Chapter 27 - Western Exile

The journey into seclusion actually didn't take long, though, however, because the atmosphere inside the carriage was so gloomy and tense after Liu Qing and Yuan Shi's quarrel they felt very uncomfortable lingering there. Yuan Shi still turned his face away from Qing Er as well as Liu Qing who was reluctant to persuade Yuan Shi because he felt it was not his fault.

Both of them were as silent as they had arrived at the Western Exile where Liu Bai was, there were several small bases and the area was not too wide either. Even residents around transact there without going outside the area. Qing Er got off the carriage wearing a beautiful red silk veil, the way she walked made her hips sway to the right and left. Yuan Shi who was behind him gave a rude snort then sped up the pace for the road to go hand in hand with Qing Er.

Everyone is certainly focused on how to dress both, because naturally the slums are rarely highlighted has the highest poverty level of the entire country controlled by the emperor, this is due to the infertile soil. Qing Er walked to find the source of the voice, sure enough when she found Liu Bai, she saw her brother was teaching the underprivileged children. Liu Bai was so shocked when he saw Qing Er behind the silk veil that still exuded her beauty. Liu Bai immediately stopped his activities and walked over while looking at Qing Er and hugged the woman tightly. "Sister Qing, big brother misses you so much!"

Qing Er returned Liu Bai's embrace. "Sir, I miss you too!"

Not long after Yuan Shi appeared to see the familiarity of the two of them, Yuan Shi immediately pulled Liu Bai's hand to escape the body of his empress. "Already," he said as he pulled Qing' Er's waist, a deathly gaze cast on Qing 'Er on Yuan Shi.

Liu Bai who was increasingly surprised to see the sudden arrival of the emperor finally gave a salute which was then replied by a nod by Yuan Shi. "Hamba does not believe, the queen and the emperor came to this place" Liu Bai said.

"Oldest Brother Bai, if you are in trouble in this place do not hesitate to tell me because I really can't bear to see you living in this kind of environment" Qing Er said.

Liu Bai chuckled softly then stroked Qing' Er's hair which was instantly brushed off by Yuan Shi. However, Liu Bai could not protest. "Sister Qing, after coming here you feel more useful than at the home of the father who is all-rounded and served. Here, you can channel the knowledge you have so that the education you have learned is not in vain."

Yuan Shi was indeed not wrong to place Liu Bai in this city, given Liu Bai's above-average intelligence was definitely able to prosper a child who needed a free education and had no fees. But, Qing Er instead piqued sharply at Yuan Shi and looked annoyed.

"Seek the emperor for a reward! You must receive a fantastic fee from him, if the emperor refuses then it can be taken from my monthly money." Qing Er sneered at Yuan Shi with the corner of her lips.

Yuan Shi widened, but Qing Er's remark was indeed not wrong. "If you want to stay here, I will abolish the punishment and turn it into an imperial duty so that all your needs will be guaranteed by the kingdom."

"Certainly, Your Majesty?" asked Liu Bai to make sure.

"Of course, brother-in-law is very noble and the prime minister and all family members have shown loyalty to the emperor. So it would be very guilty if I made you stay here because of a punishment. Moreover, the queen cares about you a lot."

"Hamba is very grateful for the glory of the heart of the emperor and queen" Liu Bai said happily.

"Here you go, that's what you should do!" Qing Er glanced at Yuan Shi then walked past the man and clasped her hands at Sister Liu Bai. "Sister, are there any good snacks here?" qing Er continued with excitement.

"So, would you give it a try?" asked Liu Bai excitedly.

"Qing' Er wait for me!" yang Yuan Shi at Qing Er in front of him.

Liu Bai took his beloved sister to the market, where there are cheap snacks but the taste is no less delicious than what Yuanqing has. "Try this!" pinta Liu Bai's.

"What's this?" Qing Er stared at the pricked and thin-skin-shaped snack dry.

"This is finely mashed meat dried in the sun," Liu Bai replied as he waited for his sister to try.

The snacks devoured by Qing'Er looked like dried beef jerky without reprocessing, the texture was quite hard but the taste of the meat was really rich in spices.

Yuan Shi swallowed his own saliva quite tempted by seeing Qing Er eating it alone. "Can I try it?"

"If the emperor wants the emperor can take a new one" Liu Bai said.

Yuan Shi instantly stared intently at the man and furrowed his brows. "Aren't your students just left behind? Why not continue your activities just let me take care of Qing Er!"

"Hamba is still longing-" Liu Bai's remark came to a halt when he saw Yuan Shi staring at him with a strong look of intimidation. "Emperor is right, Qing Er enjoy your time with the emperor. I finished my activities first, see you!" liu Bai continued as he left Yuan Shi and Qing Er quickly.

"Sister Liu Bai!" yelled Qing 'Er who was not being hounded by Liu Bai.

"Qing 'Er may I try your food?" yuan Shi asked as he drew closer to the woman.

"Here you go, I want to try something else!" Qing Er handed the beef jerky one more bite to Yuan Shi, leaving the man stunned as he shook his head. While Liu Qing waltzed away to the front looking for other snacks to try.

On the other side of the imperial palace, Wu Zetian who had already returned home from Beiming heard the news that had stirred his ears along the road that he passed. About Liu Qing being dubbed as the messenger of the Gods for having solved his problems in Beiming especially facing the cruelty of the Dao Tribe. Regret is of course felt by the Emperor's Beloved Consorts whose prestige is declining.

Wu Zetian clenched his hands tightly. "Whatever God's mouth, more precisely he is a magician!"

"Your Majesty is right, I heard about Prince Beiming being accused of witchcraft by the queen last night." Said his personal servant.

"Ah, really? Interesting, we can get two at once. Throwing one net two fish were instantly caught, as they had conspired to trap you I had to avenge the two more cruelly. If rumors of infidelity spread throughout the country, the emperor would immediately hate his queen right?" Wu Zetian smiled a satisfied smile.

"Concubine Wu is very clever, deserve to be a real queen!" praise his personal servant.
