A king's servant helped me wear clothes for dinner. The dress was emerald green with small leaf embroidery radiating down, sabrina-sleeved and the top of my chest fruit could look a little.
“Hmm.. Sorry but the waist is small, miss.”
Duh dang! I ate most of it this afternoon. I have to remember to control myself later.
With great difficulty the waiter pulled his zipper up. I held my breath so I could wear this beautiful and elegant dress.
The waiter Dorothy styled my hair, tied it up deftly and she looked at my neck.
“Nona? This is a birthmark huh?”
I covered Mr. Dimitri's bite marks with my palm, “Ah, this was bitten by an animal. I'd better get my hair cut, don't tie it, Dorothy.”
“Can't, miss. It is already a rule in the kingdom that unmarried women, her hair should not be stroked down.”
I looked inside the jewelry box, looking for something that could cover my neck and found a colored choker almost similar to my dress.
“This is my help dressing her, miss.” Dorothy took it from my hand and wrapped the green choker around my neck.
“Nona is so beautiful!” the compliment and I smiled looking at myself in the mirror.
Mr. Dimitri will definitely be pleased with my performance.
“How long have you been working here Dorothy?” ask me when he's concentrating on fixing my hair.
“Ehmm.. From when I was 12, miss. My mother has served the king before and I also want to serve the king. Usually Mr. Dimitri is also me who serves.”
I scrunched my forehead.
“Ah, sorry miss. A noble girl like you must not know that the man needs more service than a woman! I'd better shut my mouth, sorry lady. I've spoken presumptuously to Mr Dimitri's nephew!”
Niece? Oh so Dimitri told everyone that I was his nephew? Okayiyy.
“No, Dorothy.. I wonder when was the last time you were ‘servis’ Mr Dimitri?” my fanc.
Dorothy blushed embarrassedly, “Last it was about three weeks ago, miss. But I like it, miss. Mr. Dimitri is indeed a good guy in bed.”
I clenched my teeth and my hands clenched so tightly.
Goddamnit! So that's why my neck was itchy and burning when Mr. Dimitri was away for a week! It turns out that he was sucking Dorothy's blood and so much more! Watch out for you Dimitri!
“Sorry miss must be surprised huh. But ladies will soon know what I mean.”
“Why is that Dorothy?”
“Listen-heard gossip anyway there will be an engagement party tomorrow night, coinciding with Mr. Dimitri's birthday. But I don't know who's getting engaged yet, miss. I thought it was miss.” Dorothy smiled wryly.
Did the king approve of my relationship with Dimitri? He wants us to get married?
I was too excited about the possibility that could happen until I didn't realize that Dorothy was done. I thanked him and waited for Dimitri in my room alone, hoping he would pick me up.
But half an hour passed and no one called me, the dinner started 15 minutes ago. I finally went down by myself.
A bodyguard led me into a large room, the benches were full and all eyes were on me when the door opened.
DEG!
I turned out to be late and should be ashamed when seen by everyone. My eyes were looking for the whereabouts of a single person, he was sitting between a long and large dining table, with a young girl beside him.
Dimitri got up from his chair, “Sorry everyone. That's my niece, Chloe Isabel.”
I threw a clumsy smile, my eyes focused only on Mr. Dimitri walking towards me. I smiled with relief as Mr. Dimitri stood before me.
“Sorry, sir, I..”
“Chloe, I told you to take care of manners. That late is not in the dictionary,” whispered Mr. Dimitri in my ear.
I broke out in a cold sweat hearing her cynical tone but I maintained a smile on my face.
A thin, tall man with long, shoulder-length blonde hair. “Oh, so you're Chloe? I can't wait to see you.”
I salute as Eden has taught me, “Good night, King Rudolmuv. My name is Chloe Isabel. Nice to meet you, king.”
“Sit down, we'll have a chat after dinner. Come on another one, continue the dinner.”
Mr. Dimitri moved away from beside me and I followed him like a chick afraid of losing its mother.
But there is no more seat in Mr. Dimitri's line.
“Sorry, young lady. Looks like you should sit there.”
The most beautiful girl I have ever seen, pointing to an empty chair at the end of the table, was very far away with Mr. Dimitri.
But Mr. Dimitri ignored me and continued his dinner. Not wanting to look stupid by standing dumb, I walked to the empty chair at the end of the table.
A waiter helped me pull out a chair and food was served in front of me. I kept glancing at Mr. Dimitri, hoping his eyes would look at me and calm me down.
But Mr. Dimitri and the beautiful girl had a good conversation. I saw the fancy food on my plate and did not dare to eat it. I'm afraid my stomach is going to pop.
“Small phone, why are you pensive?”
That voice broke my daydream. “Ah, sorry... I was just thinking how the chef cooks food this delicious.”
“Enak? But you haven't tasted it a single spoon,” the man beside me said.
She had brown hair neatly combed to the side, her nose pointed and her skin pure white.
Is he a vampire too?
I looked around the table but there was nothing I could tell between a vampire or an ordinary human being at the table. How creepy!
Mr Dimitri laughed loosely with the beautiful girl and I subconsciously asked, “Who is that girl? She is very beautiful.”
The man beside me kindly replied, “Oh, she is Princess Adreana Petrova. The son of one of the tyrant nobles in this kingdom. His father had abundant wealth and great warrior power.”
I got a beard and then realized, “Sorry... I forgot to introduce myself to you.”
The man smiled kindly, “I already know you, Chloe Isabel. My name is Edric Suarez from the kingdom of Azov.”
I gulped, “Mr Suarez, you're from the Azov kingdom? Why are you here, sir? I think the two countries are currently at war? Sorry I don't know anything about politics.”
Mr. Suarez laughed and took a sip of his wine, his right hand filled with a large rocky ring.
“It can be said I am an ambassador of the Azov kingdom stationed here because both kingdoms are in a truce, meaning not in a position of war. But if war breaks out, then I'm guaranteed to return to Azov's kingdom safely. You can understand, little lady?”
I knew a little what Mr. Suarez meant so I nodded.
“Ya, sir. I hope that what I do will not threaten the peace of the kingdom,” I whispered to myself.
“Let's just relax, Dimitri told me the real story. I will return to Azov in a few days, I hope King Azov does not wrath.”
I glanced and looked at Mr. Suarez's face.
“What do you mean sir, know everything?”
Mr. Suarez rolled his eyes and whispered, “That you have killed a vampire, Chloe.”
DEG!
It turns out that Mr. Suarez is a vampire too!
Dinner was over and my stomach was rumbling because I only drank water. I put my hand on my stomach.
Peanut, don't kick mama just yet. After the show is over, mom will eat a lot, son!
I smiled as if my son could hear his mother's words and obediently did not kick again.
Mr Dimitri appeared before me, “Why? Your stomach hurts?”
I haven't told Mr. Dimitri that his son can kick in the stomach.
Your son will be a great football player, Dimitri!
I was about to tell Mr. Dimitri, when the beautiful Princess Adreana embraced the hand of my son's father.
“Dimitri, the king says he wants to meet your nephew,” his voice is very sweet and a little spoiled.
“Chloe, King Rudolmuv just wanted to have a quick chat. I hope you behave well.”
“T-lord Dimitri, you didn't accompany me to go to the king? I'm afraid to be alone.”.
Princess Adreana laughs, “Not to be afraid of little girls. You should have been more afraid of the man sitting next to you earlier.”
I was about to say that Mr. Suarez was a friendly and kind man but Mr. Dimitri already shook his head and told me to go to the king immediately.
My hands trembled as I faced King Rudolmuv on his golden throne.
“Good night, King Rudolmuv.”
