The man pulled my sleeve and I looked away while injecting the blue serum into my body. I was surprised how easy and painless it was, the only sting came from a needle. As soon as he finished, he left my side and I heaved a sigh of relief. However, that was when the first scream sounded.
My attention was drawn to the voice and I stared in shock. I recognized him directly from his cat like eyes and funny features, he was Xiumin. She had been lying beside me, but now her body was curved from the bed she was sitting on, twisting in a way I had never seen before.
His muscles bulged against the restraint that secured him and every tendon in his body stretched stiff. I looked red and noticed his fingers were curling so tightly that his palms started bleeding.
However, what really caught my attention was the clear color of his veins. It was an unnatural blue color and was even more prominent in his pale skin. It was as if the serum was dying of his blood. The pain had taken hold of his body and his face was no longer pleasant as his face turned into a pure expression of suffering.
Chaos broke out and screams filled the room. It felt like a chain reaction had occurred and every boy became cursed with the torment that DD suffered.
It started with an amused feeling as the serum slowly spread throughout my body. Something abnormal and unnatural had entered, moved and seeped into my blood. When the foreign particles hugged my cells, I could feel a slight change in my anatomy.
Suddenly, the pain exploded everywhere . I naively thought I had experienced the worst because what I felt before was nothing compared to this. I can't even describe it.
It was not like a kick or a punch, where the pain only affected one area. Instead, every part of my make-up was hurt. My pulse increased rapidly and all I could hear was my heartbeat. I could feel my blood pressure rise as my heart tried to pump blood around my body, at a rate that was too fast. It was overworked and I was afraid it would stop working together.
I felt as if every part of me was torn apart and rebuilt. Something must have changed from the inside and I couldn't endure the pain anymore. I wanted to crawl out of my body and tear my skin from the inside out but I couldn't even think of moving. My mind insisted, convincing me that I was paralyzed but at the same time I could feel my limbs thrashing uncontrollably. I just want to stop but not and I'm afraid never will.
At that time, I hope death will come soon because it will be a blessing. I beg for mercy, to be freed from suffering. Although fortunately for me, I don't think I will survive this.
Out of nowhere, a shadow appeared in my mind, illuminating the darkness from within. The light surrounded me and I looked up to see the brightest stars in the universe shining on me. It was huge and undoubtedly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
It felt very close, too close and I grabbed towards the stars, mesmerized. When I bathed in its brilliance and beauty, I experienced the true feeling of glory but it did not last long. Suddenly, the light widened, becoming too strong, burning directly through me and turning my bones into ashes and dust.
With one last shout, I heard the sound of broken glass and electricity humming.
