(MM&GL) CHAPTER 18. Pretend Until I Forget Him.

Devan returns home feeling uncertain. Felix's words were so influential. Is it true that he is too tight? Didn't he give everything for Mega? But that woman who still wanted to keep going left him.

However, sometimes Devan also thinks, maybe he is very excessive on Mega. The woman was clearly not going to run away anywhere, because of the condition of her legs are paralyzed, why she felt so scared.

Devan tried to put that thought aside, he immediately entered his house. But he was shocked to see his men crowding in front of his bedroom door.

"What the fuck?" snapped Devan.

Devan was certainly very surprised, he rushed to his room and there was smoke coming out of it. Devan is further shocked, he tries to open the door but it turns out to be locked.

"Basic stupid! What are you all doing here? Get help quickly!" hardik Devan stared at all his men, how could they be cheated like this.

Like a buffalo shuffled by his nose Devan's men immediately ran scattering looking for help. Devan himself tried to break down the door but the result was in vain because the key was very strong.

Devan is getting panicked, he is really afraid that Joana will repeat the events of the past, where Joana will end her own life.

"Exit Sir!" Ken shouted from behind, making Devan surprised. The man looks to be brandishing his gun.

Devan was surprised, he forgot because he was too panicked earlier. He got out of the way and Ken shot the door hinge down.

Instantly the smoke came out from there making Devan cough. Devan rounded his eyes, fighting a cough that felt very tight, he ran into the room.

The room was really very chaotic, the large bed was burned by almost half. Then things were scattered again. What Devan sees is only one, where Joana is.

And Devan finally found Joana sitting under the window whose curtain had also burned a little.

"Mega!" shouts Devan.

Devan immediately ran, grabbing Joana's body so as not to be hit by the fire. But he was surprised to see Joana burning her own body, more precisely burning the tattoo Devan once made on the woman's chest.

"Mega! You crazy? What are you doing?" Devan shouted loudly, he took off his suit to extinguish the fire, fortunately only a few were hit, so it did not burn the body.

Joana laughed like a madman, the woman was mentally already shaken. He pulled Devan's shirt collar.

"You said ... You'll punish me if I remove the tattonya? Now that I delete it, let's punish me," Joana laughed gigglingly.

Devan gritted his teeth, he could smell the alcohol from Joana's mouth. The woman must have drunk her drink in the room and thought about setting the room on fire.

"Araghhhhhhh!" Devan screamed in pain, he distanced his legs immediately.

His legs grew increasingly hot as the fire began to close to him. If Devan doesn't leave soon, his legs will definitely burn. While the curtain is also quite heavy because of the iron part that hit his legs.

Fortunately, Devan's men have returned with emergency extinguishers and fetched water from the bathroom to put out the blazing fire.

"Master, I'll help, you," said Ken extending his hand to help Devan rise.

"No, save him first" said Devan, pointing to Joana, who was still there.

"But your leg is hurt, sir," said Ken very worriedly.

"Don't argue with me, hurry up and save him first" Devan jolted, still able to endure the pain in his leg, he thought more of Joana who had wanted to burn herself, I hope the fire doesn't hit Joana's body.

Ken nodded, he immediately asked the other men to help Joana go and he took care of the mess that happened there.

Before leaving, Joana had seen Devan, the man was really very worried about her, even though Devan himself was injured. Joana's heart suddenly felt confused, why did she not even have the heart to see Devan in pain?

It was late at night when Devan went into Joana's room. The woman received infusions and treatment on her chest that had burned a little. Devan accidentally comes night because he does not want to make Joana afraid to see him.

Devan walked closer very slowly so as not to make a sound. He sat next to the woman. Look at it with an uncertain feeling.

Devan extends his hand to touch Joana's cheek. No one knows what Devan is thinking at the moment, he just looks fixed on Joana's face which he thinks now looks foreign. Not like Mega he's ever known.

Perhaps because of being noticed, Joana woke up, she was surprised to see Devan's face, so she immediately distanced herself.

"Don't go" said Devan holding Joana's hand.

"Don't ...." Joana shook her head, she looked at Devan full of horror, she was afraid that Devan would hurt her again.

"It's me, I won't do anything to you. Sleep again" said Devan, holding Joana's hand, this time not as rough as usual.

Joana was instantly silent, but she stared at Devan's face which was not as creepy as usual.

"Why?" devan asked, feeling that Joana kept paying attention to him.

"I'm not Mega" said Joana, his voice sounding choked because he felt pain in his heart when calling the woman's name.

Devan poked his lips, his face suddenly turning sad. He looked down, once stroking Joana's hand.

"Can't you just keep pretending to be my Mega? I promise I won't hurt you again, at least help me forget her" Devan said in a very heavy voice.

It turns out that true, no matter how hard we try to change others, the results will not be the same. Since they are not the same person, no matter how much Devan forces, he cannot change Joana.

Joana herself cried at the request. "You asked me to accompany you to forget about your past. Then, what about me, Dev? I have a heart, I can't be that easy pretending to be the woman who loves you all the time. We're different people" Joana said trying to make Devan aware.

"There is no need to pretend to love me, but learn to love me ... Joanna."
