“Papa, papa...” Dwayne stepped foot towards the end of the ship, he remembered earlier how his father and Edric got down from there.
Not yet had the little boy crawled down, a pair of hands had already raised him. “Papa will be back soon.”
“Dwayne wants to join papa.” He pointed towards the way his father left.
“Good, good. We're just gonna peek in the distance because little kids can't get into this creepy castle. Understand?”
“Quick, Eden!” whining.
Eden carefully got off the ship and led Dwayne's hand. He was old, not strong enough to hold a small child for long. Moreover, Dwayne's body is getting heavier as he grows bigger.
Suddenly he stopped. His body was so stiff and his gaze was blank. Dwayne gasped when the hand holding him did not move.
“Eden, eden. You why?” She was tugging at Eden's clothes but the grandmother was unmoved.
Then suddenly Eden blinked his eyes quickly, making Dwayne confused.
“You sick?”
Eden lowered her body and rubbed the little boy's hair. “Dwayne wait here yes. I have business to finish. Just a minute and Dwayne can't run anywhere. Understand?”
“But Dwayne wants to find papa..”.
“Yes, papa will pick up Dwayne. The obedient ones are sitting here.”
Eden guided the boy's shoulder to sit on a rock. He looked to the left and to the right. The sepals are springing up and there's nothing. The island was also barren, so there was no way there were any ferocious beasts threatening.
It seems like Dwayne understood that Eden was worried about him so he said, “Go ahead if you have any business. No one can hurt Dwayne. Dwayne will be waiting for you here.”
Ah, right too. No one would hurt Dwayne because of his special powers. Eden smiled and gave the last elusan in her head.
“I'll miss you, peanut. Goodbye.”
Dwayne waved his hand as usual. “Bye bye Eden!”
Eden climbed the high and long climbs, until he could see the towering castle. He looked back and the small figure of Dwayne was nowhere to be seen anymore. He smiled faintly then with definite steps moved towards the castle.
The voice of Dimitri. “Chloe, I also didn't know you were alive and living with Edric. But you have to understand. Edric..”.
““Shut! I'm not talking to you.”
Everything happened so fast. Perhaps in just one blink of an eye, Chloe who was standing a few meters away was suddenly already in front of Edric.
But as if Dimitri knew what Chloe was going to do, Dimitri stepped over Edric's body, making the man surprised and took a few steps back.
Eden can't see what happens next but he knows. Chloe's screams rang out and Dimitri's body slowly became dust.
The moving clouds gathered covering the sun made the sky around the castle suddenly dark. Thunder rang out from a distance and a flash of light grabbed out was accompanied by a loud rumble.

[Chloe’s POV]
These tikamans hit my chest, this tightness and pain I had never felt before. I hugged Dimitri's robe and gripped my chest. Is that my voice? His howling sounded bitter.
Why did this happen? I didn't mean to kill Edric, let alone Dimitri. I intended to stop the attack just before my dagger scratched Edric's skin. Dimitri may have misjudged that he was protecting Edric.
But this is just a nightmare.
“I'll wake up in a minute. I'll definitely wake up. It's just a nightmare. You're gonna hug me and say that this is all just a dream. Dimitri, please, please come back to me..”.
Lightning strikes and everything turns white. I was still in a sitting position but my hands were nothing. I lifted my head and saw Eden there.
“Eden, Dimitri.. Did you see it? Dimitri where?”
“Chloe, you really killed him. Dimitri is gone.”
I held my head that was about to break. “No, no. I can't believe it. He must be playing me.”
Then I laughed and shouted. “Dimiters! Stop this game!”
“No, no. If you want me to be your toy, you need to get out first. I'll be happy to be your toy. Did you hear it?!”
I held my head back, unable to stop fumbling until a pair of wrinkled hands lowered my hand.
“Chloe, I can help you. But you have to choose quickly.”
I tilt my head slightly to the side.
“I'll give you two choices. Turn the clock back on when you entered Dimitri's room two and a half years ago, or turn the clock back on when you pulled your dagger a few minutes ago.”
“I don't care. I just want him back. Eden, please help me find him.”
“Chloe!” Eden slapped me on the cheek and I fell silent.
If Eden turned back time to two and a half years ago, maybe I wouldn't have had to go through this suffering. Maybe my story with Dimitri will be different.
But Dwayne…
“Restore time to a few minutes ago before this all happened.”
“You sure?”
I nodded for sure. Everything that happened was a valuable lesson for me. I don't want to change the course of this destiny. I was created to be Dimitri's soul mate.
We were meant to be together.
Eden smiled and stroked my cheek with her wrinkled hands. “I'm sorry for erasing your memory, Chloe. Tell Dimitri that I am proud to serve him and forever he is my master.”
Eden's words sounded like a farewell, I had not had time to ask and suddenly the white background that was around us disappeared.
“Chloe, I also didn't know you were alive—“
I blinked my eyes in disbelief. Dimitri was really there standing talking. Her mouth moved, the voice I missed. Dimitri was still alive!
“Edric does all this to keep your feelings in check. He thinks that you are not ready to know before you meet me.”
In a moment I hugged him. “Dimitri!”
He almost fell down but was quickly able to stabilize his body and wrap his hands around my back.
“Chloe?”
“You are really real. You are still here.”
I kissed her whole face looking surprised. Then he grabbed my head and looked me in the eye.
“You're a strange wife. Didn't you secretly run away with Alaric? Oh, you're sober and finally sorry?”
I couldn't even get angry as she used such an annoying tone and hugged him back.
“Wait, Eden gave you back to me.”
Dimitri scrunched his forehead confused but he turned his head.
A reddish glow appears in the eastern sky ahead of sunrise, radiating horizontally on the horizon line. Eden walked away and his figure fell into the sand, fusing into the ground.
Eden's magic had consequences and she knew it, so she said goodbye like that.
Thank you, Eden. I said in my heart. Because you also brought me up with Dimitri.
