Chapter 14 - New restaurant

Qing Er chuckled as if intrigued by Wu Zetian's words. But after a few seconds his gaze became flat and sinister. Emperor Yuan Shi who was now in between felt like he was suffocating due to the cold aura of the two people beside him. "really? If Consort Wu wants to know her better I can be your intermediary!"

"Empress!" yang Yuan Shi.

"Sister Yuan, the queen is so strange why did she ask me to betray you? I am the most loyal to you, I have never met secretly with another man unlike Brother Qing?" Wu Zetian hooked his hand at Yuan Shi and leaned on the man's shoulder.

Yuan Shi could only let out a long sigh and closed his eyes for a moment. While Qing Er rolled her eyeballs and sneered at Consort Wu's actions without a sound.

"Does the emperor agree with Consort Wu's words?" Qing Er turned Yuan Shi's face to look at him, not realizing Yuan Shi had instead noticed her lips again and in an instant forgot Wu Zetian's whereabouts.

Qing Er bit her own lower lip, then touched the emperor's chest. "Patience!" he said deliberately to upset Wu Zetian. Yuan Shi regained his senses then shook his head slowly, he was tired of the drama of the women.

Wu Zetian furrowed his brows and squinted sharply towards Qing Er. He understood Qing Er's intentions let alone from up close he saw Qing Er's lip-splitting scratch on the tip of the emperor's lips.

"Tian'Er, this time we will visit the restaurant that has been built from your father's financial aid. So, I hope that you and Qing'Er can stop fighting each other. Honor the empress, after all she is the Queen of the Xia Dynasty!" the emperor said clearly to Wu Zetian.

"But, Brother Yuan-" Wu Zetian's words came to a halt then he immediately turned his face away from Yuan Shi and Qing'Er. He promised, after returning from the restaurant he would report it to the queen mother.

Arriving at the restaurant, the people had gathered outside waiting for the arrival of the emperor and the others. The emperor descended first from the horse-drawn carriage followed by Wu Zetian who was filled with the joyous cheers of the people. The moment Qing Er went outside and showed herself everyone compact fell silent.

"What's the outcast queen here for? What could he do, what a pity the emperor had to carry such a burden." said one of the crowd.

Yuan Shi was only speechless hearing the bad comments regarding Qing Er. He would not dare to give severe punishment to anyone who commented on the queen while there was Wu Zetian watching her.

"Miss Su, I really feel sorry for the original owner of the body. He was insulted like this, but no one defended him" said Nemo who could only be seen by Qing Er.

"What does it depend on others for? I can make them shut up" Qing Er said.

Qing Er stepped forward towards the man earlier. "Sadly, you didn't like my arrival. Whereas here, I want to provide opportunities for you who want to be a supplier of ingredients in this restaurant.

As I know, most of you are potato farmers. In other words, a large amount like this must have made it difficult for you to sell the remaining stock of crops."

"Well, the queen knows very well our predicament," the potato farmer told another colleague.

"Then, what's the solution?" ask the man who initially sneered.

"Queen-" Yuan Shi said stalled, he hesitated at Qing Er's next reply.

"I will make your potatoes a snack, so that the remaining unsold supplies to be staples can still be used as snacks and sold in the market!" Qing Er smiled smugly as well as Yuan Shi behind her.

"The queen is in too much of a hurry, this restaurant is made with the funds of the Wu Family so the queen can not casually enter strangers to become a food supplier!" wu Zetian Protest.

"Concubine Wu, they are the subjects of the emperor and not foreigners. Everything done should benefit the people instead of the stomach itself, if the Wu Family does not agree then I will create a new restaurant next to yours and give the public a chance to become a supplier of ingredients in my restaurant." Qing Er looked at Wu coldly.

"The queen was so confident, the emperor alone seemed to be very surprised by this crazy idea. Don't you want to hear the emperor's opinion first?" wu Zetian asked as he turned to the emperor and grinned.

Beyond Wu Zetian's expectations, the emperor instead agreed with his empress's good idea. "Whatever the queen wants for the welfare of the people I will grant!" yuan Shi replied to Qing Er who was now turning her head and smiling sweetly at him.

"Emperors and queens do care a lot about their people!"

"Thank you very much, emperor."

"Thank you very much, queen."

"We are very impatient to see how to make a snack from the potatoes that the queen means." everyone cheered happily, Wu Zetian seemed annoyed that this time Qing'Er could take over the attention of the people from her.

Unlike Wu Zetian, during Yuan Shi's reign, the Wu Clan gradually took over the emperor's power and made Wu Zetian lead openly. After finishing the commotion, finally officially the restaurant on behalf of Wu Zetian opened. Emperor Yuan Shi asked all his subjects to come to taste the cuisine for free despite the objections in Wu Zetian. He was so disgusted to see the starving people who raided his fancy restaurant like the undead.

On another occasion, Qing'Er was walking towards the top floor to take a look but not long before the pull of a man's hand made her gasp, the man was Ji who was now trying to shut Qing's mouth 'Er so as not to make a sound in the corner of the restaurant.

Liu Qing gave a rude snort, again he had to face this man, but he deliberately put out a little bit of his strength to make Ji understand. Qing Er hit Ji's chest with her inner strength and made the man pushed back up against the wall behind.

Ji furrowed his brows and sharpened his gaze on Qing Er. "You're not Qing' Er!" firmly Ji.

"If I'm not Qing' Er, then who do you think I am?" qing 'Er asked.

"I don't recognize you, my Qing Er wouldn't do something like this. Even we've made promises to leave this country for the territory Yuan Shi is unattainable!" Said Ji with anger.

"General, there's a lot I have to do. This is all regarding the empire, I must support Emperor Yuan Shi completely! Where could I go with you?" qing Er replied with a long sigh. "I'm sorry if I hurt you but Ji, I can't keep that promise" she continued.

"We can, this is our chance to escape from the emperor!" ji said with excitement.

Qing Er shook her head. "I don't want to do it, this could all ruin everything!"

"He is the one who has destroyed us!" exclaim General Ji.

Not long after, the pain began to strike Qing Er's head. It was as if there was an ear-shrinking humming sound until the woman had to bend over and cover her ears. Instantly Qing Er's gaze began to blur and she was unconscious.

"Miss, wake!" pinta Nemo in a panic.

Su Mian started to open his eyes slowly. "Why are we in the dimension of space and time again?"

"It looks like there's a system error, maybe it's because of my unstable condition that your soul was thrown out of the owner's body!" nemo explained.

"All right, now wake me up. We have to finish this mission immediately, I don't want to procrastinate!" su Mian said with excitement.

"Are you sure because of the mission? It's not because-" Nemo's speech stopped.

"It's impossible, certainly not because of Yuan Shi!" said Su Mian.

"I didn't say his name." Nemo Ejek.

Nemo woke Su Mian and sent her back to Qing Er's body. As soon as he opened his eyes, his body was already inside the horse carriage. Beside him was Yuan Shi who was silent without a sound. For some reason, Su Mian did not remember the last incident when he was with Ji. Even the memory of the owner of the body could not be seen at that moment.

After arriving at the palace, Yuan Shi hurriedly left Qing Er and it made her wonder what happened as she was thrown back into the dimension of space and time. Qing Er gave a rude snort and did not want to confuse herself with thinking about useless things, she continued her journey with Servant Chun to the cold palace.

Arriving there, Qing Er immediately asked the servants to prepare some cooking ingredients. Because he misses the cuisine of his time, so this time he will try to make fried chicken krispi that he always misses. After all the ingredients were prepared, Qing Er finally immediately began her experiment in the cold palace kitchen.
