I nodded, trying to process the situation. "I have a plan and it involves flooding the whole room but I need protection and I need you to act as a distraction."
"OK, just tell me what to do and I'll make it happen" Lay said confidently. So we quickly drew up a plan and by the time we finished, Kai finally stood up. He looked a bit shaky but that was expected.
I have told Lay that I need uninterrupted concentration, to fill the room, I will need all the focus I can get. Now I was in the middle of the protective circle, not Kai, who started throwing a few punches here and there while the others continued to struggle.
I closed my eyes and raised both my hands on both sides of my body, trying to focus on the flow of water. I could hear him calling me, the sound of the waves filling my ears. I followed the voice from within and I grabbed onto my entire body, feeling a refreshing coolness rising right under my skin. There is something entirely soothing about the sound and taste of water that makes me complete.
My strength flooded into me, clearing the sweat from the battle and draining the fight. The feeling of power before it invaded me and I enjoyed it. I let go of the tight control I had and my body buzzed as I let the water flow freely.
As soon as I opened my eyes, I realized that I had formed two large whirlpools on either side of me. They were spinning in the air, fast like a tornado and it was a spectacular sight to behold. The water looked like an extension of my body and the stream of water flowing from my hand made it grow bigger by a second. Waves of pride formed inside my stomach, remembering when I could only blow an unstable stream of water through my hands and now see what I could do.
Water: substance needs. Elements that fill the surface of the earth are majority and have such beauty. There is a calmness to the water that can soothe one's soul, even in the simple act of a wave washing the beach or pond that acts as a reflective mirror. Yet this was frightening, especially with the chaos of lighting buzzing in the air, rocks flying and gusts of cold wind blowing. The sheer force and momentum that the whirlpool gathered could cause boundless destruction.
Even though this is not my intention. As the water mass increased, my arms became heavier and heavier and my power supply began to dry quickly. The tension on my body became too much and my mind began to crack. With one last shout, I gathered all my energy and threw the water as far as I could.
They hit the opposite side of the room, smashing into the concrete wall like waves against a cliff, losing the shape of the water falling to the ground. The momentum of the force shook the room and then water began to fill it. With so much space to cover, it only reached my ankles but that was enough.
Walking painstakingly through the water only slowed us down a bit and we quickly reached the exit. Before pushing the door open, I said, "none of us can be here for the finale, except for Chen. Make sure no one touches the water or you will be fried. We all know what to do right?"
A few nods here and there were pretty convincing that I needed and I opened the door. One by one we came out of the room and the guards began to notice that we were gone. After putting us through the darkness, they started towards us through the water.
"You got this, right?" I asked Chen and he nodded in response. Clapping his shoulders, I said, "we'll wait for you on the other side. Now turn it on."
He smiled evilly at me and turned around. It was my queue to go and as soon as the door clicked and I ran out of the room, through another door and away from the visible water. Only then did I hear the sound of electricity crackling.
People were crowding outside in the corridor and it was a sight for sore eyes. Their filthy, bloodied and sweaty bodies contrasted with the pure white floor and walls. We looked completely out of place. Breaking the silence, Sehun asked, "it should work, right?"
"certainly. Otherwise, these people would have to be genetically engineered. Actually, I took it back because we were basically genetically engineered and the electric shock still worked on us. They should be ..." Baekhyun.
"Robots?" Lay advised.
