"Sar, Jun how are you? How long hasn't it looked like her nose since your engagement?" Kartika again shifted the conversation to Sari. I don't want my guests to feel neglected.
"Jun is still in school taking a budhe specialist. Somewhat far away the campus in Jogja UGM so rarely go home indeed. Especially now that it has started to get round guard in RSUD, it is getting harder for the holidays to go home." Sari tells the story of Jun, her fiance since a few months ago. As well as telling the reason why Jun never saw the trunk of his nose.
"Away ya in Jogja take what he is? why didn't you take it in Uner just let deket?" Erwin asked in wonder.
"Take the Oncology pak dhe, yes how else he got there. Previously tried tests at UNER failed, not the fortune there means. Eh pas nyoba at UGM even penetrated. Yasudah walked aja later will also graduate as well," Sari again explained.
(Oncology is a branch of medical science that focuses on cancer).
"You guys did majored in school, how hard is it all so hard? Mas Mahes who take per-dependence, this even mas Jun also take per-kangkeran." Linggar expressed his opinion as a layman who does not understand the medical world. "The disease is serem-cerem all that is taken."
"That's what it's like, nagging. The more severe and difficult to handle, the more challenging it is to be cured at any cost." Mahes explained his perspective on the disease.
"That has to do with the lives of people. Horrified ah if it is likened to exclaimed or ngaknya."
"Either that. Life and death have all been arranged. We as doctors consider it as God's intermediary to help provide healing. Our job is just to try, well the name of the business needs encouragement too right..."
"Yes yes, but I don't really go back to hahaha." Linggar just gave up facing Mahes with all his weirdness. Won't win also argue against him, lose brains, lose experience too.
"Long time is it Jun's college?" Kartika still Kepo asked about Sari's fiancee.
"The study period is seven semesters if it is smooth. That means about a year and two years." Sari explained patiently.
"Eh Sar, Rangga heavy huh? here change the carrier. Must be tired of carrying this puffer." Laras takes Rangga, his son from Sari's sling.
As well as being a diversion, Laras knew Sari must have felt uncomfortable talking about her engagement. Surely later the ends will be asked when the marriage is also right? It's really annoying for his sister-in-law.
"Hahaha, I didn't see you for a minute like this. What do you eat, baby?" Sari pinched the second squash of Rangga's cheeks.
"She's eating, like her Linggaran. Any food comes in, won't be rejected." Laras explained to Sari about her son who was eating. Since starting to eat MPASI after the age of Rangga stepped six months.
"The time is similar to Linggar? Where are you trying to see? Rangga here o'm kissing." The flag suddenly stood near Laras. Linggar deftly stole a kiss from Rangga's cheeks right and left before Laras could prevent and protest it.
"It's your habit, haven't washed my son's face, kiss my son" Laras nagged while wiping his two cheeks with a wet tissue. It was as if Linggar's kiss was full of a deadly virus.
"Hahaha you're bad." Linggar even laughed more happy to see the behavior of Laras.
"I'm hungry, not ready for lunch yet?" Ardi wants to end the talks soon. Want to immediately switch from the living room to the dining room to fill the stomach as well. Ardi knew very well how unpleasant it would be for Sari to talk about such an overly private matter in public like this.
The same problem he often faces himself. Wherever it is and meet anyone, especially from the family, always being asked about a partner. And the ending is always asked when the marriage. A classic question that sucks.
"They should be ready, Mom, just a minute." Kartika managed to distract him. Jump from the sofa ahead to the dining room.
Laras entrust Rangga to her Nany, telling her to put Rangga to bed in her baby box in the upper room. Then Laras took Sari to the dining room as well. See and help her mom in case there's anything left to prepare there.
While Erwin, Ardi, Mahes and Linggar, the men are still cool in the living room. Watching television together who happened to be airing a GP500cc motorcycle race match. Talking about the riders, the bike, until the company that shelters them. Favorite conversation of course.
Shortly afterwards Sari called the group of men when the dish was ready to be served at the dinner table. They also took a seat around the oval-shaped dining table. Fill each plate with a variety of dishes available at the dining table. Luxury dishes that are too many kinds and numbers to eat seven people only.
The lunch procession was smooth and quiet. There was no talk or chat until everyone finished the meal on their plates. After the spoons and forks are placed then they have a light and friendly conversation about some light topics that are fun to discuss. While occasionally eating fruits or desserts are also available at the table.
After all the lunchtime procession was over they continued in a friendly manner again on the sofa of the courtroom. Until not long after, Sari resigned. Mahes and Laras also resigned, because baby Rangga needed a break. It was over time playing.
I also want to continue her delayed sleep. Pas really full stomach is indeed drowsiness only. Let's change the TV later who watches him sleep.
"Ma, he said he wanted to talk to Ardi? Tu mumpung his people again relaxed watching TV, ajakin chat." Linggar approached his mother who was helping auntie clean up in the kitchen.
"Where's papa? Should I be taught too?" Kartika was a little hesitant. Confused also how to start a conversation with Ardi later.
"No need, later Linggar aja who became the mediator in case it is needed. Let papa stay rested in the room," Linggar advised. "You guys talkin' in the first place slowly between mother and son."
Kartika approved Linggar's speech. Sometimes it is also surprising that this Linggar is the youngest but really often gives useful input. Perhaps it is such a young, brave, fearless soul that can move anyone's heart.
Kartika walked slowly towards Ardi who fell asleep on the sofa in the middle room. Linggad also followed his footsteps from behind. Not too close, Linggar chose to observe from afar only.
Once he got near the sofa, Kartika found Ardi who had fallen asleep. Kartika takes a seat on the same sofa as Ardi, right next to her. He saw the sleeping face of his son. I don't know how long he's never seen Ardi's sleeping face again. Peaceful sleeping face as if without burden, the face of his handsome son of course.
Kartika looked more closely at her son's face. He could see Ardi's face looked exhausted and a little pale. Thick eye bags hang in both eyes, and a blackish color is also seen around his eyes. How long have you been sleeping less, son? How long have you been torturing yourself like this?
Kartika felt very sad, did not have the heart to see the situation of his son. Are you suffering so much, son? Are you not happy? Did mommy make you come like this? A sudden tightness and pain filled Kartika's chest, guilt and sadness mixed into one.
Without realizing it his hand was outstretched to touch his son's face. Swiping and gently stroking his forehead, cheeks and face with one palm of his hand. Once, twice and many times.
Ardi slightly disturbed and woke up from his sleep which was not yet soundly. She could feel something caressing her face, so soft and warm. The real comfortable sensation to continue to sleep.
But Ardi's curiosity overcame his drowsiness. Who could give such a touch of warmth to her? Slowly Ardi opened his eyes which still felt very heavy.
Ardi was so shocked when he saw the very unexpected face by him being so close to his body.
"Mommy?..." Ardi asked in astonishment as he opened his eyes, realizing who was before him, caressing his face with his palms that felt soft, full of warmth and affection.
Even more shocked when he found the face of his mother who looks looking at him with a sad and worried look. Even Ardi can also see his mother's eyes are already glazed. Like covered in cloudy clouds that are ready to pour rain water.
Ardi hurriedly got up from his sleeping position, wanting to straighten his body to get up and sit on the sofa where he had slept. For a moment Ardi forgot that he was not allowed to rise from a sleeping position so suddenly.
Nyuuut. A moment but surely the sensation of dizziness and swirling back attacked his head. Makes him suddenly lose the orientation of the body and the surrounding conditions. Makes his body feel like it is floating in the air for a moment.
Quickly Ardi looked for a grip to the back of the sofa to hold his weight so as not to topple over. This is a normal symptom that he often experiences when his blood pressure is dropping or too low. Things that often happen if his body is in a state of extreme fatigue like now. Like a natural alarm that indicates that his body is already on the verge of limit and must be immediately rested.
"The ardi? Why are you, son?" Kartika asked worriedly looking at her son's situation which looked a little strange.
"No pa-pa kok ma. Just a little dizzy." Ardi replied, not wanting to make her mother worry more about her situation. Ardi closed his eyes for a moment to slightly relieve the dizziness in his head.
"You must be sleep deprived, right? You must be all-out overtime again? How's your diet? Do you eat nutritious food? Isn't it just junk food eaten? Why can't you take care of your own body? What if you are sick? Look at that body of yours, skinny, pale, panda eyes. Not very well." Kartika nagged her son at length so worried to see the state of Ardi who did look unhealthy.
"No, I'm not pa-pa, ma," replied Ardi.
"Have you checked with the doctor? What pain did he say? Or have you asked for a prescription from a doctor? Same Mahes? Same Laras? Your sisters are doctors, why don't you go check on them?" Kartika continued the nagging so worried about the state of Ardi.
"Ma...Ardi is pa-pa. Ardi is healthy, just tired and needs a lot of sleep. Abis sleep ntar must also be healthy again." Ardi smiled at the reaction of his mother. I don't know why it felt like there was a deep longing for her mother's nagging.
