(MM&GL) CHAPTER 19. What If I Betrayed You One Day?

Devan asked very, very much if you have to part with the woman who has been a part of his life. He's been trying to accept Joana, but he can't just let her go.

Hearing Devan's words, Joana could only smile, almost laugh instead. He pulled his hand gently.

"You mean, I have to learn to love you. But once you've completely forgotten him, you can only love me as me. What if you can't forget him? Do I have to keep you company until he comes back?" joana said she felt Devan's speech made no sense at all.

"She's gone" said Devan, breathing heavy, remembering the tragic accident that Mega had suffered two years ago. "She's gone, she's bleeding, I've tried to hug her, but she's chosen to leave. I ... I'm ...." Devan's breathing became so tight that he could not continue his speech.

"Dev, are you okay?" Joana was worried, she touched the man's arm.

"I'm fine, I just want to go to the bathroom," said Joana, looking for excuses. Somehow he was nervous himself, was it because he was hiding something?

"I will take you," said Devan, immediately reach Joana's body and hold her.

"No need, no need, I can be alone," Joana refused trying to rebel.

"How to yourself? Your feet have not healed yet, for now I have to serve you," Devan said, noting his thin, alluring smile.

"If that's what you want, I'll do it" Devan said, interrupting before Joana finished her speech.

"What?" Joana was so shocked to hear that, why is it so easy?

"You serious, Dev? You're gonna help me walk?" joana asked, he forgot that he was still in Devan's arms.

Devan smiled, he rubbed Joana's cheek, making the woman a little surprised.

"All the things that make you happy I will do. I'm just asking, stay with me, Mega," said Devan, kissing Joana softly.

Joana was initially complacent, but when she heard the name Mega, she immediately woke up and reflexively pushed Devan's shoulder.

"I'm not Mega!" joana shouted in a firm voice.

"I forgot, I'm not going"

"Will not what? Repeat again? Impossible! Because I'm here because of him. Just because of her you ruined my life, because of her-"

"Sstttttt!" Devan put his index finger right in Joana's lips, making the woman immediately silent.

Joana opened her mouth, she felt like her body was reacting because of that touch.

"I'm sorry" said Devan, again to Joana's surprise.

"I'm sorry if my ways were wrong, but I never regretted choosing you as his successor. I'm sure, I can forget him, give me time, I'm just not used to it," Devan continued to look at Joana very deeply.

"Are you sure you can forget him?" joana asked, he also ventured to look at the hazel belonging to Devan that was so alluring.

"There's no reason to doubt me, I believe you can definitely give me that hope" Devan replied.

"You believe in me so much, what if someday I'll betray you?" I don't know why the question just slid off Joana's lips.

Devan was smiling again. "Trusting you is my choice, and making my choice is not wrong it's your decision."

The answer that came out of Devan's lips was completely unexpected Joana. He sees Devan who can transform into someone else in an instant. Gaining that much confidence, Joana's heartbeat suddenly raced faster.

Joana's eyeballs could only twitch at Devan without any intention of saying a word.

Devan still smiles at Joana, holds her cheek and slowly draws her closer and kisses her lips very gently.

Joana raised her eyes, she chose to close her eyes while clutching Devan's firm shoulder.

'This is wrong! This is all wrong! I cannot lose before war!'
