I'm bored.
All day, every day we sat in our cells doing nothing and I thought I was slowly going crazy. Life is so boring and sometimes boredom feels worse than experimentation. OK, that's a lie but you understand what I mean.
I sat on my cell wall and my hands spun involuntarily, creating a mini tornado. Many times I do this without realizing it. For me, it's the same as twirling the pen between your fingers or fidgeting.
Using my strength no longer hurts and now it has become familiar to me. It was fun to mess around and use it into a force of habit. Also, there is always a constant urge from within, the wind is calling to use.
Of course, this has a price. What they called the 'Phase Two' of the experiment was actually just torture. At least for me it was easier to survive compared to Phase One but for others it was much worse. Chen was subjected to Parrilla's torture where he was strapped to a metal frame and electrocuted. Every day they would increase the voltage until he could endure the pain and become resistant to it.
On the first day, he actually nearly killed his doctor. He only told us a few days after it happened, when Xiumin noticed he was assigned to a new one. Even though he was being electrocuted to the point of near death, he felt guilty for it.
If I could use one word to describe Chen, it would be good. Sometimes he is too good for his own good. He cares about people and has become a habit. On top of all his other natures, this one especially shone. Personally, I wouldn't feel sad if everyone in this building was burned alive. That's what they deserve for us.
He said he couldn't hold it or control it so he 'exploded', literally. He said all he could see and feel was lightning, I didn't know what that meant but I nodded as I understood. Unfortunately the doctor, who was nearby, became collateral damage and fried like a crisp.
Chen said he was really surprised he didn't die because his injury was severe. He told us that the scene was terrible and the doctor had obtained many burn scars from the electric shock. However, after that incident they quickly learned how to torture Chen effectively.
Each experiment is designed to fit each individual so that they are all different. Suho was drowned repeatedly for days and Chanyeol was exposed to extreme heat that left burn marks all over his skin. That's when the ability to heal is especially useful. When our results became stagnant, they found more creative ways to inflict pain, ways I could never have imagined.
Every day we would be separated and taken to our different rooms. Only when we all return to the cell can we see the damage they have done to each of us. I want to hurt them as much as they hurt us. It really made my heart ache to see my brothers in pain and I was so worried about them.
Because I was the youngest, I knew they were trying not to burden me but I kept seeing it. I pray every night, asking for salvation and hoping that one day we can escape from this terrible place. More importantly, no one dies before we do.
Feeling bored, I threw my attention away from my horrible thoughts. I noticed Kyungsoo Hyung sleeping in the cell beside me and a pleasant idea came to my mind. I stopped the movement of my hand instead of concentrating on the air around it. My powers are what they call 'Aerokinesis'. Ability to create, use and shape air. That's why I can manipulate the wind because it's the same thing
