"HELLO? Why bengong?"
Zack waved his hand in front of my face to make me wake up from the daydream. Thinking about the theory about the lives of the two of us, has made me really confused.
"Ah, sorry. I'm thinking something." What the fuck am I talking about? I might suddenly talk about thinking about something. Now I'm embarrassed.
Zack smiled awkwardly. "Oh, sorry. I seem a little annoying."
When she wanted to step away from me, I quickly grabbed her hand before saying, "not bothering at all. You want to ask questions about the area here, don't you? I'll go around."
In a few seconds Zack fell silent and looked at me. She must have thought that I was a strange girl. How embarrassing I am.
"All right." Zack agreed to my invitation by putting on a sweet smile. A smile I miss so much.
When I started the journey, I remembered the condition of my hair. The back of my hair turned as long and short as before. Perhaps because I have returned to my original world, then everything will be as it was. Unlike previous parallel world displacements where a special condition will be carried away at any time. Even though he rose from the dead.
"There are still a lot of pedestrians here and reduce the use of vehicles, unless the distance is far enough," I said hurriedly as I began to remember that now I was guiding Zack. "The place that was the beginning of our meeting was my campus. Any time you want to meet me, come to college. I'm in the morning."
My words are so ridiculous. This is our first meeting, I mean just Zack. So, why am I so familiar?
Next, I took Zack around various compilations, downtown parks, and explained how many shops he could go to.
"I recommend the cafe clair de lune. The menu there is quite varied, "my advice with promotional elements and who knows my Manager or DJ will give me a raise.
"Where is it?" Zack asked and I was about to go to work. So we can take one road.
I cheerfully replied, "Come, I'll show you. But, this will be the last place I'll show you."
"Why?"
"Because it's my place of work" I said as I made my way to the cafe.
After arriving, I offered him to stop by because who knows he hasn't had lunch yet. When Zack agreed, I asked him to enter the cafe from the main door as a customer. While I will enter through the special door of the clerk behind the cafe. Actually I'm too late. But, yeah, that's it. At least I have the courage to face the manager because I have dealt with him, even in a different world.
Sherly greeted me with a greeting, but I did not rush to change uniforms into the bathroom. Then, as soon as I darted into a position as a customer greeter at the door.
"Welcome to the cafe clair de lune." I chanted a greeting as the door opened and found out that Zack was the customer. Shouldn't he have gone inside already?
Just the usual days I was running as an employee and nothing impressed me at all. Kai is a cleaner service. Megan, Sherly and River, as waiters. I'm on guest-welcoming duty. Kurt is a chef and Vin becomes a barista as well as a cashier keeper. In a cafe as small as this, our numbers were already included enough.
Within minutes, Zack left the cafe without giving me a face code. I mean, like a smile, a glance or a small speech. I shouldn't be surprised, because we're still in a foreign phase.
In short today in serving customers to completion and all employees are given daily evaluations after the cafe closes. It was quite exhausting despite just standing for a long time in front of the door.
"Hey, Ashley." Kai greeted and embraced me as he stepped outside the cafe to go home. "Let's dinner with me."
Just like before, Kai is my childhood friend who has a hobby of expressing his love to me. Impressive childish and I consider it a mere joke from him.
"Gue wasn't invited?" chirps River that appeared from behind me.
Kai pointed at River who looked very funny as he said, "Lo was not invited. Hush-hus!"
River who was annoyed with Kai's words had made me laugh a little. I patted River's shoulder. "I'm taking it, come on. We're going to the ramen shop."
I used to adjust my speaking style to each of my dialogue opponents. But, naturally I'm not like that.
"Come on, Ley." Now it's River who's embracing me.
Pad finally Kai who changed into annoyed and grumbled. Of all the Kai that I found, never missed the kocaknya nature that is very different from River. Two funny brothers.
We were just half way to get to the destination, accidentally my eyes saw from under Zack who was in the top garden. Without missing a chance, I immediately darted away to approach him.
"Ashley, where are you going?" Kai shouted and was about to catch up with me.
I looked up at the two of them. "I have business, you guys go first!"
My feet run fast. Not for fear of being chased like before, nor for fear of being arrested. But a matchless cheer as well as an impatient reaction to approach what I am about to go to. What and who else could make me like this if not Zack! A feeling I've never experienced before. Not strange, but opium. Maybe because of my true nature in this world that returned with old memories, then mixed with my happiness while still exposed to amnesia.
This is my life, without gloom and fear. I, Lilian Ashley, a carefree girl who had never known the dark side of the world before, was suddenly treated to all sorts of horrors in a state of memory loss. I've been through, I remember and I planted it in my brain deep.
Now, it's my turn to reverse what Zack has fought for before, which is our love story. Not only that, including permanent togetherness.
After climbing the steps of the stairs amounted to quite a lot, the breathing force that has been panting by inhaling oxygen greedily. This shameful thing had been seen by Zack up close and as I looked at him, his face reflected confusion over my presence.
"I saw you from a distance. So I'm here!" I said while putting on a big smile.
"Just because you saw me, you came to me?" Zack looked at me in search. "What's wrong?"
There was no excuse I prepared when this question was asked. Immediately I racked my brain to answer so as not to be considered as a strange person who likes to be familiar.
An awkward feeling spread through my body as I said, "I feel like I know you before. So therefore I am here for ... to get acquainted! Yes, meet."
It seemed like my behavior was too ridiculous in front of him.
"Have you ever seen a dead man?" Zack asked and kept me quiet in nervousness.
My answer depends on the end result of our closeness. I said, "As long as I live, I never have. Hopefully it won't. Why ask like this?"
"No, I'm sorry I asked you that." Zack smiled in response. "I'm Zack. You're Ashley, aren't you?"
"How did you know?" I gasped as Zack mentioned my name. Is he the Zack I knew before?
"Maybe you can suggest to your boss to minimize the employee's business card" replied Zack who disappointed me with the prediction.
He turned his body back towards the guardrail, then took out a small camera and photographed the cityscape. He used to say that his profession was a photographer. It may be a side profession, or it is actually just a hobby.
"You're a photographer, huh?" I asked the question by acting so cocky to the point of trying to peek at the results of his shots.
Zack showed the results he caught and smiled proudly as I reacted in awe. "Yes, this is my livelihood."
My feet stepped back and I pressed a smile with confidence. "Then, let's take a portrait of me and pay the price."
My request was granted and Zack lifted the camera to prepare for the picture. Both hands I put behind my back and I cuddled as my way of posing.
The fleeting flashes of light have meant the end in photographing myself. Immediately I approached and peeked at the photo.
"Is it good?" Zack showed me his picture.
The astonished reaction began to hold back when I saw the exact same photo that Zack had shown me. The photo he showed me to believe his explanation, and the one that burned in my nightmare for the first time.
"Less, huh? Maybe I'll repeat ..."
"Wait!" my sergeant hastened to cut off Zack's words. "Well, really!"
Zack smiled at my compliments. "Thank God."
I rummaged through the bag before saying, "How much do you want to get paid?"
"No need," Zack said in a stiff tone. "I'll give you this photo."
"really?" My eyes sparkled when I heard her words which gave me the opportunity to push my phone while asking. "How many cell phone numbers are you?"
Zack started smiling awkwardly. "Actually I'm going to give this photo a print version, not a digital one through a message."
If it doesn't give me a digital path, it means he needs my address to send me the photo.
Soon I took out my apartment address card to him. "That means you need my address. Here, take it."
Silent for a moment, as if something was wrong with my attitude to make Zack look at the old card that is still in my hand.
"Don't you think twice about giving me a residential address?" asked Zack who was looking at me fixedly.
"No need." I shook my head without letting out a smile on my lips. "I trust you, and why doubt?"
This guy in front of me wouldn't hurt me if I hadn't hurt him first like before.
"Just meet for a day, can you trust me?" Again there was a doubt on Zack's self in digesting my words.
Had I been able to prove that we had met more than that, perhaps our approach would have been quicker without this kind of awkwardness or hesitation.
'I trust you, Zack. From the beginning and until now.' That's the sentence I want to say, but only to the mind that is impossible to hear by him.
I decided to answer, "Why? Don't you trust me?"
Reversing the question is the solution.
Zack chimed in on his answer before saying, "It's not like that. It only felt strange to me when I met a new person who tried to get along in such a short time."
Yeah, I would also be worried if I met a familiar person and tried to approach me using all means.
"Nothing." My hand patted Zack's shoulder. "I don't bite, really."
It hit my brain about the sleep schedule changes I had made before. It's natural for me to forget because I'm still a little bit adapted even though this is my real life. Now I can't sleep too late, my eye bags can get dark and ugly. The manager or DJ has warned that appearance is the most important thing. It's ridiculous if I can cut my paycheck just for having panda eyes.
I quickly thought hard about how I could meet Zack the next day.
"In addition to being a photographer, what else are you busy with?" ask me who from the beginning already knows about the answer.
Zack looked up like he was confused to answer. "I'm a painter."
"Good, dong!" I said with great enthusiasm. "I have a hobby of painting. Maybe you can judge my work on campus. You remember my college, don't you?"
Zack nodded for a moment.
"Well, come to my college tomorrow! I'm waiting for." I turned around and walked away to go home. "Don't forget, yes, Zack!"
A breath of relief was exhaled and my chance to continuously meet Zack would always be my best to obtain. Sure and sure.
