Deja Vu [ Lilian Ashley ]

Deja Vu [ Lilian Ashley ]
4. The Killer

as time went on, I was able to do the entire job smoothly.

Really tiring. I think that the daily tip money as well as the monthly salary from the job will be used to pay for college and daily life. I just remembered that there was no clue about my own family. Am I living a kara?

"It's finally time to go home" said the girl in a ponytail and super cheerful personality who had welcomed me.

The name tag says, "Sherly."

The clock shows right at the number ten and a card that says, "close." has been displayed at the entrance.

All the employees started to change clothes to get ready to go home from this bone slamming place. There was one thing that made my curiosity rustle. Since then, I have not visited the main kitchen where the place to cook heavy dishes in this cafe.

I looked at the kitchen area that Kurt was cleaning in wearing a black apron and was different from the other employees. It seemed, he was the special chef in this cafe. The appearance is quite unique, the hair is tied to a manbund style and not too long and looks so summarize the appearance so as not to disturb the view. Unintentionally, I nudged a glass on the table to make a noise that provoked Kurt to look at me.

"I'm sorry" I said as I leaned over and picked up the broken glass on the floor. Achishnya, my finger was scratched.

The glasses that were perched on Kurt's face began to be fixed position. He came to me before saying, "Sit in that chair, let me pick it up."

There is no other option but to say sorry. If I were stubborn enough to pick up the broken glass, my other fingers would get hurt. Not long after Kurt finished picking up the broken glass that came from me, then came up to me while carrying a P3K box. He sat down next to me and treated my injured finger using betadine medicine and bandaged it with plaster.

God, I feel guilty for bothering him.

"Not usually you're careless" Kurt said with a flat face that seemed jutek, but his attitude was so considerate. "Don't repeat it."

The same thing repeated again. The view that began to fade, the voice of my interlocutors had sounded hoarse and disguised. Sudden change of place. Again this happens.

This time, I was lying on the bed, but not in my own room. Seen from a short distance away, Kurt was carrying a tray of food and drink while walking towards me wearing an ash apron. His face was smiling, just as it had been seen before at the lakeside location.

Something is strange. The jutek-looking man was being sweet, as if that day was his first happiness.

Everything went back to normal as usual in an instant. Slowly, I blinked my eyes and ventured to ask.

"Emc ... Kurt. Have I been to your house before?" I guessed at the origin.

Kurt looked up at me with a frown. Perhaps, he was more suited to be a killer lecturer than a chef.

"No, never."

Not ever? Was the place I saw just now not located in his house? Or, wasn't that a fragment of my memory?

"Oh so yes," I replied with an awkward smile.

"There are your questions" he answered, then stood up and placed the P3K box in the top drawer.

Good thing, my finger treatment is done.

"Thank you, I'll go home first."

Not getting a response from Kurt, I could only give up on his indifferent attitude, and stepped outside the cafe after changing clothes. When opening the back door, there was a noise that so provoked me to watch it.

The road to the outside of the cafe and the back door was like a small alley about two meters wide. As for the length from end to end, I guess it was only six meters. I stepped forward and found that the sound of the quarrel was right at the mouth of the alley. There were two people standing there.

"Damn it! This time I'll lose elo and make you die here!" shouted one of the squabbling personnel who sounded his emotions so burning.

"Cih, belagu. I can do it."

"Can dong! I've brought a gun."

Did I not hear wrong about the word gun?!

I focused my eyes and was surprised to see that the two were my lovers and River was facing the face of hostility. To make matters worse, my lover was entering his hand into my shirt indicating that he was going to pull out a weapon. Will they fight here? It should not be because it is very dangerous, and they should be prevented!

"Not be arrogant! Let's show!"

I screamed to stop them and try to run as fast as possible. Please, I hope I get there in time.

The moment I stood in the middle of them, this breath became hard to control. Running was really draining and made me gasp.

"Lo why, Ley?" ask my girlfriend with a confused face.

"Yes, stop what?" River asked no less confused as he looked at me.

They were really upsetting when they pretended that I didn't hear what they were up to.

"You guys want to fight, right? So, what was that gun?" my sergeant with a panicked look.

The man with the identity of my lover also laughed loudly, while River only shook his head slowly while patting his forehead. Why did the atmosphere suddenly become liquid?

"Bused, me and River just want a suit. Not fighting," my lover stopped his laughter. "Where might we be fighting a thump."

"Si Kai is soft. Where might I want to fight." River responded with a mocking element.

Kai. My girlfriend's name is Kai.

"Then, what was that gun?" my answer uses a reciprocal question.

"That's my secret cheating way, no one should know" said Kai as he stroked my hair. "Enough, let's go home. I'll pull it off, Riv."

My face must have started to blush because of the embarrassment of having been mistaken.

We walked together on the side of the road that was not so crowded with vehicles. Susana is so peaceful and beautiful with many trees embedded in the surrounding. It was great to live in this city.

"After this, what event? Want to go with me?" Kai asked me. "If there's none, we're dinner outside, yuk."

"No show," I replied.

We stopped at a traffic light that still showed the red marked vehicle still allowing pedestrians to pass by in crossing.

For the umpteenth time, my vision began to blur again. Things like this come back again. The atmosphere changed and I was like I was blown away and moved in the blink of an eye.

A bonfire and stones all around. Some marshmellow skewers are being baked on top of it and waiting for it to go blank. I who was sitting on the ground, began to shed tears that had unconsciously wet my cheeks. My head turned and found Kai scribbling the ground using a small wooden branch with a grim face. Furthermore, a murmur was heard at a glance by me.

"Gue killed lo boke."

I was shocked.

My bokap? So, my bokap absence was caused by Kai? Then, where's my nyokap? I really felt devastated when I heard from the mouth of the man who was my lover had a secret so terrible.

Killer, I'm in a relationship with a psychopath. This is a memory that might give me a stern warning to stay away from Kai as soon as possible.

In the end, everything came back to being as it was. However, my tears still flowed as in the incident earlier.

However, earlier I asked about the exact location in the memory of Kurt. And then the man denied me. So, Kai is still not certain to have done a heinous thing, which is to kill. However, Kurt could have lied about my question earlier.

Possibility ... Kai hides his bad nature while with me. Aren't all criminals two-faced?

It could be that, when Kai was with River right at the mouth of the alley earlier, they really wanted to fight. However, I managed to catch them until they canceled it and reasoned for a child-like suit.

I had to save myself and not want to be like my father.

Without thinking much, my feet immediately stepped up to escape from Kai. However, my actions were a mistake. At the same time, there was a loud horn. Spontaneously my head turned, then found a car that was rapidly galloping towards me.

"NO! PLEASE, NOT AGAIN!"

From all the panicked screaming sounds in watching me, I heard clearly a voice that sounded very familiar. No, this isn't Kai. That voice belongs to someone else, but who is he to make me focus on his own voice? So, what does the word 'again' mean'? Has he ever seen anything like this before to say a sentence accompanied by the ambiguous word?

So clear, I could hear the sound of panicked screams that were so echoing from the people around. In the end, all my world went dark.
