Felix comes straight to Devan's house as soon as he gets a call from Joana. The man was quite surprised when Joana said that Devan was taken by the police. To know Devan was a slippery guy, how did the police take him so easily like that?

Arriving at Devan's house, he was immediately greeted by Joana's worried face. He hugged her to calm her down.

"It's okay, Devan must be okay," he said as he rubbed Joana's clothes.

Joana rounded her eyes at Felix's attitude, she immediately pushed Felix away and looked at the man she didn't like.

"I asked you here to help me meet with, Devan. Not to hug me," said Joana a little ketus.

"I'm sorry, I think you really need a friend to share your story with." Felix poked his lips, not expecting Joana's response like that.

"Oh yeah, you said Devan was taken by the police, why? What's problem?" felix asked to switch the conversation to something else.

"I don't know what's really going on. But the police accused Devan of murder. Please help Devan," said Joana immediately expressed her intention to contact Felix.

"Homicide? Who was killed?" Felix was again surprised to hear the answer coming out of Joana's mouth.

"Come, Felix. I actually doubt that Devan didn't. But I trust him, I don't want him in jail. He has promised to change," said Joana increasingly anxious considering the fate of Devan who was dragged by police.

"Wait a minute, you said Devan would change? Why are you so sure?" ask Felix again.

Joana bit her lips, then sat down to calm herself followed by Felix who was waiting for an answer from her.

"I've made peace with myself, Felix. Like you said, getting revenge right now is not the right thing. I want Devan to turn into a good person" Joana explained.

"That's a good thing, I'll be very supportive of your decision." Felix nodded in agreement.

"What should I do? How do you make Devan change?" Joana asked in a desperate tone.

It feels that the path he did will not produce satisfactory results because Devan does not really want to change. The man still likes to finish someone's life as if life is not important.

"He won't stop, except ..." Felix seemed hesitant to say it, afraid of being mispronounced or how.

"Except what?" Joana looked at Felix with a frown.

"Unless you do it yourself" Felix replied.

"His own actions? Meanin?" Joana increasingly does not understand where this Felix talks.

"Before you start everything, you should know that Devan is a person who has been in the underground world for a long time. The relationship is very much and from them all are very afraid of Devan. In that case, you can definitely judge how strong Devan is, right?" Felix explained in a serious manner and replied a nod by Joana as a sign of understanding.

"Devan never feared anything because he had power. As long as his lies were not exposed, then he would always be safe. Until then, I'm sure Devan won't really be able to change" Felix continued.

"Is there no way? Then what action did you mean just now?" Joana clasped her own hands, afraid to mix confusedly in the face of the problems that occur at this time.

"Take action by finding out about Devan's illegal business" Felix said.

"What?" Joana was surprised.

"Calm down, you just need to figure out where Devan is producing those things and where Devan is going. From here you can take the next action," said Felix explained very clearly.

"Isn't that the same as betraying Devan?" Joana frowned her forehead getting deeper, she felt the action was very far away.

"It can be said that way. But you'll know how it goes, Joana. You don't have to jail Devan, but just tell the police about it. What they've been looking for all this time is that, so if they've found it, they won't go after Devan and Devan won't be able to do anything, right?"

Joana fell silent, increasingly hesitating in the way this Felix said. It's true, he can pretend to help the police uncover where the weapons and drugs processing plant is. But later he will secretly invite Devan to leave this country and live together with a new life.

"Joana, I know you love her very much. You also don't want him to constantly destroy himself like this don't you? If you're afraid Devan will get caught, I can give you protection" Felix said.

"Can you do it?" Joana looked at Felix doubtfully.

Felix smiled faintly. "Me and Devan have almost the same power. The difference is I don't do illegal business like him" Felix slurs.

"Yes, he should have worked without taking such a big risk. I'm really worried about him, Felix," said Joana.

"Well, it looks like you really love him already huh. Too bad for this time I lost a step," Felix poked his lips.

"Forget it, now is the time to focus on our goals. I can't wait to see Devan stop committing crimes. Hopefully later he can really stop like Mega wishes," said Felix.

"I'll always make sure he gets the best, Felix. Everyone has the right to change and get a second chance" said Joana quite do not like if Felix called the name Mega.

"You're right, Devan is really in the hands of the right person right now" Felix said of his sweet smile.

"Don't overdo it, I'm not a good woman either" Joana said.

"The one who sees can judge. If I had known you first," Felix said, looking on with Joana.

Joana is so shocked, but she soon overwhelms him. He does not want to be involved in any problems to people who will cause greater problems. He must keep his heart so as not to be easily swayed, after all it seems that his heart will not waver.

"So, now can we go see Devan?" Joana immediately turned the conversation to something else.

"Of course" said Felix nodding his head in agreement.

"Alright, let's go now," said Joana hurriedly getting up from her seat.

However, before he left Felix held Joana's hand so that made the woman shocked. He almost cursed, but Felix's next remark made him undo his intentions.

"I want to ask you once again, are you sure you want to do this?" felix made sure of everything.

Joana took a deep breath before nodding with confidence.

"Very sure."

Joana's answer made Felix review a smile that is not too visible. Happy enough there is someone who wants to help his best friend to change to a better path.

Rendra looked at Joana with a sharp glare mixed with cynicism. He was grieving slowly as if so fed up with the sly couple's drama.

"I know why people say that a soul mate is a reflection of themselves. An extremely ruthless criminal has a devious and manipulative lover. What a matching couple," scorned Rendra.

Devan wants to open his mouth, but Joana immediately holds his hand, a sign that he will overcome the talkative police.

"Thank you for the compliment Lieutenant Rendra. I'm here to pick up my future husband because he's innocent of any kind" Joana said very calmly.

"May, as long as you can prove that Devan is really at home at 2 am," said Rendra pulled one corner of his lips.

Joana actually smiled, almost laughed instead, making everyone there surprised, including Devan. What is Joana thinking?

"Come Lieutenant Rendra, I know you're not an innocent man. What do you think both very romantic couples do in the middle of a blind night like that?" sahut Joana with her crisp voice. "It doesn't matter if you ask for proof. I will show you my romantic photo with my lover. Hopefully this can help," continued Joana showed a cellphone containing a photo where Devan and Joana were asleep while hugging in a thick blanket.

Rendra saw the evidence, he took the phone and checked the date and time when the photo was taken. But he did get something really disappointing.

"Hows it? Is this evidence enough? My husband-to-be is not wrong, and he can be free now," Joana said.

The policemen could not answer or simply argue. They just keep quiet when they see Devan finally have to get back out of the trap of law.

"Everything is clear with the evidence brought by Mrs Joana. We are very disappointed by the decision of the original police to arrest people and corner them without evidence. Does this performance still deserve to be called a legal institution?" chirp the lawyer Devan so fiercely.

"Close your mouth!" Rendra screamed and almost stepped forward, but Shaka held him back.

"Don't get hooked, he just happens to get away with it this time" whispered Shaka.

Devan smiled faintly, but that smile was just like a mockery to Rendra. He clenched his hand and increasingly wanted to finish off Devan.

"Darling, you are free. Let's go home now" said Joana approaching Devan so that their view was cut off.

Devan turned his head, he looked at Joana with an unusual gaze. There are a lot of questions in his mind right now. But he doesn't want to ask now. He just nodded then grabbed Joana by the waist and invited her to leave the place.

However, when Devan saw Felix's figure on the doorstep, he paused to look at the man but said nothing. It's just through the eyes, and Felix must have understood the point.
