“Magnus, how many centuries have you lived in this world?” ansel asked as Magnus' new ship sailed across the vast sea.
“I've been alive since there's been no civilization. So you count it yourself how many centuries.” Magnus looked straight ahead. Proud of the speed this new ship can travel.
“You are not lonely living that long alone?” Ansel couldn't imagine himself a century later. It seems like that time is still far away.
“Vampires can't feel lonely. That must be your human side saying. After all, you were born from the womb of a human being. Maybe it affects your personality. But vampires are supposed to be cold and heartless.”
“I don't think that's true. Vampires are cold and unfeeling because they want to protect themselves from pain. The proof papa can love mama very much.”
“Yes, and it almost killed him. Ah, you don't know it?” magnus asked as Ansel looked confused. “You better ask your parents yourself.”
“If you mean papa can't live without mama, it's true. Because my mom was the woman she was destined for. What about you, Magnus? Are you waiting for the figure of the woman destined for you?”
Magnus stiffened his jaw. “I don't have to wait for him.”
Because he met the woman. Even the woman was now in a secret room inside her castle.
After their voyage was over and the ship returned to the dock, the sun had already set. Magnus couldn't wait to visit Gwen.
When he entered the secret room, Magnus immediately hugged Gwen from behind and sipped the nape of her neck. “My Gwen... You waiting for me?”
Gwen brushed Magnus' hand away. “Why did you keep me here, Magnus? I want to get out. I'm tired of it..”
Sometimes if Magnus was in the mood to play with Gwen, he would make Gwen remember all her past. Because this game would be boring if Gwen just obeyed all Magnus said.
After Gwen's memory returns, the girl will scream, rebel, curse Magnus. Then, helpless against him, Gwen finally breaks down and complies with Magnus' request that he be released from this place.
Gwen is not immune to the power of vampires like Chloe because she is purely human. So Magnus could have freely erased Gwen's memory.
Today, Magnus had no idea why Gwen had suddenly behaved like this.
“Gwen, listen to me—“
“No, Magnus. And don't expect me to give my blood if you don't let me out of this place!!” Gwen shouted.
“I can prove that we are married.” Magnus curled his lips upwards. “Still not believing? Wait for me a minute.”
Magnus walked out and Gwen immediately panicked. “Where are you going? You want to leave me here again?? Please, let me go, Magnus.”
Gwen held Magnus' hand. She's crying now. He kept begging. Magnus wiped Gwen's tears.
“No, dear. I'm going back. Wait for me a minute.”
Gwen was helpless as Magnus took off his hand and closed the door again. A door that cannot be opened from the inside. Gwen was hysterical and clawed at the brick wall with her nails until they bled.
“Magnus!! Why are you so willing to do this?! Don't leave me here alone!!” The screams seemed to be unable to penetrate the thick walls. Gwen fell to the floor and cried.
But not long after, he could hear the sound of the door opening. Gwen stood up immediately.
“Yes, Gwen. I told you I'd be back. I brought you evidence to believe. View.”
In Magnus' hands, there was a tiny baby girl whose beautiful eyes were wide open. The color of chestnut brown hair is very similar to the color of his mother's hair.
Gwen gasps. “This baby... She's our child?”

Note: Gwen is different from Chloe because Gwen is a normal human being. She's not half a vampire like Chloe. So Gwen is not immune to the power of vampires.
