Chapter 38 - The Death of Ji

The deep sorrow felt by Qing Er, she continued to tightly hug Ji's weakened body. Blood continued to pour from his back and mouth, there was no hope for him to survive. When Xiao Yan brought the healers they immediately flocked to bring Ji to the treatment place. Qing Er who was still in a state of turmoil passed Yuan Shi who was still sculpting, but upon passing immediately the man held Qing Er.

"Listen to me!" the Pinta Yuan Shi.

Qing 'Er shook the hand that was holding her back. "It's all your fault!"

"I really don't know about your parents' circumstances, but if you need help I'll definitely come look for them." Yuan Shi tried to make Qing Er believe.

"Omong empty! I no longer believe what you say." Qing Er said while squeaking sharply.

"You may not believe it, but he will." Yuan Shi fell silent after offending another soul from Qing Er.

"You love her?" qing Er asked meaningfully. "But she's gone, don't expect anything else" the woman said as she sauntered away leaving Yuan Shi.

Yuan Shi furrowed his brows, he did not expect that his little friend knew who he was referring to so Yuan Shi attempted to chase after Qing Er to find out the other soul of the woman's body further. The firm grip of Yuan Shi's hand restrained Qing Er, with a curious look on her face asking Qing Er for a little explanation. At least, what he had seen before was indeed real and not his delusion alone.

"The emperor still has important political gatherings, why should the pursuit of servants go so far?" qing Er asked tightly.

"I-" Yuan Shi's speech came to a halt. "Just want to make sure of a few things!" continued.

"Sure some things? Is it about the soul that supports you so much, helping you solve problems and make out with you using this body?" Qing Er squinted sharply at Yuan Shi.

"He's real?" tanya Yuan Shi made sure.

Your vision is not wrong, the soul figure you may have seen is the soul of another person who entered my body for a secret mission." Clearly Qing Er made Yuan Shi unable to digest it properly.

Trust me, I'm not involved in your family's abduction agenda at all. I'm fully convinced that it was the Queen Mother's plan." Yuan Shi limped in explaining things that Qing Er might have been hard to understand.

"Qing' Er!" Yuan Shi pressed both shoulders of Qing Er. "Am I that cruel in your eyes?" Yuan Shi stared intently at Qing Er.

"What can't the emperor do?" qing Er asked mockingly.

"Is that your judgment of me? I have always respected you, treated you properly. I never touch you if you don't want to. Isn't that enough to prove that I'm not as cruel as you think?" Yuan Shi turned his face away from Qing Er and clenched his hands tightly.

"You want me to believe that you weren't involved in the kidnapping?" qing Er asked with reddened eyes.

Yuan Shi fell silent without a word.

"Help me to find my family even if you have to live your own life!" Qing Er then clasped away leaving Yuan Shi alone.

Not long after, Xiao came to pay his respects to Yuan Shi. He heard half the conversation of Yuan Shi and also Qing'Er earlier. "Your Majesty the Emperor, it won't really go looking for the prime minister's family will it?"

"I'll look for them. Send a thousand soldiers to come with me in search of the prime minister!" the Yuan Shi.

"If the emperor goes how is the palace? Is the emperor sure of all this?" xiao asked to make sure.

"I will make an imperial edict on the temporary transfer of power to Wu Zetian!" pinta Yuan Shi with a heavy heart.

Xiao looked surprised, as he initially thought Yuan Shi would hand over power to Ningshuang. "Why not Princess Ning?"

"Ning is too young, if he is in control it will be easier for the bastards to coup the throne. But, if I hand over power directly to the person they want this will mislead them a little." It was clearly Yuan Shi on Xiao who now understood the purpose of all this. "Strict guard to me and Qing' Er as we search for the prime minister's family. Make some traps to fool the enemy!"

Xiao Yan put on a respectful position and bowed. "Okay, Your Majesty."

Yuan Shi nodded then rushed to the treatment house to see Ji's latest condition. However, just as his steps had just reached there a cry sounded from a voice that of course he was familiar with. Qing Er lamented Ji's departure so deeply, and in Yuan Shi's heart she felt like crying but tears could not come out of her petals.

General Ji is the most loyal and also great among others, his childhood friend and study friend was gone. Such a great regret he experienced, separated the two people who loved each other without feeling.

If all his plans go badly, he has resignedly accepted as a form of heavenly punishment for separating the two men. Yuan Shi walked over and paid his last respects to General Ji's body. Then, he asked Eunuch Huo to secretly prepare the final tribute worthy of being given to the General.
