Chapter 22 - The line between earth and heaven

The soft glow of the full moonlight adorning the beautiful night for the two, Qing Er and Yuan Shi walked hand in hand through the palace corridor towards the garden. Under the shady trees, Qing Er stopped her steps and turned to look at Yuan Shi.

"What did Qing Er prepare for me?" yuan Shi asked as he slipped his hair behind Qing Er's ears.

Qing Er took out a rare jade that she bought from the system in a short time to attract the attention of the emperor. Yuan Shi grabbed the jade and directly hugged Qing'Er in his arms, then watched the woman closely.

The full moonlight from the side illuminated Qing Er's eyeballs, an image of a person faintly becoming clearer and clearer until Qing Er felt a sudden headache strike her. Liu Qing lowered his head as he pressed his head firmly, Emperor Yuan Shi looked so panicked and directly called out to the servants to meet them.

"Servant!" in that quiet garden.

Prince Beiming who was not far away heard Yuan Shi's call so he went to see the emperor quickly. Liu Qing had already fainted in Yuan shi's embrace, when Yun Shan came the emperor immediately brought Qing Er to the room that belonged to him. Yun Shan walked behind Yuan Shi, then Servant Chun who saw the state of his queen followed behind the emperor.

Arriving inside Yuan Shi's room, Liu Qing was directly examined by Yun Shan. The man pressed his thumb against Qing' Er's wrist vein, Yun Shan furrowed his brows in astonishment as he was unable to sense the powerful energy previously present on this body. The Emperor looked so panicked waiting for Prince Beiming to speak up. "Your Majesty, I can't feel his pulse."

Emperor Yuan Shi widened his gaze at Yun Shan sharply, he pushed Yun Shan with all his might and threatened the man. "After all, heal Qing' Er if it doesn't work then your life is at stake!"

"All right, Your Majesty. The servant will do it as well as possible, but the servant needs time and no one should interfere. This can take quite a long time, because the servant will do the acupuncture technique." It was obvious that Yun Shan was not as well as conveying that he would also channel energy into Qing' Er's body to bring her back.

"Do as you can, if for the next two hours Qing' Er is unconscious then I will take her back to Yuanqing and you prepare to accept your punishment!" In anxiety, Yuan Shi's mind was no longer able to digest him properly. He did as he could even if he had to exchange the lives of others for Qing' Er he would do so easily.

"Please Your Majesty wait outside!" the Pinta Yun Shan.

After Yun Shan made sure everyone was out of the room, the man immediately pricked the acupuncture needle into the vital part of Qing' Er's body. Occasionally pressing the woman's pulse that has not shown its appearance. Nemo the system then comes and sees the unconscious Qing Er.

"Why did this happen?" he asked while trying to connect Su Mian's soul, but still nil.

"Prince Beiming, why did Miss's soul disappear?" nemo asked in a panic that no one could hear.

Yun Shan made Qing Er sit down so that she could drain the energy into the woman's body. Right in the other realm Su Mian woke up, he did not know clearly where he was. However, the gentle atmosphere and the wind that was sweeping his cheeks felt strange.

Now, his gaze was fixed on a woman floating unconscious, apparently the exact same as Liu Qing. But his condition was quite alarming, he did not move at all and looked weak. It turned out that the realm that Su Mian entered was the line between earth and heaven which was the line that was the cause of Qing 'Er's soul not being in her body.

Su Mian gasped and grew even more confused as he was unable to contact Nemo or the outside world, not long before a bright greenish-colored light dazzled his eyes. He closed his eyes from the light. When he opened his eyes again, he returned to the mortal world.

Qing Er woke up and looked at Yun Shan who was holding an acupuncture needle in her hand. "What are you doing?"

"I call back your soul from the rest of the energy you left behind!" yun Shan replied as he stood up and packed his things.

"I owe you my life, the next time I will definitely repay you" Qing Er said as she tied her ropes.

"No need to think about it, just by not changing anything that should have happened it's better!" timpal Yun Shan's.

Liu Qing smirked. "It's not your domain to regulate what happens and doesn't happen, I'm just doing my mission and I hope you don't interfere with this."

"It is up to you, but everything that goes outside the path of destiny must have a big risk. I just don't want this to affect the world that it should!" Yun Shan turned around then stopped his steps. "The emperor waited for Her Majesty The Queen in a panic the servant would let her in to see the queen's own state," Yun Shan said coldly then out of the room.

Yuan Shi looked at Qing Er who had woken up, her face looking pale from worrying about the Queen. The man sat down in front of Qing Er then grabbed her female hand, looked into her two eyes while saying. "Never dare to leave me again" Yuan Shi said.

"You're overreacting, I'm just exhausted." Qing Er smirked softly.

Yuan Shi nodded then gently dyed the back of the empress' hand. "It's late, let's sleep because tomorrow we have to visit the Beiming Mountains and see the harvest. However, if Qing's 'Er fatigue is better in the palace alone."

"Then, if I'm in the palace, are you going to go with your beloved sister?"

Yuan Shi chuckled. "Who else will accompany me if you're sick, other than him?"

"Yuan Shi!" qing Er's growl made the man laugh in satisfaction and distanced himself from the empress.

Qing Er got out of bed and chased after Yuan Shi quickly. "Emperor I'm exhausted" he lamented.

Yuan Shi stopped and stepped forward to confirm Qing Er's condition. "I'm sorry, let's take a break!"

"No way!" Qing Er kicked Yuan Shi's leg until the man fell to the floor. But it was not anger that came out of Yuan Shi but rather laughter that showed his happiness.

Nemo the system who had previously panicked from losing contact with Su Mian, looked at the two sadly by the window while grunting rudely and shaking his head. "They've been drunk on love, I'm just a mosquito that has bad luck hu-hu-hu oh my soul mate where are you?"
