Chapter 35 - Betrayal

The wind swept through the hair of the two, eyes that caught each other. The longing that had been held back for a long time made the hearts of the two beat faster. However, why in Ji's shadow, Liu Qing felt a little strange from the day before. He returned like a figure that his heart had always loved, returning to be Qing Er who looked at him full of excitement and burning turmoil.

"Does anyone want Her Majesty the Queen to talk about?" ji asked and being formal, he realized that his ambition to have Qing' Er had already passed. The last time he saw Qing and Yuan Shi's affection it was painful for him to wake up from the mere wishful thinking he had always been waiting for.

From a distance Yuan Shi who was walking to enjoy the view of the palace while feeling the turmoil of himself staring at the scenery he used to often meet in the corner of the palace. "He won't be happy" Yuan Shi replied as he grunted softly.

"The emperor has not tried it, usually if the emperor comes the empress will directly welcome the emperor." Eunuch Huo smiled bitterly.

"I don't want to bother him," Yuan Shi replied again.

Eunuch Huo nodded but he did not understand at all why the emperor looked glum and uninspired. The search for Yun Shan was still being conducted secretly, hoping that the man could summon back the soul that had previously been in Qing Er's body.

Back at the two people who were still staring at each other without pause, the strangeness Liu Qing caused made Ji even more confused. "I've thought about it, I'll cancel the plan. All the preparations that we have arranged will never be realized."

Qing Er furrowed her brows then grabbed Ji's hand back. "We have long drawn up this plan, everything is ready and we just have to do it. I already don't care about anything that will stand in our way, even if it's Yuan Shi I'll kill him with my own hands.

From the beginning, this marriage was just a political game for him and my father. I just got the rest of their plans, they never even asked about my feelings. Only you care, only you love me sincerely. Ji, please take me away from here!"

At least, if he were to hold Qing'Er back maybe he would know the answer.

"Go back to your new residence, you just occupied it why sneak back here? Don't you like my gift?" yuan Shi asked as he clasped his hands onto Qing Er's shoulders.

"Thank you for the understanding of the emperor, I really like him. Then I will return as long as the emperor will accompany me there." Qing Er replied with a smile.

"Of course," replied Yuan Shi whose anger was now beginning to subside.

In a dimension of space and time, Nemo and Su Mian were already preparing to go back to the future. However, before departure, Su Mian only wanted to see what the original Qing' Er would do to the kingdom and Yuan Shi. After witnessing what happened, Su Mian clenched his hands tightly. "Nemo, he's about to betray the emperor!"

"Miss Su, just let the most important thing be your soul! If we're late then you won't be able to reincarnate." Nemo seemed to be trying to persuade Su Mian to return to the future but the woman looked unsteady as she stared at the monitor screen in front of her watching Qing Er's every plan.

After arriving at his new pavilion, Qing' Er persuaded Yuan Shi to settle down. He prepared for the emperor's needs like a obedient wife like before. Welcoming her warmly but full of falsehood.

"You promised not to betray me!" yuan Shi said as he looked at Qing Er closely while lying face to face with her.

"Hamba is unlikely to betray her own servant husband" Qing Er said. "I've only felt burdened with a marriage that was quite sudden so I was often silent and did not want to get involved in any affairs, but seeing the proof of the emperor's love lately I've become convinced of your sincerity." Qing Er gently touched Yuan Shi's cheek and quietly grabbed a dagger under her pillow with one of her closed hands.

Qing Er drew a dagger slowly then aimed the thing right at the heart of the emperor, quickly Yuan Shi resisted Qing Er's attack. "You broke your promise!" furious Yuan Shi.
