The truth of Alex's family

Alex clasped Chelsea's hand and smote her with a kiss, “forgive me, because I haven't noticed you in years. I'm sorry, because I can't be a good husband to you and make you like this, I'm sorry.”

“Alex, why do you keep apologizing, didn't you just say you wanted to say good news? But why do you keep apologizing like this?” Chelsea looked at Alex while frowning in confusion.

“For me, you became like this, because of me, I almost hurt our son.”

Chelsea immediately rounded his eyes, he looked at Alex questioningly, “our child? I'm probably not pregnant, Lex."

“Yes, our son,” said Alex with a smile on his face, he then kissed the back of Chelsea's hand, “we will soon have children, children we have been waiting for his presence, he said,” he said again while rubbing Chelsea's flat stomach.

Chelsea rounded his eyes when he heard what Alex said, which at the moment made him so surprised, that he was unable to speak.

Alex then tucked Chelsea's haircut behind his ear, “what you dream of, is now a reality, we will soon have a child, you are pregnant, baby.”

“I can't believe, how could I have been pregnant, all this time..."

“Lex, you're not kidding, are you? If you're kidding, this isn't funny.”

Alex shook his head, “I'm very serious, you're really pregnant with my child right now" Alex spoke in a serious tone.

Chelsea then rubbed her flat stomach, “I am pregnant..I am finally pregnant.” Chelsea's two eyes started to glaze over, “Lex, we're going to have a child, I'm going to be a mother,” she said with tears beginning to flow from both corners of her eyes.

Alex wiped Chelsea's tears, “but baby, why didn't you realize you were pregnant? Isn't every time you're late for the moon, you always test it?”

“It has been two months I did not test it, I do not want to be disappointed for the umpteenth time.”

Alex then hugged Chelsea, and kissed her forehead, “doctor will do further checks, so we know for sure about your pregnancy.”

Chelsea nodded her head, she still continued to rub her lament stomach. He still could not believe it, if there was currently a life he had to keep inside his stomach.

“Honey, I will call the doctor, so that you get checked out immediately, you wait here for a while.” Chelsea nodded her head, her gaze since then was not diverted from the belly of her queen.

Alex then moved from his seat, he stepped out of the room to look for the doctor who had examined Chelsea.

Chelsea continued to rub her stomach is still flat, "honey, finally you are present in the stomach Mama. It's been a long time since you've waited for your presence, dear." Tears flowed back from both corners of Chelsea's eyes. Those are tears of happiness.

Alex then opened the door of the examination room, he came along with the doctor who had examined Chelsea.

"Well, now I will do USG to Mrs Chelsea, so we can know for sure" said the doctor.

Chelsea nodded her head, she began to lay her body in the patient's bed and was helped by Alex.

Doctors now began to put the gel into Chelsea's stomach, after which the doctor began to move the ultrasound probe in Chelsea's lower abdomen.

Alex clasped Chelsea's hand, trying to make him feel comfortable. The man knows, if his wife is currently agitated, maybe Chelsea can not trust fully, if at this time she is pregnant with her child, the child they crave her presence.

Both Alex and Chelsea eyes are currently focused on staring at the monitor screen next to the patient bed that Chelsea sleeps.

“How was the result, doc? My wife is really pregnant, right?” ask Alex expectantly.

Chelsea also wanted to ask the doctor the same thing, but he ignored his intentions, he looked at Alex's face so tense. The woman knew that her husband wanted a child from her all along.

“Iya, Sir. As I thought, Mrs Chelsea was pregnant.” The doctor's answer made Alex and Chelsea smile happily, finally their wait for three years, fruitful.

Hearing the doctor's statement, Chelsea looked back at the monitor screen, for some reason tears flowed back from both corners of her eyes.

“Twin baby, doc?” Alex and Chelsea were both shocked. They did not expect to be given a double gift like this. They just wanted a child, but God gave them another bonus.

“Yes, twins. I hope Mr. Alex pays more attention to Mrs Chelsea's diet. His nutritional intake must be fulfilled, especially this is only the first trimester," said the doctor.

“Good, Doc. I will make sure my wife will get all that nutrition,” Alex said as he looked at the face of Chelsea who still looked confused.

“Then I stay to make a recipe for Mrs Chelsea, I will give you a vitamin booster content.” The doctor said goodbye and passed away from there the examination room.

Two pairs of eyes were still at home staring at Alex, there were so questions that made him feel very curious. How can she conceive twins, whereas in her family no one has twin genes.

Alex then helps Chelsea to sit down, he looks into the eyes of Chelsea who continue to look at him, “what are you thinking, baby?” ask him while cupping both cheeks Chelsea.

“Lex, how can I conceive twins, whereas in my family no one has twin genes? Do you know if your family has twin genes?” ask Chelsea who is still curious.

Alex nodded his head, “sorry, I never told this to you all this time, because I thought, you don't need to know.”

“What do you mean?”

“Actually I was born a twin, but not identical. I have an older sister who was born 10 minutes earlier than me,” Alex said as he brushed off his smile.

“Then, now where is your sister? why haven't you introduced her to me all this time?”

Alex let out a long sigh, “he has died in the accident that claimed the lives of my brother and mother,” he said sadly.

Chelsea looked surprised. For years she had known Alex, but she had no idea about the ins and outs of her husband's family. She was very shocked and sad because she had not known her husband's older sister.

Chelsea then told Alex to sit by her side, she then leaned her head against her husband's shoulder, “sorry me, I didn't mean to make you sad.”

Alex kissed the top of Chelsea's head, “it's me who should apologize, because I never told you about my family.”

“If I may know, what is your sister's name?”

“Alexa. She's the best sister in the world I've ever had.”

“Lex,” call Chelsea slowly.

“Hem...do you want something?” Alex looked up Chelsea's face.

“Do you want to take me to your family's grave? I would love to know them.”

Alex smiled, he then nodded his head, “after your condition starts to improve, I will invite you to meet my family.”

“Will they be happy when they see me later?”

Alex kisses Chelsea's forehead, “they will be very happy, because their son can get a woman as beautiful and as good as you. They will also be very happy, if they hear, if the son they left, has now lived happily with his small family.”

“Lex, I love you.”

Alex smiles, “I love you too.”
