(MM&GL) CHAPTER 31. Tension.

Felix frowned at Joana's question which he thought was ridiculous. He chuckled, looking at Joana with a funny expression.

"What's so funny?" joana, don't like being laughed at.

"Hahaha, there's no. Just feel funny, why are you asking like that? Don't you know what Devan is like?" felix said still with his laugh.

Joana bent her face, it really sounds strange if you persuade Devan to stop. The man would not listen to anyone but himself.

"Sir, this is the equipment you need." Seroang maids approached the two of them with a tray containing medicines and ice cubes.

"Yes put it there" said Felix pointing at the table beside him.

The waiter immediately put it there and hurried away leaving the two of them back.

"Eat already?" ask Felix and get pulled over by Joana.

"I will treat your wounds first, then eat and rest. There is still a little time to sleep" Felix said, taking cotton and betadine to treat Joana's arm, which was injured by the broken glass.

For this Joana did not refuse, because she herself could not treat the wound. He allowed Felix to treat him even though he had to endure the incredible pain when the betadine touched his still-wet wound.

"Shhhhh ...." Joana sizzled softly to disguise her pain, it felt really painful.

"Hurt?" felix with his beautiful eyes.

"Slightly," said Joana briefly, really can't stand the pain.

"Hold a minute, it'll be over soon."

Felix treated Joana's wounds painfully, pressing the cotton pad very gently so as not to hurt Joana. After that, he bandaged gauze on the wound to seal it perfectly.

During the process, Joana silently glanced at him, staring at the extremely calm and attentive Felix. All women should be shaking with her, but not with Joana.

"I heard, your mother died" Felix said suddenly.

"Yes." Yeah." Joana immediately confirmed.

"What are you gonna do?" felix asked, this time he looked at Joana seriously.

"Do nothing" said Joana briefly, he was lazy to discuss things that make his anger reappear.

Felix smiled faintly, leaving Joana confused.

"That's a good choice, revenge won't make your life better. But it's getting messy. Let it go, God must have a better plan for you," said Felix.

"If you're in my position, what do you want to do?" ask Joana.

"Nothing, but I remember Mega telling me. He wants Devan to be aware of his own mistakes" Felix said.

"meaning?" Joana looked at Felix confused.

"Mega's the same as you, he doesn't like Devan to engage in illegal trade that harms the State. Mega wants Devan to be legally convicted by the state and prosecuted accordingly."

"You mean Mega wants Devan in jail?" Joana was surprised to hear that word.

"Meaning Mega is good, he doesn't care if he has to wait for years Devan out of prison. The most important thing is that Devan can change" he said.

Joana frowned strangely, although it was quite reasonable, but why could she not accept it? Why would Mega want Devan in jail?

"Mr Felix." Felix's assistant rushed into the room, making the two turn their heads.

Felix raised his face, looking at the expression on his extremely nervous man's face.

"What's wrong?" ask Felix.

"Mr Devan, come."

Felix was silent, he glanced at Joana who was immediately surprised. He smiled soothingly. "Don't worry, I'll see him. You just take a break, Mauli will help you get to your room" Felix said.

Felix then calls his female servant to accompany Joana. He himself immediately met Devan who came. Actually it's predictable, Devan must have come because every thing that happens in Joana's life, there's no way Devan doesn't know. Now it seems like he has to face his grumpy best friend.

Devan might destroy Felix's house if he doesn't come soon. But luckily Felix had already met Devan before Devan had actually gone berserk.

Seeing Felix's arrival, Devan immediately met the man and directly pushed him violently.

"Aren't there enough wounds I've been given? Do I need to add any more so that you stop approaching Joana?" hardik Devan, it could not feel just talking in an ordinary tone.

"High your voice if you want to meet him" Felix said, trying to calm down in the face of Devan's anger.

"Yes, we should end it now, Dev. What you're doing is too far away" Felix said.

"Since when have you cared so much about my life?" Devan chuckles cynically. He then walked up to Felix and stood right in front of him. "What now, you want to pretend to be nice to draw Joana's sympathy, do you?" continued again.

Felix thinned his lips, he smiled casually and instead patted Devan on the shoulder.

Devan glanced at him sharply, immediately pulling his body, reluctant to come into contact with Felix.

"I think you're thinking too far, Dev. I saved Joana because of the reports from my men. I know it's pretty presumptuous, but he's innocent, isn't he? He was just in the wrong place when it happened" Felix said.

"You mean he was wrong when he was with me?" Devan further tightened his gaze.

"Not really, rather you're wrong for involving him in your problems."

Devan straightened his body hearing the answer coming out of Felix's mouth. He glanced at the man getting sharper, if it could be as if he was going to kill Felix with just the look in his eyes.

"Isn't this too far? I have forgiven you twice. Better take advantage of the opportunity I give you. Now, let me pick up my wife" Devan said, just plugging in to pick Joana up.

However, Felix actually held Devan's shoulder making Devan's hand immediately clenched.

"This time I'm against you, let him be free" Felix said.

"Give me one reason, why should I let her go?" devan said.

"Don't you know why?" Felix answered while looking at Devan's eyes very seriously.

Devan smiled, but his eyes immediately flashed with anger. "Maybe I still let him. But don't expect now I'll let you touch her!" exclaim Devan.

"Why? Can't you love him, too? Then why you-"

BUGH

Without waiting for an answer to be thrown from Felix's mouth, Devan hit the man hard on the head. He did not care when Felix was still bandaged face, the man who had started the war first.

This time Felix did not stay silent, he also hit Devan with a crushing blow. Patience has its limits too, right? This wants Devan to know that he is not an easy person to beat.

"Baji ngan! I already knew what you meant from the beginning did want him! Goddamn demon!" devan yelled as he kicked Felix in the stomach.

"Currently, don't act like you want him, Devan! Were it not for his Mega-like face, you would have never seen him either!" Felix yelled back, his stomach ached so much he had to bend.

"Your mouth really likes to talk carelessly. Shut up or I'll rip it off."

Devan is back on the move, he hates Felix's words and the man's foul intentions. It was expected that Felix's arrival would only ruin his life again. This man is somehow very doubtful Devan now. Or was he really stupid long ago?

Felix was almost dying when Devan pushed him to the floor. The man was also battered though not as badly as Felix, but it seemed Devan did not want to stop.

"Stop!" joana yelled in shock at Felix who was already helpless but beaten all out by Devan.

Devan stopped immediately when he heard Joana's voice. The man staggered up to them and immediately looked at Devan full of annoyance.

"What are you doing? Can't you just be nice for a second in someone else's house?" sergeant Joana with his angry face.

Joana tries to help Felix even though he has trouble standing up. "Can you stand up? I will help you" said Joana, extending her hand.

Felix sizzled softly, his body all aching because he had actually not healed. He tried to get up by welcoming the hand.

However, before Felix could touch Joana's hand, Devan suddenly pulled his hand violently until Joana herself almost fell.

"Devan!" joana was angry and surprised.

"Home home" Devan said so coldly, his voice was very flat a sign of the man being angry.

Joana wanted to argue back, but she kept quiet and pulled her hand back.

"Felix, come on. I'll help you" said Joana, looking back at the battered Felix.

"Can't you hear what I'm saying?" hissing Devan with teeth chattering to hold anger.

Joana does not criticize him, he does not like the attitude of Devan who he thinks is always angry. Felix was the one who helped him, but why Devan was so angry that he hurt him. His actions really upset Joana.

Devan was so furious, he immediately pulled Joana's hand rougher than before until the crutches Joana wore came off.

"What the fuck?"

"I SAID GO HOME NOW!"
