Chapter 50 - The Night together

The wind blew sweeping away the silence of the night between the silence of Su Mian and Yuan Shi that night. There was no answer from Yuan Shi's statement regarding 'I love you, really.' and indeed it certainly made Su Mian happy. However, the impossibility of this relationship slapped hard on Su Mian's soul.

His main task now was to help Yuan Shi return to the empire safely as well as the body he had borrowed. Qing Er who was currently asleep in the dimension of space and time still had to return to her original body and Su Mian had to return to the future.

"I'll help you get back to the range safely." Su Mian smiled faintly before finally hugging Yuan Shi tightly.

"I don't want to depend on you, I just want you to make sure you're safe!" Yuan Shi replied tightly to Su Mian's embrace before finally hiding his face at the nape of Qing' Er's neck.

Yuan Shi's kiss after kiss withered, but Qing Er's touch made Yuan Shi speechless and returned to the woman's eyes fixedly. "I don't want to do anything without his permission,"

"I see, can I sleep here tonight?" Yuan Shi gently stroked Qing' Er's hair buds before finally being countered with a nod.

"Of course, there's still a lot I want to say to you." Su Mian smiled then pulled Yuan Shi's arm to walk to the existing bed area.

They both rested their bodies after a full day of wrestling with the Queen Mother's assassins. Su Mian lay down in Yuan Shi's arms and wrapped his hands around the man's chest area. While Yuan Shi was still playing around with the empress' hair.

"If you're from the future, you'll know how this all works." Yuan Shi let out a slow breath.

Su Mian nodded then looked up at the man beside him, the look on Yuan Shi's tired eyes also looked sad. "I'm with you, I can't possibly let you lose this battle" Su Mian said as he tightened his embrace.

"So, I will lose against the Wu Clan?" Yuan Shi furrowed his brows then let out a rough breath.

"I have waited for years for this time of vengeance" continued the emperor.

Su Mian no longer replied, he did not want to disappoint Yuan Shi any further. Because, after his arrival a lot of things changed but he does not know for sure whether the past in the future will change or continue to happen as before. But, one thing was certain was that he would fight against the Wu Clan with Yuan Shi until the very end.

The two fell asleep in the arms of each other peacefully, the next morning everyone had gone packing to follow the Qing' Er family into Liu Bai's seclusion. Qing Er who woke up to the sound of people from outside turned to the right and left looking for the emperor. However, it appeared that Yuan Shi had already woken up from him first.

Not long after Qing' Er woke up, Waiter Chun came to bring a bucket of clean water iron to wipe her face and body. Qing Er smiled subtly, a radiance of spirit was within her.

"You left me last night without speaking," Qing Er furrowed her brows then sat down and started washing her face and undressing her outer clothes.

"Please forgive Your Majesty's servant, Emperor Yuan Shi came suddenly and asked the servant to come out of the tent." explained Servant Chun with a lowered head.

"The pill was so magical, everything recovered quickly even though it still had to sacrifice some of the external injuries they had. But thanks to that pill, Prince Beiming was greatly helped." Chun's maid smiled happily then helped her empress undress and wiped her body.

After cleaning up, Qing Er walked outside the tent seeing that everyone was ready to continue their journey. From a distance Yuan Shi brought a cloth then after a few meters in front of Qing Er, the man gave a long-clad hat to Qing Er.

"This hat is to cover your identity, since Xiao has not returned. The queen mother will definitely make it a threat to us, however loyal the man is to my loyal followers, until whenever I will try to find him." Yuan Shi bowed then turned to stare at the Huo Tribe residents who were packing up.

"I ask them to come back, we'll move in with some guards who will later walk apart. We must not be conspicuous, because there are many rumors circulating that the Queen Mother made false announcements to the whole people about me and you." Yuan Shi continued, his countenance looked anxious and filled with the burden of thought.

"Ah again the magician made trouble, just calm down if it's time I will repay all his actions many times." Qing Er clenched her hands in front of her chest making Yuan Shi unable to help the light laughter that came out of her mouth.

Yuan Shi stroked Qing' Er's hair quickly so as to make the woman's hairdo slightly messy. "I'll give it to you!"

"Emperor, I just straightened my hair!" qing Er growled with a frown on her forehead.

Yuan Shi only smiled subtly then extended his hand at Qing Er while waiting for the Su Mian-spirited woman to clasp her hand. As they walked towards the pack of horses obtained from yesterday's battle, Yuan Shi showed Qing Er a beautiful white horse. "This horse is for you, I will ride another horse."

"Isn't this yours?" Qing Er turned her head towards Yuan Shi who was still faithfully clasping her hands.

For some time, the man again stroked Qing' Er's hair gently. "If you want, I can take you with my horse."

"I'd better ride it myself. There was nothing Su Mi-" Qing's remark was cut off when Yuan Shi's lips quickly fused with hers.

The strong pull on the woman's waist area made Qing Er slightly turn, before finally returning the emperor's kiss. Yuan Shi let go of his kiss then looked at Su Mian's eyeballs emanating from Qing 'Er's.

"Didn't you want to cheer me up?" yuan Shi asked as he aligned his gaze with Qing Er. "It could be one way to comfort me" he continued, grinning meaningfully.

"What kind of vulgar statement is that, the emperor should be ashamed for doing it so recklessly!" Qing Er shook her head slowly then walked closer towards Yuan Shi's white horse and gently stroked the horse's long hair.

Yuan Shi was only able to faintly smile, as his mind was still flabbergasted to Xiao who had yet to appear as well. Most likely, the man was indeed in danger but of course Yuan Shi would not allow that to happen.

"Qing' Er, we should hurry up!" yelled Yuan Shi at his empress.
