At the signal to attack, I felt the air around me and hardened it. Creating a small gust of wind, I pushed the guard backwards with as much force as possible. He fell to the ground, slid a few meters away and dropped the handcuffs with a clanking sound. Here it is, it is time to run.

So that's what I do. I ran through the entrance after Chanyeol who easily incapacitated his guards with a burst of fire and Kyungsoo was right behind me. Others were in front or following shortly after and I saw the van in the distance.

We all ran down the gravel road as quickly as possible, towards our freedom. We just need to get to the van and that's it. That's the plan, it's simple: make a distraction, run, go to the van and make a good exit.

The adrenaline was pumping all over my body and I was running as fast as I could. Although I was tired, I pushed my body to move faster because this was life and death.

I heard the footsteps of the guards who were following us closely and the sound of Vic shouting at them to stop us, but we had already succeeded, we were close enough now that I could feel the victory at the tip of my tongue.

Chanyeol turned around and blew up the flow of flames, effectively slowing down the guards. I could hear their screams behind me, but suddenly, a shot rang out and another one. To my right, Kyungsoo fell to the ground with a shout and I stopped.

Breathing deeply through my diseased lungs, I desperately helped him stand up, propping his body up to my body. Blood dripped down his legs and he whimpered as I pressed him forward. He's been shot and now he's limping, we're slow, too slow.

My heart was pounding on my ribs and I turned to look at Chanyeol on the ground. I think another shot was fired at him.

I gritted my teeth, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in my feet. The bullet embedded in my calf was digging up my bones and I tried my hardest not to make a sound. Although I was almost unstable, I did not dare to move because the gun was stuck to Sehun's forehead.

We have failed and now we are surrounded with weapons aimed at us from all angles. The others managed to advance, but eventually they got caught, ending up in exactly the same position as us.

We haven't planned a set of guards to be placed by the van, even we didn't plan much at all. We didn't have enough time to and I knew it would be too risky, there was too much uncertainty. From the beginning I was against this but it doesn't matter because my opinion has been defeated.

It was stupid, but none of us thought that they had weapons. Now thinking about it, I had seen them before, tied to a guard belt. However, as they were never used or even taken out, it became buried in my mind.

Our abilities might be able to defeat humans but not humans with a gun. Fire, water or lighting cannot stop bullets. Maybe if I was more prepared or actually trained, my elemental strength would be able to block it. Everything is still very new and my reaction is not fast enough. Also, I constantly forget that I even have powers that I can use to protect myself and I am no longer an ordinary human being.

"You shouldn't have run away" Vic said in a threatening tone. My heart beats like crazy from the adrenaline pumping all over my body. I didn't think it was possible but it started working faster, out of fear, when Vic twisted the gun to Sehun's temple in a threatening manner. "I can put this bullet in your head and I won't care if you live or die. Lucky for you, we need you alive but that doesn't mean we can't hurt you."
