration is just a pile of documents and computers that contain both profit and loss data.
Rather than me sitting around not understanding what to do in this room, it's better to look around at the employees who work without mistakes, that's my opinion. Even once in a while, DJs steal a glance at me. I don't know what he's coding for, I can only tilt my head a little to ask what the point of his view is.
For the umpteenth time, the entrance bell reads the sign of the customer coming. However, my head was provoked to turn when I noticed Megan wiping the table.
Our eyes looked at each other. Me and Zack. Again he appeared before me.
Instead of putting on a tired, flat, cruel and sinister look while terrorizing me, she smiled broadly as Sherly welcomed her presence.
Is he different this time than he was before? Maybe because of the death factor and my transfer in other circumstances, then his nature is also different from before.
"Hey, bro! You haven't been here in two days." DJ greeted Zack familiarly.
Vin came to Zack with a coffee latte. They look familiar, were they like this before?
"Cannot be called a regular customer if it has not come two days," said Vin while placing an order that he brought.
Turns out Zack was our subscription. They deserve to be so familiar. I accidentally saw him holding a small camera and putting earphones perched on his neck to his ears. His conversation with caffe employees sounded familiar in discussing the topic of the camera. I better not steal listen.
I who was standing in the corner of the barista table became unintentionally looking at each other with Zack. I hurriedly lowered my gaze and went to the kitchen.
It was a very different day and I was used to living it to the end.
I let all the employees go home first so I could lock the caffe because it felt bad that Kurt did it. Kurt's the new one, not Kurt who used to be my girlfriend. Ah, sudah.
Caffe was deserted and all the lights were off except for the lights in the waiting room. I went out the back door and locked it. As I turned to walk out of the small alley, it was seen DJ leaning against the wall of the alley by looking up at the sky.
"DJ, you haven't come home yet?" my many.
DJ looked at me. "For a long time, what's in dalem?"
"So I took care..."
"Oh, there's nobody. Why speak formal language? Let's go for it." DJ interrupted me and we started walking together.
We must have been close friends until he brought me home together. I got carried away with the thought of the impassable path, and what is it possible that now I shouldn't have passed even with DJ?
Wait a minute, I feel like I want to know what DJ's call means. "DJ, I. uh, I forgot your real name."
DJ turned his head towards me and slightly put on a surprised expression. "Oh, you suddenly senile? Dirga, Dirga Jeercate. This is my public call. Due to insomnia, the memory in your brain becomes an error too?"
I can't believe what I heard from DJ's mouth. He used to be fierce as a manager and there were good times when I lived in the previous world. Actually, I don't need to be surprised by the style of speech that is a little painful and no less rude to River. Even he did not hesitate to say if my brain error, although the reality is true as it is, but quite painful to hear.
"Why not go to college after opening the cafe this morning?" ask the DJ who jolted me from my random thoughts.
My life will not escape from college. It will definitely be no different than before. From tomorrow I will go to the cafe, then go to the campus and go back to the cafe. My schedule is so tight for now.
One more thing, I have to remember Kurt's saying that I can't die in this paradox.
"And don't tell me you forgot that I'm your boyfriend?"
