Chapter 13 - The Cold Palace

Arriving at the cold palace, Qing Er immediately asked Servant Chun to prepare all her bathing needs. It must be known, the cold palace that Qing 'Er lived in was only a building that was already unused. Usually this building was used for concubines who were no longer favored by the emperor, but ever since the Qing' Er filled the cold palace this palace had completely changed for the better and taken care of. Moreover, Yuan Shi did not just let his empress who was also his childhood best friend stay there if the circumstances were not worth it.

"Yuan Shi!" growled Qing 'Er.

"Empress, obviously this is not the emperor's fault. It was indeed our fault that we were unable to keep the queen" said Waiter Chun.

"I'm sorry, because I got you guys punished. I'll give you an ointment to treat your wounds as soon as possible. You can wait for me outside!" Qing Er was stunned.

On the other hand, Wu Zetian was visibly furious at the news of Yuan Shi carrying Qing 'Er went to his bed last night so he went straight to the queen mother who was none other than his aunt to help him get in the way of the two people's relationship that seemed to be getting closer. Ji fell silent, once again he could feel something strange about the person he loved. The man still remained firmly holding Qing'Er and again held Qing's wrists tightly. "Don't you say you don't want to be next to her anymore?"

"Qing' Er..." Ji was speechless to see Liu Qing waltzing away from him.

Qing Er returned to the side of Yuan Shi who was waiting for her inside the horse carriage. The woman immediately boarded the horse carriage with an unsightly look on her face, Yuan Shi who noticed it instantly noticed the Queen's expression and started teasing her. "Is Qing Er angry?"

"True, to the point of devouring humans." It was Qing Er's growl that made Yuan Shi laugh instead.

The man stroked the hair of his empress gently. Qing Er turned her head towards Yuan Shi, with her quick hands Yuan Shi pressed down Qing Er's neck and fused their two lips together on such an intense kiss. Qing Er's eyes were wide open, the difference this time was that she did not push Yuan Shi at all and instead enjoyed every little bite her emperor gave her.

Not long after, someone stopped the emperor's horse carriage and she was Consort Wu Zetian. "Stop the horse cart!"

Hearing that, the emperor and queen let go of their kisses then Yuan Shi gently touched Qing Er's cheeks and immediately moved to look outside the horse carriage. Emperor Yuan Shi stood gallantly outside the carriage and looked at Consort Wu Zetian who was standing near his carriage.

"The Queen Mother said Brother Yuan also had to take me to see a new restaurant, because my family was instrumental in the construction of this restaurant. So does the emperor not mind taking me with you?" ask Consort Wu Zetian.

Yuan Shi grunted softly. "Guards, prepare a new horse carriage for Consort Wu!"

"Sister, I'm so scared to take the train alone. What if I go with my sister?" Wu Zetian whined shamelessly in front of all the soldiers and servants who were coming along. He deliberately did so knowing Yuan Shi would not refuse his request because of the queen mother.

Not long after Qing Er went outside and stood beside Yuan Shi. All eyes were on the beauty of the empress who now crossed her arms in front of her chest and said. "Of course, Brother Wu can come in our car, more people are better. Right, emperor?"

Yuan Shi glanced sharply at Qing Er as if displeased that her empress allowed Wu Zetian to enter the carriage. However, Qing Er instead grinned and deliberately mocked Yuan Shi. "Alright, because the empress has allowed it. Consort Wu can come aboard, "the emperor replied with a heavy heart.

Wu Zetian furrowed his brows, he felt annoyed that all this time he had never had to ask anyone's permission to be with the emperor. All the soldiers and servants praised the greatness of the queen's day for allowing Wu Zetian to board his chariot with the emperor.
