(MM&GL) CHAPTER 42. Intrigue Games.

Devan enjoyed his cigarette while listening to the police in front of him railed against him with a lot of questions and showed evidence of the chaos that occurred last night. Beside him was his lawyer who was deliberately brought by Ken to solve the small case.

"The members of Dawn get 7 stab wounds in the abdomen and hit the vital organs that cause death. He was injured while on duty and witness Rendra said you were there too and saw you stab him" police said, showing a photo of Fajar's body still covered in blood when it was found.

"A person's testimony can be considered a failure if there is no evidence. There's no evidence CCTV or anyone else saw our client kill Fajar's brother." Devan's lawyer just defends Devan.

"It is impossible for our members to lie for such a serious matter. This photograph is clearly of our members being brutally finished off with knives. We want to make sure if Devan's brother is there or not" the police said.

"There are many things that can be done. Not necessarily my client killed your member. Why would my client have to kill a cop? Isn't that weird? As long as someone is not harassed, it is impossible to take immediate action" Devan's lawyer said.

"We were just asking and wanted to make sure, was Devan's brother there at the time of the incident?" The policeman did not lose his mind, he pursued the important points that would be the main key to the matter.

"Yes, Devandra's there."

A shocking sound suddenly came to their ears. Rendra was seen entering with a very cold face. His gaze was only on one person, namely Devandra who was not disturbed by his arrival.

"Rendra, are you cured?" the police captain who was interrogating Devan immediately got up as soon as he saw Devan's arrival.

"I'm fine, Captain. Just a small wound from a coward will not make me fall," Rendra said still glancing sharply at Devan.

"Well, you can testify." The police captain immediately allowed Rendra to enter to explain everything that happened last night.

However, not a single bit of Devan waver let alone fear. That guy is really very calm.

"Say, was it true that last night you and Dawn saw a fight with Mr Devandra?" ask Captain.

"Yes, he's there. He who finished the Dawn with his own hand. Even his men hurt me, too" explained Rendra.

"Can you prove if Mr Devandra did it? We don't know anyone you met last night" Devan's lawyer said.

"I'm not blind!" rendra was so angry. "He was there and he killed Dawn. If you don't believe what I'm saying, I have CCTV evidence that recorded the incident" Rendra said, noting his wily smile.

Devan frowned, this time Rendra's speech made him slightly disturbed. He glanced at his lawyer and looked back at Rendra.

"Where is the CCTV? Can you show us?" ask lawyers.

"Shaka took it, he's on his way here. You better confess, Devandra. Where were you last night at 2 in the morning?" todong Rendra, he knew that right now Devan must be panicking.

"It doesn't matter that I explain to you. Just give the CCTV if you really feel yourself special," ketus Devan, deliberately want to make Rendra more emotionally ignited.

Rendra wanted to swear harsh words, but the Captain prevented it by giving a gesture of silence. Arguing with Devan was obviously pointless as the man had plenty of reasons to dodge.

"How long should we wait? 1 Hour from now, if you can't prove my client guilty, I'll sue you for defamation" Devan's lawyer said.

Devan plays his mouth, his expression looks lazy and seems bored by this situation. It was really annoying and sickening for Rendra who saw it. Besides being good at killing, Devan is very good at making people emotional.

A few minutes later, Shaka was seen coming into the room. Rendra just got up and approached him.

"Did you get it?" ask Rendra.

Shaka looked at Rendra guiltily before shaking his head softly. "CCTV is dead."

"Damn!" Rendra immediately cursed furiously. Didn't expect that he would lose quickly to Devan again.

Devan smiled full of satisfaction, what did he say? Doesn't he always win?

"Brother Rendra cannot prove that my client is guilty. So this already shows if my client is free. For this matter, I will still take him to the legal path. Mr. Rendra has defamed someone without any evidence." Devan's lawyers soon turned things around by attacking Rendra on false charges.

"Can't! I was the witness who saw for himself that he had finished Dawn. He should be punished!" rendra shouted not to accept.

"What evidence? There's no, is there?"

"Now I ask, where is Devan at 2 am. If anyone can prove he's not there, he can get away with it" Rendra said, he's lost his mind.

"I'm at home" Devan said.

"Liar! You're a wedge, you're there and you killed Dawn!" Rendra shouted out loud.

"Brother Rendra, control yourself" said the Captain gave the code for Rendra to calm down.

"This man is clearly lying, he's there, Captain!" Rendra insists that Devan is imprisoned for the death of his best friend. Why does it feel so hard?

"Devan was home at that hour."

When the situation is tense, Joana suddenly appears to surprise everyone who is there including Devan. The man was very surprised to see Joana coming with Felix.

"You're asking where Devan is at 2 in the morning? He's home with me."
