[Flashback Conversation Dimitri & Eden]

“You go up to my room first. I'll talk to this old granny for a minute,” Dimitri told his little babu.

Dimitri confirmed that Chloe had closed the door and said, “Tell me honestly, old grandma. Is what's on my mind the same as you?”

Eden rose from his seat, “You were right. What I guessed from the beginning was that Chloe was indeed a human created for you, Dimitri. That's why I didn't prevent Chloe from coming here, because I want you to meet.”

Dimitri frowned, “My life, can be counted on fingers how many circumstances like this could happen.”

Eden clucked, “That was caught, Mr. Dimitri. Many want to kill vampire babies born from human womb because they will be a threat to other vampires.”

A female vampire cannot conceive, nor can a male vampire impregnate a human being. But there are some instances where a human being can become pregnant and give birth because of having sex with a vampire.

No one knows for sure why it happened, and the chances of a human encounter matching that vampire are very few.

The signs are just like Chloe's. Dimitri was immediately attracted to Chloe even though the woman was about to kill him, Dimitri's bite could not be immediately lost, his blood tasted more delicious than ordinary humans.

“But why can't I control his mind?”

Eden shook her head, “I'm also still wondering why Chloe isn't braving against vampire power. Did he just react that way to you or to other vampires as well?”

Dimitri gazed out the window into the dark sky, just as he had lived for 999 years in loneliness. He never committed himself to another vampire, the woman he slept with just to satisfy his thirst.

“So how, Dimitri? I see you're very interested in him. Are you going to turn him into a vampire so you can live together forever?”

Dimitri never bit a human until he turned into a vampire. New vampires are so unruly, they can only troublemaker.

“Not going. Chloe must remain a human being. Until one day I'm bored, I'll take it off. At that time, I hope you have a spell that can make him forget me, Eden.”

Dimitri's heart, which had been frozen, was stunned when he heard his own words.

But she won't torture Chloe by living an eternity like her.

“It's a pity, whereas if you turn her into a vampire, Chloe doesn't need a spell from me and can forever speak.” Eden said sadly.

But Eden knew Dimitri was at war with his own heart.

“Maybe I'll try if Chloe can really get pregnant.”

Eden widened his eyes, “That's a big risk, Dimitri! If you are not careful, the child born will be hunted by another vampire.”

“Not to be surprised so, Eden. I haven't made a definite decision.”

In the depths of his heart, Dimitri D’Arcy yearns for a child who can fill the void of his soul.

Chloe’s POV

[Castles D’Arcy]

“Chloe, if I declare love to Ulrich, will he repay my love? What do you think, Chloe?”

Gladys and I were hanging clothes on that sunny morning. It has been the second day since Mr Dimitri's departure. Honestly speaking, there was nothing empty without him in this large, desolate castle.

Ever since I could speak, Gladys wasn't being a bitch again. We even exchanged a lot of stories about our lives. Gladys said he was also born into a poor family. Her father was often intoxicated and her mother had to work as a paid woman outside.

I smiled at Gladys, “I support you, Gladys! Ulrich is a good man.”.

“But I doubt it, Chloe! What if he rejects me?” Gladys buried his face in one of the rags that were being sun dried.

“Try to tell me how you feel, Gladys. If you hadn't told me, Ulrich would never have known.”

Gladys raises her head, “You're right, Chloe.. I must dare to express my feelings to Ulrich. But you're not jealous, are you?”

I laughed but the sound came out hoarse, then I cleared my throat and tried to talk again.

Why is my voice getting hoarse and as if it's out of battery? My throat is also scratchy.

“Why Chloe? You said you'd support me? Huh! Here's the rest you sun yourself.” snorted Gladys and passed away leaving me.

“E-ehhh, Gladys.”

That day Gladys snooped at me, he must have misunderstood. Ulrich was also not in the castle, he took a leave of absence to meet with his sister. The butler allowed it because Mr. Dimitri wasn't here either.

I went looking for Eden, but the old grandmother wasn't in the castle. Where did he disappear when I needed him?

The second night Mr Dimitri was absent, the bite marks were itchy and swollen. It's the same as when Mr. Dimitri sucked Gladys' blood!

Did Mr Dimitri suck another woman's blood in there?

I couldn't sleep due to enduring the pain and ended up going out to look for a fresh breeze. I walked out while holding my throbbing neck and was shocked when Mr. Draven appeared from behind.

I screamed but his voice sounded like a choking chicken.

Mr. Draven laughed to the point of holding back his tears, “Chloe! What's wrong with you?”

“My voice is up, sir.” I replied.

You know when the voice is running out but still able to talk? Well, that's it.

I unconsciously removed my hand from my neck and Mr. Draven saw the swollen bite marks.

“Chloe! It's getting worse.. Why is this so?” ask Mr. Draven worriedly.

“This is because Mr Dimitri is sucking the blood of another woman!” I was unconscious.

Mr. Draven raised his round eyes with a surprised expression, then he slowly smiled as if he knew a secret.

“It feels itchy and burning right?”

“Ya sir. Why do you know?”

“I have one way to recover it, Chloe. Dimitri really has no feelings, he must be sucking the blood of another woman no matter what happens to you.”

Every word of Mr. Draven pierces my heart because everything is true.

“What's the way, sir?”

Mr. Draven bowed his head parallel to my face, “I'll suck your blood, Chloe.”

I jumped in shock and took a thousand steps back away from the vampire.

“You're crazy, sir? I've only ever done that with Mr. Dimitri.”.

Mr Draven devoured the distance between us, “Aren't you curious, Chloe, how would it feel if your blood was sucked by another vampire? Just try with me. I'm not going to tell Dimitri, okay?”

“T-no want, sir! I'm not a passable item if you're bored! Good night, Mr. Draven.”

I turned my back leaving Mr. Draven still standing there.

“Dimitri won't be home so soon.. If you can't stand it and need my help, I'm here, Chloe!”
