Chapter 62 - Happy day

Quickly Qing Er asked all her sign carriers to move all the way to the palace. Qing Er did not know for sure what the previous soldier would say, but somehow her heart was racing and feeling scared. He was afraid, if the Emperor could not open his eyes anymore and looked at him gently as usual.

All the officials entered the Emperor's room, Qing Er's brows furrowing at what was really happening. Seeing the Empress coming, everyone greeted her and gave her a wide, unobstructed path so that she could enter inside. On the side of Yuan Shi's bed that was engraved with some unique sculptures, Yun Shan stood right up. Qing Er's gaze met with Yun Shan, the man shortly smiled faintly and saluted.

The young man went out of the Emperor's room to let the Empress and Emperor be alone. Qing Er's footsteps were heavy, slowly approaching to the end of her husband's bed. The man still seemed to be asleep quietly. Her tears can no longer be dammed, because of the negative thoughts that have filled her. Not long before Yuan shi's eyes opened, a subtle smile on his face as he looked at Qing Er from her direction lying down.

The Empress exhaled softly and then calmed down before the Emperor. "You can really play me!"

His sobs were heard by Yuan Shi, he slowly changed his position to sit up limped and grabbed Qing Er's chin which was still by his bedside. "I'm sorry, come here!"

Qing Er moved on with sobs that were still wetting her cheeks, the woman hugged Yuan Shi tightly, and vice versa.

"Aah!" a small stub came out from Yuan Shi's lips that endured the pain in his chest from the embrace.

"Sorry," Qing Er frantically released her embrace.

"No need, I miss you so much!" The Emperor hugged his queen tightly and held her in his arms while gently stroking the Empress' hair.

Liu Qing was overjoyed, cries of sadness turned into happiness for him. He no longer wanted to let go of that hug. "Don't ever leave me alone again!"

"No—" Yuan Shi's remark came to a halt. "Never!" continued.

Qing Er looked up at Yuan Shi whom she longed for, her delicate hand touching the Emperor's cheek. The smile implied from the faces of the two emitted a radiance of happiness that was immeasurably like the sun shining in the morning.

"I hear, Xiao still hasn't been found?" yuan Shi asked still with his deep gaze on Qing Er.

"Yes, but the Emperor doesn't have to worry that I've asked General Ye to look for him. Xiao was restrained in the Han Kingdom, they were correlated with the Queen Mother plotting a rebellion beforehand. But the ultimate goal, to unseat the Xia Dynasty and gain its own advantage." Obviously Qing' Er's on the Emperor.

"I'm very grateful to Qing' Er for taking good care of the court as well as the others, but I don't want you to feel tired. Your face..." Yuan Shi grabbed Qing'Er's two hands then kissed her hands gently. "Seeing as pale as before, the look in your eyes is also not as sharp as before. Has Qing Er been having trouble all this time?" asked Yuan Shi in an anxious tone.

Qing Er sighed then smiled. "It's very difficult, to go through the days before without you."

"Qing'Er need not worry, while I'm still breathing I will always keep and lighten your load. How's the baby in Qing' Er's stomach?" Emperor Yuan Shi switched then gently stroked the Empress' stomach.

"He was kind and very active." Qing Er smiled faintly.

"The emperor has just woken up from a vegetative state, does he still not want to rest? Your wounds are not completely dry yet!" Qing Er looked at Yuan Shi with a frown on her forehead while commemorating her man.

The Emperor looked down and disappointed. "All right," he said briefly.

Seeing the look on Yuan Shi's face, Qing Er felt a little pity that she did not have the heart and snorted softly. "Originally the Emperor will cooperate and not move much, I will serve you well!"

Hearing the rare remark from his empress made Yuan shi's eyes sparkle, naturally he would not refuse. The man looked like an obedient puppy and immediately nodded without protesting.

Qing Er smiled at how excited Yuan Shi was to spend time with her. The woman immediately locked the door from the inside then returned to the side of the Emperor's bed, opening one by one her outer clothes, leaving behind a thin garment that showed her perfect poignancy.

By his knowledge Qing 'Er served the Emperor well for approximately 1 shichen. Qing Er's breathing panted unable to hold her increasingly painful waist.

"Is Qing' Er tired?" ask Emperor.

"My waist hurts, does the Emperor not feel satisfied enough?" Qing Er stopped and looked at Yuan Shi.

"Then let's take turns! I'd be very sorry if Qing' Er was sick and exhausted." Yuan Shi grinned subtly towards Qing Er.

A small gust of Qing' Er's breath sounded. "Alright, do it slowly and do not reopen the wound on your chest!"

For a second Yuan Shi easily reversed the situation. The smile on his face could not be removed from the beginning. "This injury is not too much for me, than seeing you trying to be alone."

Qing Er simply felt quite astonished not to be surprised at the behavior of Yuan Shi who became a wild lion after waking up from his sleep. However, he was so happy that his emperor finally returned and made a small debate that he longed for. After spending time together, the two still showed affection in front of all the servants and the others. Enjoy the afternoon in front of the pool while hugging each other as if they do not want to be left behind.

The Empress occasionally looked up at the Emperor, making the concubines feel envious and knew themselves that they could not possibly match Qing Er's sincerity towards Yuan Shi. Also, it was impossible for them to get the affection and love of Yuan Shi that warmly other than that of his empress.

Such a short time, when Yun Shan gave the news that the situation at the border had become very precarious because the Han Kingdom army had reached the border. General Ye was trying to negotiate with the kingdom. Hearing the news of that certainly made the Emperor unsettled, he also intended to go to the border to meet King Han directly.

"Is His Majesty the Emperor sure?" Yun Shan asked somewhat anxiously.

Qing Er who was still among them seemed to disagree. He shook his head and contradicted the Emperor's words. "I'm not letting you go! If they want war then we will welcome them without mercy. There is no need for negotiation!"
